That was over 20 years ago. We have been adopting senior dogs from rescue organizations and shelters a lot since then. When we bring in a new senior, we always consult with Cathy what diet is needed for their particular issues. Many of our new adoptions have kidney, skin or liver issues. They have ultra-shiny coats, healthy skin and joints, excellent digestion, and vibrant energy. I have a 1 1/2 old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy named Charlotte and she hasn't ever had to go to the vet except for basic puppy shots and checkups. Her coat glistens and shines. The ingredients in their raw is top notch. They only use the best. Feedthis has been the leader in this industry and I trust them implicitly. I know raw seems a bit pricey compared to kibble, but the benefits outweigh the minimal additional cost. The amount I will save in vet bills and just the peace of mind she's not getting crap. . My initial review of Feed This was only one star because I didn't hear back from them for over a week after I sent them an email. I sent them a second reminder email, and they got in touch with me shortly thereafter, and things have been awesome ever since. So awesome that I completely abolished my original review. Here is my new and improved review: If you need help deciding if raw is for you and your pet(s), Tiffany and Cathy will be able to answer your questions. If you feed your dog raw, or are thinking about feeding your dog raw, Feed This is the place to get everything you need. You just need to fill out their short questionnaire and they will be able to customize a complete diet for your pet. You can pay a little bit more to have all of it portioned out, so all you have to do is give them a package worth of food at each meal. So simple! I just got my first order yesterday, and I am already in love with the service. Kohl eats ~3# of food a day, and the section of my normal freezer designated for Kohl only holds about 10#, so I was going to the grocery store literally 3-5 days a week, and sometimes more if no good deals were going on. I just got a 5 cubic ft chest freezer for my patio, and it is happily holding food for my boy for the next month from Feed This!. While yes, I just paid out $150 ish for the freezer, and paid for all of his food up front, I got a GREAT deal on the food (less than I would have paid the store on better quality meats) and I no longer have to pay for gas or take the time to go to the store, where inevitably, I would buy something I didn't need and would then spend even more money. I am tickled about this service. The staff is small, so they may take a little time to get back to you initially, but I have gotten excellent customer service since we got things rolling. I would highly recommend you check them out. All of their food is from local distributors, and it is all human quality, so you can feel good about feeding Feed This for a number of reasons. My order came as promised with careful instructions on how to feed and it was individually tailored for each of my dogs. Its not gross like I thought it would be and my dogs love it! If you are looking for quality food for your pets, this is the answer. I have been feeding my dogs the food from Feed This since 2000. Feeding this diet has helped in many ways. All of my dogs have beautiful coats, nice white teeth, and healthy all the way around. Have not had any issues with fleas and yard clean up is much nicer! Dinner time in our house is quite an event. All of the dogs are excited to eat and do so with gusto. Back in the day when I used kibble, I never had any of the above mentioned experiences. Ordering food is quite easy. There is even an "auto-ship" to simplify things. Even though I live 3 1/2 hours away, I am able to get my food delivered. The packaging is done so well that everything is still frozen when it arrives. The owner takes pride in her business and her product. The employees are all happy, friendly, and extremely helpful. I used Feed This for about 14 years of my dogs 17 year life. He was a rescue so probably ate low grade kibble the first few years. Not only did he live a LONG time for a 65 lb. dog, he was extremely healthy and required very few vet visits. The cost of the food by far off set the potential cost of the vet bills. Really wanted to love this company, but had a very mixed experience. Found them to be rather unprofessional (lack of organization/ communication internally, in addition to a website that desperately needs to be updated) and also lacking transparency in their products, which was a big deal for me. When I requested to know specifically which vegetables and herbs were being used in each batch I received, I was referred to the portion of the website that said they used organic vegetables and herbs. I wanted to know more than the protein source I was feeding to my dog, (which took 2 conversations to even get that information) and the lack of directness to their responses time and again made me uneasy. I didn't feel like I was asking a lot to want to know this information. I also got a bad batch of one food and when I inquired and asked for a refund I was told I was wrong because no one else had complained. Then they couldn't "figure out" what the total refund would be..and then I never received it. I really wanted to keep using them and most of the staff was very nice during all of our conversations, but ultimately it came down to several small frustrations and feeling disrespected by the owner, in particular. I hope they are able to improve these things in the future- seems like they need a couple more people working for them who are technologically savvy and understand that people want to know the details, not just to "Feed This!" regardless of what "this" is. They could be an incredible asset to the North Bay if they work out some of these kinks, so I hope this helps and they are able to grow and get more and more cats and dogs eating raw. read more

My big hound dog has been on raw food since he was 8 1/2 weeks old, and he's 1 1/2 now, and it's been the best decision I've made for his health!
