I wish I could leave 0 stars. My experience with this business was extremely disappointing, and I…read morewould not trust them with my vehicle again. My vehicle was at this shop for approximately three weeks. When it was initially towed there, I specifically informed them that there was suspension damage involving the lower control arm and strut. When the vehicle eventually needed an alignment after the body work, the manager, Seth, claimed, "This is the first I'm hearing of it." That was extremely frustrating because I had already communicated this issue when the vehicle arrived. Throughout the three weeks my vehicle was there, I noticed that it had been driven in SPORT mode several times and at speeds over 60 mph on local roads. The vehicle was reportedly only being driven to Riverdale in West Springfield and back, so I had legitimate concerns about why my vehicle was being driven at those speeds. I brought this concern to their attention multiple times. There were also multiple occasions during this time when my vehicle was left unlocked. I was repeatedly reassured that employees were checking the doors to make sure vehicles were secured, but clearly that was not consistently happening. On 8/3, after the shop failed to properly communicate with me about where my vehicle was being taken, I trusted my instincts and went to check on my vehicle myself. I discovered that they had sent it to Balise Mazda. I had NOT consented to my vehicle being taken there. I had specifically requested that it be taken to Toyota for the necessary alignment and calibration. Finding out that my vehicle had been moved to a different dealership without my authorization was extremely concerning and felt deceptive. Seth later stated that his reasoning for taking it to Balise Mazda was, "We take it to the closest dealership." However, that does not address the fact that I had specifically requested Toyota and was not properly informed that my vehicle was being taken elsewhere. Even more concerning, the vehicle was left unattended and unlocked in a lot without cameras near McDonald's, with homeless individuals walking nearby. This is particularly unacceptable considering I had already raised concerns about my vehicle being left unlocked and was repeatedly reassured that employees were checking the doors to ensure they were secured. Clearly, that was not the case. On 8/4, the car was taken to Expert glass and calibration- which is 2 miles from my car dealership (Balise Toyota ) they blatantly refused to take it the dealership despite being down the street. Sheer laziness. On 8/4, one of the employees named Emily--the Emily who has sunflowers in her office--asked me whether I had trackers in my vehicle when I showed up at the collision shop 20 minutes after my car arrived back from Expert Glass and calibration. I found that question extremely unprofessional and inappropriate under the circumstances. It is my vehicle, and I have every right to monitor its location while it is in someone else's possession, especially after noticing it being driven in SPORT mode and at speeds over 60 mph. If an employee is driving a customer's vehicle in a manner that causes the customer to question what is happening with their vehicle, the appropriate response should be to address the customer's concerns--not question how the customer is able to monitor their own property. The problem was that it was being driven that way in the first place. Ultimately, because the vehicle was not properly repaired and was unsafe to drive, it had to be towed again. The brakes and accelerator were not responding properly, and I nearly had another accident because of how unsafe the vehicle was to operate. The door and window sensors were also not properly calibrated. These are not minor inconveniences--they are serious safety concerns. The earliest appointment I could get with Toyota is 8/11, meaning my vehicle will now be sitting at the dealership until it can be properly inspected and serviced. I was also extremely disappointed with the condition of my vehicle when it was returned. My car now smells like cigarettes, and there is still residue inside from the repair work. When I raised concerns about the cleanliness, Seth attempted to challenge me about the condition of my vehicle and claimed their "detailer" had done me a favor because the vehicle allegedly arrived dirtier. That response felt incredibly dismissive and avoided the actual concern. The front desk staff were also inconsistent when it came to customer service. While some employees were semi-friendly, I experienced issues such as calls being disconnected and staff repeatedly needing to seek out a manager rather than addressing customer concerns themselves. If you choose to use this shop, I strongly recommend documenting everything, communicating requests in writing, and thoroughly inspecting your vehicle before accepting it back.
