I adopted my first pit bull from Christine almost 2 years ago, Lucy. I've always been more of the lab type, but Lucy has me fully converted to the pit bull type. Christine rescued Lucy from the "free" section of Craigslist in the Central Valley. (You don't want to know what happens to free dogs in the Central Valley - and no, it's worse than you think). Best family dog ever. Tiny Pit Bull is great.

What a wonderful experience! Thank you Tiny Pitbull for our little Odin! Our foster to adopt was such a great way to learn about Odin and to see how he would fit in to our family! Which he did! We so appreciate being able to call, ask questions and sending us home with everything we need to start out, that made it so easy! We love you and him. Thank you for all that you do for our Community. We plan to make it to some of your events too!

    On his way home!

The Tiny Pitbull was awesome to work with in the adoption! Professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Can't thank them enough for bringing our new pup into our family. From the first meeting he was happy, healthy and well cared for. If/when we decide to adopt again, we will definitely be going through this fantastic rescue.

The Tiny Pitbull changed our lives forever in the most wonderful way. I know that sounds cheesy but it's true. The Tiny Pitbull was highly recommended to us by friends that are active in the world of helping and rescuing animals. Christine is amazingly knowledgeable and helpful and cares so much about the dogs. We eventually met Nacho thru her organization and he became part of our family. We were so impressed with her devotion, that our family eventually became involved with fostering dogs in need and waiting for their forever homes. The experience has been incredibly rewarding and Christine has been there every step of the way to guide us. We did accidentally fall in love with one of our foster dogs and he has now joined our family as well. Thank you Christine and all that support The Tiny Pitbull.

30+ fleas found on the 3 month old dog

GAVE ME A DOG WITH OVER 30 FLEAS! I met Christine when I was at a pet shelter in the North Bay, she was pulling dogs for her rescue and she gave me her card. I later found a dog on their Facebook page by the name of Jack that was adorable. I reached out through Facebook Messenger and I scheduled an appointment on a Friday to meet him the following Monday. When I arrived I shocked to see that the operation is ran through a filthy home but moved along because I was excited to meet Jack. Christine mentioned that he was afraid but would warm up. I told her I was going to take him to a groomer next and she said there was no point because he had been bathed and had flea medicine. The first night I took him home I found 30 fleas on the poor 3 month old puppy and was horrified. I reached out to Chrisitine and she completely down played the whole situation. The poor animal was terrified to leave its crate and urinated on himself. I reached out again and said I would return Jack the following morning and her response was "k". When I arrived to the home her reaction was " Where is he?" She purposely aggressively got the crate out of my car and scratched my door pannel. She then followed by yelling at me that I did not give the dog enough time and slammed the door in my face and later blocked me on social media so I could not comment. I reported the case to the Sonoma County Animal Services and nothing came from it. I met a woman at the dog park today that knows of The Tiny Pitbull and said that they are well known for not taking care of their animals and that they know the guy in charge of Animal Services...

This job is Ron Taylor's dream. He loves dogs and they love him. And, he loves being helpful…read more I'm a recent arrival to Spring Lake Village with 2 7-year old, fairly sedentary, adopted dogs who are glued to me with separation anxiety. I've gone through major adjustments. No more relaxing as the dogs roam in the back yard. I've felt myself in jail with 4 pleading eyes tracking my every move, as they can't go out unless I take them. I had lots of unfinished business in Marin after moving here, and couldn't leave the boys all day in the apartment. Plus, I'd imagined some pleasant day trips to enjoy Sonoma County, and since one dog isn't a happy traveler in the car, I just sometimes need a day off from them. I learned of Ron Taylor on Nextdoor for Blackhawk and lower Melita, near Rincon Valley. He picked them up at 8:30 and kept them in his facility either until I got them on the way back or he dropped them on his way home. His facility is in the industrial area behind auto row on Corby. It's a large warehouse setting with rubber floors, huge crates for time outs, an open door to a large concrete pad. No grass, but he has water pools, artificial turf, and walks the dogs 3 times a day while there. And, they all play with each other, getting exercise that way. It's like an indoor dog park. The little ones are separated in a different room. I'd looked into dog day care, and most seem to want to come to your home (not feasible in my location) and charge for various minutia. Ron has a per-day charge that's reasonable for seniors to bear. And if it's a partial day, he charges accordingly. He's exceedingly flexible, making last minute requests work, which many don't do. But most important is his heart and nature. The guy truly adores what he's doing and it shows. He takes videos of my dogs playing and I can tell he loves them. I trust them to his care and would recommend him to anyone who could use a little down time from your pooch. Give Ron a call. You won't be sorry.

When my partner and I brought home our Standard Schnauzer puppy, Baker, in 2022, we were excited to…read moretrain him to be our hiking and backpacking companion--but we quickly realized we were in over our heads. As first-time dog owners, we struggled with leash walking, recall, and general engagement (he was easily distracted and didn't seem motivated by us). We decided to seek professional help to build a stronger bond with him, instill good manners, and set us all up for success. We found Eleanor in May 2023; from the first session, her expertise and approach made a huge difference. She tailored the training to Baker's high-energy, intelligent personality (typical of a Schnauzer!) and our specific goals. Here's how she helped us tackle key challenges: Leash Walking: Baker used to pull constantly and didn't understand leash pressure. Eleanor taught us techniques to encourage loose-leash walking and helped him learn how to respond to leash cues. Now, he can walk calmly beside us when asked, even in distracting environments. Recall: Baker's off-leash reliability was nonexistent until Eleanor helped us prove his recall around distractions. Now, he checks in frequently during off-leash hikes and comes when called, even with other dogs nearby! Advanced Obedience & Off-Leash Skills: Beyond the basics, Eleanor helped us teach Baker fun and practical skills like "place" and heelwork, and she helped us achieve his Canine Good Citizen certification. It's amazing to see how much more confident and connected he is with us now. We still work with Eleanor as new challenges arise, and attending her group classes has become one of the highlights of my week! What makes Eleanor so effective is her clear communication, patience, and adaptable methods. She didn't just train Baker--she taught us how to understand and work with him. Her feedback is always constructive, and she celebrates our progress while helping us troubleshoot setbacks. The results speak for themselves: Baker is now a well-mannered, happy dog who loves training, and we feel equipped to handle new challenges as they come. We couldn't have done it without Eleanor's guidance--I highly recommend her to anyone, especially owners of clever, quirky, and spirited breeds like Schnauzers!

As the companion-owner of my 3rd Weimaraner, with over 28 years of experience with this breed, you…read moremight assume that I have seen and experienced much over that term, especially relative to thorough and lasting canine training on these semi-hard headed, smart and engaging sporting dogs. Well...it turns out our assumption(s) might be missing the mark. As my current Weimaraner pup came to me not long ago, she being the product of two of the top grand champions in the country, I knew that I needed to brush-up on my basic and intermediate obedience training and incorporate even better Best Practices than what I learned previously -- for all the beneficial reasons that you might imagine. Hence my dedicated and focused search for the best dog trainer I could find for my specific requirements; the location of the trainer nor their accompanying fees were not an issue in my search. Experience and skillfulness, temperament, purposefulness, pragmatism, clarity, results, integrity...all mattered more. Long story short, after much searching, effort, energy and many interviews, I found and landed on Eleanor Post to be the standout canine trainer, well above the rest of candidates, and, that decision has proven itself out over time. From moment "one", literally, it was quite evident to me (and my pup) that I was in superior hands. Eleanor immediately assessed my handling skills, and sized-up my pup, and confidently and with dedicated purpose and structure, started me on a specific, tailored, pragmatic and common-sensical approach and path, and, in doing so, reminded me of many of the prior techniques that did not merit fruit for me in the past. Eleanor incentivized and supported me on this path to, including and not limited to, examine how my own dog handling management, (ie. leash management; treating, body and attitude modeling expressions approaches, etc.) influenced and affected how my pup would behave in consistent ways - and, fabulously, she was able to illicit near immediate results with me and my pup through bonafide specific relevant and appropriate examples, all with a common-sensical, experiential, intuitive and clear and consistent and humane manner. Due to Eleanor's "training of me", and her steadfast, and unwavering commitment to targeting and promoting a fun and enjoyable, highly interesting and a range options and tips, techniques and real-life "let's do it" examples -- we made successful, wonderful, positive and upwards progress, with alacrity, that, candidly, I had never experienced before. I am here to say that I believe that, with Eleanor, I have experienced more awesome "a-ha's" in my sessions than in all the previous private and group training activities than I had experienced with other dog trainers - combined. I can testify and stipulate here and today, with utmost sincerity, that we (my pup and I) are the beneficiaries of Eleanor's wonderful, awesome regard, caring, sensitivity, direct, specific, clear, pragmatic, common-sensical, situation-specific, intuitive and forthright approach in instilling in us exactly what my initial objective was/is: Working to produce a well-mannered, well-adjusted, holistically sound, happy, vital and focused pup companion. This is a case study and example of how the energy and effort of Eleanor's vast depth of "dog whisperer" experience can assist to produce such satisfying, lasting and dramatic results that remarkably continue to exceed my expectations daily!
