Let's just say up front I am not stupid. I am a 57 year old woman who has had an inspection on many…read morecars. With that said I have just had the worse experience with trying to get my inspection. When arriving I wore my mask and knocked on the door for service as per the note on the door. This large man opened the door and just stared at me. So I let him know I had an appt for an inspection. Do you have your registration he asks. Yes I put it on the passenger seat (as I have always been instructed to do before). He then says every 16 yr old knows to bring it with you. I ask so you are saying a 57 yr old woman needs to be instructed like a 16 yr old. He just stares. Ok I will go get it I say, no he says, it is good you have the attitude like a 16 yr old. Then he asks, Well, do you at least have your keys. (Well obviously as I drove there!) I am very irritated by now but I want to get my vehicle done. I hand him my keys and ask do you have a place to sit and wait. He then points to the landscaped wall being soaked by the sprinklers and says I have a wall. I took my keys back and left. I know this is long but I want you all to know the depths of this man's rudeness. Beware going here. Cherie

Lyndale Garage is my go-to place for all things car related in the neighborhood. The service is…read morealways prompt and courteous. To give you an idea of their prices an oil change is $29.99 and the price to replace a starter on a 2008 Kia is $341 (obviously the price will vary depending on part prices). I forgot how much the inspection cost but it was around $20 or so. They did not charge me anything for diagnostics twice which was very nice of them! I believe they offer a AAA discount 10% (up to $50) check your AAA membership and ask Lyndale Garage about it. They offer a quick and thorough inspection on Saturdays (I believe 8am to noon?) which is convenient. There is a yellow line on the right side as you pull up to the garage, just park in that line and wait your turn (it may be beneficial to keep your car running so it's warmed up and the engine runs smoothly). They don't work on weekends which I think is loss of good business as that is the best time to bring your car in for problems so as it doesn't interfere with your Mon-Fri job. Having searched for mechanics who work on weekends, there are very few out there, this is a prime opportunity to capture all of the weekend customers in the area. The money might even offset hiring a weekend mechanic and service person? I can't speak about the mechanics as I've never interacted with them, but the woman who answers the phone sometimes and Dan at the front desk are always a pleasure to speak with! Overall I am very happy with this place, it seems like a family run business that won't rip you off like some shady car places. Definitely give them a try next time your car is acting up.

I brought my vehicle in for an estimate for a repair. I met with Mike, who is responsible for all…read moreof the estimates. He viewed my vehicle, said it would be between $1800-$2000 for the repair depending on the current cost of materials. He said he would send me the written estimate and I thought it was a fair estimate/price and scheduled the repair pending the written estimate. Two weeks later, I received the estimate and he had increased the price to ALMOST $3200. Nothing had changed with my vehicle. I called and spoke with Mike and he acknowledged the verbal estimate and he said, "I should really stop giving verbal estimates." He then "adjusted" some things and lowered the estimate to $2600. After a contentious conversation, I told him to send me the written estimate and he agreed. About two hours later he sent me an email telling me that they are not willing to work on my vehicle and that my appointment was cancelled. Totally unprofessional and blatantly lied, blaming me for "relying on a verbal estimate in a parking lot." He also told me if I didn't like it, get a lawyer.

When I got home I saw that one of the doors had not been done so I had to do it myself after paying them $275 and having to go back.
