After watching an episode of "Dogs 101" on Animal Planet, I decided I had to have a Norwich Terrier. Cute as hell, perfect size! BTW, I've wanted a dog for 27 years, so this was not an on a whim decision. Tried to look on Petfinder.com, Craig's List, shelters, Google search, no luck. My boyfriend managed to track down a reference for Sharon Curry who runs Bundocks. She answered our questions over the phone and suggested that we stop by to take a look at Bob, a 10 month old Norwich Terrier that had been passed through a few owners and was returned back to the kennel. Bundocks is located in Sebastopol, almost an hour and a half drive from Walnut Creek. It might be a little tricky to find the place. Once you walk in, you're greeted by Corgis, Daschunds, Norwiches, and some other breeds I wasn't familiar with. Sharon was very friendly. She introduced us to Bob and let us walk him around the property for a little bit. After asking Sharon a million questions and then being charmed by Bob's adorable ways, we decided that we wanted to take him home. She also said that if it doesn't work out, she would take him back and we could use the money toward another dog. But Bob is the most perfect dog I could ever ask for. If I were a bitch, he'd be my boyfriend but anyways... Overall, Sharon was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. She didn't pressure us into taking Bob home. He charmed us all on his own. We needed someone to take our cat while our house was tented. Sharon graciously took Shadow. The young women there seem to love animals.

Sharon is knows her dogs and takes great care of them. We adopted a three-year old dachshund. She was great with the dogs and with us.

Her dogs are fantastic. You see the Corgis and Mini Weenies through all generations with their families in Sonoma County. You definitely know when you see Boondocks breeding. We've had Sully for 7 years now ( our lovely mini weenie) and he's just the sweetest! Never one health problem and amazing temperament. I cannot say enough about Bunddocks ! Have known Sharon for over 30 years . She is caring , understanding, and goes the extra mile to help you and your dogs . I had my two dogs boarded at Bundocks for four months . Sharon worked with both of them on manners , leash training , Helped them wean from medications related to anxiety . She is just AMAZING!!!!! We have had three wonderful Cardigan corgi's from Bundocks. The owner of Bundocks, Sharon Curry, is very knowledgeable about dogs. I have had more expert advice from Sharon than from our vets who don't know our dogs as well as Sharon does. She has kept two of our corgis for long stays to recover quietly from injuries. I should have trusted my daughters instinct and not allowed our dog to stay there. She cried for him as we drove away. She said "mommy he is going to stay in this dirty little place?" I thought since so many dogs were there, it must be a good place. I was wrong. It was dirty and stinky and our dog came home sick and without his collar. I did think the owner was nice and knowledgeable but horrible experience. Do not take your dog here. I am sorry to say but this place needs to be shut down. Horrible. read more

Sharon is one of the finest. breeders I have ever met. My dog absolutely loves staying with her and makes new friends there all the time. Sharon gave me free training and is meticulous and friendly. Sharon is spectacular! We acquired our sweet Blue Merle Cardi (Corgi) from her many years ago, and will likely find her for our next pooch.

Sharon Curry is the owner who is extremely knowledgeable about caring and training dogs of all breeds. She runs a tight ship and her kennel is very clean and in good order. She has in the last 3 years taken care of our overflow of rescue dogs. She has been running the kennel for many years and has helped train and rehabilitate many of our damaged dogs who were sick or mistreated in shelters like San Bernardino and Bakersfield. Sharon and her staff have helped us find many homes for these dogs that would have been destroyed and long forgotten. We have many happy owners write and visit us to let us know how great their dogs have become. The kennel is in a very rural, beautiful and relaxed environment for the dogs. I see there are some complaints about visitors not being greeted nicely. The dogs do bark and recreate a hugh rukus which makes it 20 times harder for the caregivers and the dogs especially if you can imagine there can be 50 more more visits a day. The kennel is interested in the dog's best interest first so a quiet nice environment is the best for all. The proper procedure at this kennel is to call when you arrive at the parking lot and Sharron or the caregivers come up to greet you, pick or deliver your dog or escort you to the kennels so it does not disturb the entire population. It is a difficult place to find but well worth the drive as your dog will be in a safe, protected and cared place. read more

I trust her implicitly and her advice on both health and training is always 100% on the money. She truly cares and breeds beautiful and temperamentally sound pups. The people at Bundocks Kennels really care and are very knowledgeable about the animal guests they host. When our dog was going through the trauma of a move (been transported over 450 miles over two days) and began to act anti-social, they calmed her, cared for her and reassured her with love. Sharon and her staff show their commitment in their work every day, and their deep awareness of the relationship between a dog and the person who is their caretaker. I have taken my dogs to Bundocks for 10 years are more. In fact I got my corgi from Sharon. I have an Irish Terrier that Sharon has stripped and have also boarded my dogs here while on vacation. I can always rely on Sharon for helpful advise and great care for my dogs. read more

Sharon is THE local authority on Norwich and Norfolk Terriers. If you need yours stripped, go here. I drive 1.5 hours to get there, and it's worth it. And every now and again she has a beautiful dog looking for a home. As you will see when you visit, Sharon is all about dogs. read more

We boarded our dog at Bundocks because of the good reviews and it was close to home. Unfortunately, our experience was not a good one and we will not return. The owner, Sharon, is very nice and accommodating, but members of her staff were rude and exhibited unacceptable behavior. When I called to ask about the kennel the woman who answered the phone was rude and in a hurry to get off the phone. When we dropped our dog off in the morning about 8 am the women in charge was unhappy to see us because we set the dogs off barking. She screamed at the dogs and threw a plastic bucket at them. Then she snarled at us that people should not be allowed to bring their dogs so early. My husband was upset when he picked up the dog to see that she was in a very small space in the inside office with two other dogs. The worst part, however, was that our dog returned home sick. I took her to the vet who said that it was probably bordetella, kennel cough, although our dog had two bordetella shots within the past 6 months, one about 10 days before our trip. Apparently, dogs that are vaccinated can still become infected, but it would seem that this kennel might be harboring an especially virulent strain because our dog did not contract the disease at other kennels. read more

We've been using Bundocks for a few years now, and they deserve another good review. We have two, high energy, mischievous cattle dogs that we're often nervous about leaving home while we're on trips because of their propensity to break out. This kennel has been fantastic for us. The facility is set back in the hills in Green Valley on a large ranch. It appears haphazard at first glance, but it's very well managed and tended. They're very knowledgeable about our breeds and their tendencies. They even do boarding work for a few of the local rescue groups. They're very strict about kennel cough shots, which we appreciate. Their rates are extremely reasonable, especially if you have more than one dog from the same household. Our dogs always come home happy, and most importantly CLEAN. Which is often the only baths they get. I can't imagine a reason why we'd consider going to a different kennel. read more
