An Art Deco diner that had great fried mushrooms. The wife had a blackened chicken Cobb salad that she will probably make 2 more meals out of what she took home. My family and I had dinner 4/2/22 at Fenders.... The service was good the FOOD was good too, four of us had the moms sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs and hash browns, my daughter had the Popeye burger and she said it was super good but my other daughter had the Buffalo chicken dip said she didn't like it tasted like the chicken came out of a can but I couldn't tell myself but I would definitely recommend this restaurant and the over the top milkshake they loved and the fried Oreo cookies were good too!! read more

Such a HUGE disappointment tonight! A group of my friends and I (party of 5) went to Fender's Alley this evening for dinner and to listen to the music. The music (Scott Low) was WONDERFUL, our server was a nice young man who seemed overwhelmed, but we waited so long for our food that I cancelled my order and left. Over an hour waiting for food while others who ordered after us were served was unacceptable. (I did pay for my Coke Zero and tipped our server.) One friend ordered a Texas margarita. The first one she got was just a plain house margarita. It was sent back. The second one was clearly NOT a Texas margarita, but some tequila concoction with orange juice and definitely not even a margarita. The venue is nice, but apparently the kitchen is clueless and whomever the bartender was is even more clueless than the kitchen staff. I'd like to go back just for the music, but definitely will not be getting food there. read more

Visited Fenders for the first time since it is now under new ownership. It was way brighter and cleaner than my previous visit. The bathrooms were pristine and cleanliness seems to be of the upmost importance, as it should be. I was really impressed. My daughter-in-law and I both ordered the same thing, bbq sandwich with slaw and fries. I have to admit, it was the best bbq I've had in a very long time. The smokiness was awesome, giving it a fresh over the fire taste. The slaw was good as well. The pickles would have been better had they been spears and not two little pickle chips. I asked for additional pickles and was given a little metal cup that had 3 more chips in it and was charged .50. We ordered a side of onion rings to share that were very good, fresh and hot. The waitress was very nice and knowledgable and told us they were opening another establishment next door. The portions were ample, fresh and hot. My only issue was the cost. I found it very pricey for what it was. $12.00 for a sandwich and fries I felt was pretty excessive. When looking over the menu I found everything in the $11 or $12 range, even a salad. At those prices I can see why there were only three other people in there at lunch time. They can make money if they charged $9.00 for what we had and not charged us for 3 additional pickle chips. Not good business practice if you're trying to generate a good name and increase revenue. Word of mouth is everything. At these prices, no, I won't go back. Understandably, food prices have escalated over the last year, but this is a little over the top. read more

I came today to try out some of their Sunday brunch items, and they were a bit busy. Our waitress was super awesome, she took the time to joke with us and make it a delightful experience. I ordered a large selection that I hoped would satisfy my insatiable hunger. The food came out within 20 minutes and it was hot and fresh. I got a Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit, Strawberry Milkshake, Brunch Burger, and Buttermilk Pancakes. The Brunch Burger was an epic combination, the Funnel Cake Bun and over medium egg were definitely the best part. The BE&C Biscuit was a bit dry, and I would choose the brunch burger over it any day. The milkshake was sweeter and more rich than your average diner milkshake, it was great for my sugar tooth though. The pancakes were very good, and they had a honey maple syrup that elevated them highly. One of the pancakes was still doughy in the middle, I mentioned it to the waitress and she brought me an another order of pancakes for no additional charge. My brother and I shared the food and we had no problem polishing it off. The only complaint I have is the additional 2$ charge for fries even though the sandwiches are supposed to include a side. Overall I'll definitely continue to come here for the good service and expansive menu options. read more

Food is Amazing, especially their gigantic cat head biscuits. Very nice atmosphere with great outdoor dining too.

Stopped while driving around in N. Georgia, we were not disappointed. Had a French dip type sandwich and the fried fish sandwich. Both were excellent, staff were friendly and attentive. Was not pleased to see many wait staff dropping their face masks below their chins and manager (?) walking around with no mask. We would stop here again. read more

Hubby and I tried this place based solely on reviews...most of which were good. Either we caught them on a VERY VERY bad night (Friday night around 7:00 and nowhere near busy) or the majority of people who eat there and posted reviews, have no discernible palate whatsoever!!! I had such high hopes the salad bar people were raving about was going to become my new fav, turned out to be something out of a vegans nightmare! Maybe 10 items total including the lettuce...they actually have the audacity to charge $4.99 for one trip and $9.99 AYCE. It's apparent the salad bar ravers have never eaten at Jason's Deli!!!!!!! I got the "Big Bopper" burger and onion rings, hubby the "Bacon cheeseburger" and sweet potato fries. Although the size of the burgers were good, that is where good ended...the frozen pattys had *******ZERO******* seasoning, were terribly overdone and dry... reminiscent to elementary school lunch burgers. Even adding grilled onions, mushrooms and chili didn't save these tired, sad hockey pucks!!! Each item of which they charge extra, of course. The onion rings were okay and the dipping sauce for them was the best part of the meal for me. Hubby said the sweet potato fries were frozen out of a bag, nothing to write home about. The dipping sauce for them was aggressively over sweet, marshmallow fluff with cinnamon sugar, I think. The staff was almost as poor as the food...I told our servers (we had three different servers for some reason) SEVERAL times "it's our first time here". Obviously this fell on deaf ears, or else they just don't care AT ALL to help first timers have a GOOD FIRST IMPRESSIONS MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE!!! The decor-ambiance is the ONLY part we agree with other reviewers on being good...and even that was just okay...but who wants to spend $35.00 on a just okay experience? Not us...never again. Both are equally wonderful! The food was great, we had two picky eaters and they loved their food too! Staff and owner (Melissa) were very friendly. The food is good but the service is terrible. The waiter did not take our order till we were there for a while. We asked for dessert and they had nothing but not good ice cream. We went there to have a banana spilt and they were out of banana. I also got a burger with no onions and the still put onions on my burger. But the food is really amazin! After seeing the reviews I was excited enough to see try it on my way to NC. Overall, I was utterly disappointed. The only plus side was that the service wasn't terrible, but it wasn't exceptional either. The fried chicken was flavorless and didn't have enough crisp, and my mom found some hair in her burger. My brother's chili was chunky and didn't go well with the hot dog, and my sister's chicken nuggets were stale and generic. My Mac and cheese was by far the worst excuse for pasta I've ever tasted in my life. It was five pieces of large elbow pasta in a disgusting, soupy, watery liquid. I had to spit out the piece I had. The vibe was nice but it felt old and dusty, not fresh out of the 50s like Johnny Rockets or Steak n' Shake. Overall it wasn't the worst meal I've had in my life, but I'll probably never go out of my way to be back. read more
