I just had an unexpected surprise that I am grateful for financially, and because it was such a fine example of honesty and a sincere act of kindness. My Yukon was having issues with the 4 wheel drive from not engaging and making terrible noises to lights flashing. I dropped it off this morning expecting that there were serious problems that would be expensive. In fact I was trying to decide if it was time to sell my truck that I use a lot for work, and needs to be dependable. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told that they just reset a module and it is now shifting. I was first surprised that it was a minor fix but when I was not charged for their time, it really made my day. After dealing with someone earlier this week who I paid for contracting services which he did not complete and having to pay more to have the job completed; after a previous experience with another auto mechanic shop rated high on Yelp that charged additional for diagnostic time which was not necessary, because i told them at the beginning what was wrong and to replace the alternator when I brought it in, and after helping a lady find housing at 1/2 the going market rent and not requiring a deposit because I knew the landlord who did me a favor and then she trashed his property causing him additional expenses after she was extended assistance, I was convinced that most people only care about how much they can "take" and lack respect for their neighbors. Thanks Fed's for putting a smile on my face and being more than fair... read more

Don't go here unless you want your money taken from you. Told me my payment didn't go through, so I tried another way. That worked but so did the first payment. Wouldn't give me my money back and said it was an error with my bank. My bank said they shouldn't have charged the second time, it went through just fine. I am out an extra $110. Extremely disappointed, I've been coming here since I was a teenager. read more

I I was not happy with the workman ship and the customer service was terrible they left my car worse than how i took it in.

Worst place ever spent $600 on the clutch repair and end up with $3500 in damages due to the incompetence of these people they're not even certified to work on vehicles. It's pretty sad that majority of the people that go there for one simple thing end up paying twice is more for the damages that these morons don't know what they're doing, all they say to everybody who read says please stay away from this company and I mean that in the nicest way possible I guarantee you they will sit there and tell you the thing that you want to diagnosed is not it and I'll make you pay for more things so your vehicle really doesn't eat once again, I went for a clutch repair ended up with steering wheel problems. Power steering went out and they also cut my wheel sensor. Stay away from this place as much as possible. read more

Had an issue with my car late this afternoon and Fred's was the only place that answered my call. He took my car in and fixed the issue before closing time (I got It minutes before they closed). He was so kind and even told me additional work was optional... he has a new customer for sure! read more

We were charged $1,100.00 for work that was never done. The passenger wheel rim was also bent upon retrieving a barely running vehicle although he kept it for weeks while we took Uber, taxis and the bus. After taking it to another mechanic we were informed that he didn't replace nor fix the items from our receipt. He rarely answers the phone and kept coming up with more things to repair and a need for more $. See you in court Federico as that's our next step. read more

I am a long customer at this place. They have always been honest and priced below the rest. I referred everyone to this shop. Recently I had to tow my car that wouldn't start in. That was on Wednesday. Friday i called and was told they hadn't looked at it but would Monday. I called Monday and they said Wednesday. I have had no call all day today and no answer at their shop. I understand being busy but it is unprofessional and dishonest to keep saying they are going to work on it and it is still sitting there. I am stuck because it won't start. Every day that goes by I have to shell out more money on a rental so I can get to work. Next time i will more than likely take it somewhere a little more pricey in order to have my car back when they say. read more

I love this place. Honest no nonsense advice and quality work. Feels good to find a place that truly gives good sound honest service to customers. I will continue to come back for all my car needs and recommend to anyone that asks about reliable mechanics. Thank you Fed's!!! read more

I was recommended to Feds by a coworker and it's probably the best thing that I've ever gotten from a coworker! Fed is a great, honest guy and I will never take my vehicle anywhere else. I have had the vehicle serviced 3 or 4 times for random things and the price is always fair, work is great, and overall the transaction is easy and effortless. This place is a good ole down home auto shop, no frills, but great people and work. read more

Don't let this place fool you. They may seem like a small, know nothing shop, but they are so much more. Honesty, integrity and respect are clearly an important part of their motto. Sure I didn't get a complimentary cup of coffee when I went in to drop off my vehicle, but I did get a straight forward price and explanation of that was going on. In and out in 1 day and under $500. This shop deserves every 5 star review it has! read more

Got my car fixed at Fed's. Fed is the man! Other mechanics had told me to take the car to the dealer for repairs because they preferred not to work on my make and model. The dealer would have been outrageously expensive and no more competent than an independent repair shop. Fed took care of me. He fixed the car in 24 hours, at a fair price. Car runs great now! He told me to come back whenever I have trouble with car. I am a won-over, loyal customer now! Yay! read more

Fed's is great (and I rarely say that about a mechanic shop). Fed's is an honest, and yes I said honest, mechanic shop. They are fair with prices, fair with how long it takes to fix whatever needs fixing, and is fair with charging you for the price of the parts and work time. I'll definitely bring my car back and refer friends to this local mechanics shop. Thank you my car runs like new! read more

I took my jeep to Feds because it was close to my house. They did a good job replacing my thermostat and fixing a tail light. I had the jeep back fast and it was cheaper then I expected. I will use these guys again. read more

I got referred to Fed's by a co-worker. I had gotten a quote from a few other shops saying my repair was going to be at least $600. Fed quoted me about $300. I had my car taken to his shop and the next day he called me and took the time to explain what the problem with my car was and what he could do to repair it. He kept his word on the quote as well. Thank you Fed! You will have my business from now on. Nothing better than finding an HONEST mechanic these days. read more

Hands down best automotive shop I have ever done business with. Ran a diagnostic, let me bring in own parts, and they did the rest for labor only! They also kept their word on initial pricing even tho extra work was required. I was able to drop my car off and have it repaired same day. Highly recommend!! Will go out of my way to have them work on my car again. read more

Trust is one of the greatest qualities of a good mechanic and you can trust Fed's. They don't necessarily excel at customer service or administration, but given the choice between those and trust I'll take the latter. read more

Best prices, best service, and they get the job done as fast as they can. I'll definitely use Fed's for all my other car needs.

If you need a quick fix at a reasonable price Fed's is the place to go! The staff is very friendly, quick, and efficient. The owner Fedrico is awesome, he is a honest guy. I had a car a while back and it kept making a funny noise and i figured it was nothing to serious but took it down to Fed's anyway, he told me straight up "Your transmission is blown, you keep driving that you're going to be stuck somewhere" lol. But i would highly recommend this automotive shop to anyone in need of a good fixin. read more

Brought in my own brake pads, rotors, and battery. They charged labor only on all 3 for about $80. Probably saved me $300+ compared to what other places would have quoted for parts and labor. If you don't mind buying your own parts Fed's is the place to go! read more

Awesome mechanic and body work shop. My Jeep Grand Cherokee was side swiped by an ambulance. He was able to repair the entire right side as well as complete suspension overhaul for $2000 below other shops. He finishes on time and his estimate is his word. My regular mechanic for now on. Car looks and runs like its new. read more

I've had work done here twice. Both times I got an honest diagnosis and a very reasonable quote. Both times work was done well and quickly. Doesn't charge for services you don't need. Definitely will recommend. read more

I just love Fed. He is a super honest guy and knows his stuff. I noticed he didn't have a yelp page so I made one for him. When my brakes were bad, I went to a just brakes to see if I could get a deal since they specialize in them. However, they told me it would be almost $900 to fix! I almost had a nervous break down! I went to Fed's to get a second opinion and he was able to fix them for $190. That's a big difference. This time around my cars starter broke. I had to tow it to them. Thankfully my insurance covers that . I had called a place that had good reviews that was closer to my house. They said $250. I go to Fed and he beats the competition again with 150! I will forever be a customer to Fed. He has treated me so well. And by the way, the phone number is incorrect for the time being. I tried to change it but yelp wouldn't let me so here is the actual number to call until everything gets sorted out: (720) 323-6809 read more

Incredible. Car broke down a few miles down from the shop, i brought it in around noon and they had it it fixed by five and gave me a great price. read more

I recently took my 1997 Ford Ranger to Fed's Automotive to have a new A/C compressor installed as my current one after 20 years called it a day. Federico gave me a quick estimate and was able to do the work the next day. The price was easily 50% less than what a dealer would have charged. It is great to find a independent repair shop that is honest, does quality work and charges fair prices. I will continue to bring my vehicles into Fed's Automotive. read more

I was so disappointed, I was referred by a friends to bring my Jeep to Feds and when I got my jeep back three of my ties were on a flat and they ran our my gas. I have no intuition of giving them my bizz. read more

Late one Friday afternoon, on my way home from work, my ball joint broke, and my wheel fell right off my truck. Two young kids stopped and recommended Fed's wich was 2 blocks away. I called and they stayed open an extra half an hour for me while I was waiting for a tow. They called me Saturday afternoon and told me my truck was done. I was suppressed that it was such a quick turn around with it being a busy shop and all. An even better surprise was when I got the bill and it was 100$ less than I expected it to be. Fed's is the first place I've Actualy trusted in Denver, I think I'll be going there from now on. read more

Years ago (before I was on Yelp) I took my car to Fed's and it was a good experience. I saved his card. The other day when I had another car issue I pulled out his card and called. He took my car, fixed the issue, and charged me honestly. I was happy to pay. I found out about Fed's through word of mouth and that is the best kind of recommendation. read more

Honest and Fair my ASS. I found FED"s on yelp and because of the reviews I decided to do business with the supposed "fair guys" at FED's/ I had a water pump and timing belt replaced and installed. Not an inexpensive repair, but I was quoted a fair price. When they were finished with my repairs, I went to fetch my car only to be charged $100+ above quoted price, but still fair. Until the parts repaired fell apart!!! The timing belt fell off due to a tension nut not being properly screwed in. When I reached out to FED'S, before I could even relay my problem or even my name, he began stressing the fact that I was outside of the warranty. I looked at my receipt I was 11 days outside the warranty.. 11 DAYS!! It was almost like he knew his work wouldn't hold up. The heaviest part of my invoice was the labor...that fell apart 40 days later. I was told my engine needed to be removed to fix the part hence the heavy labor fees...found out that was a lie from the mechanic who diagnosed my new issue which is the old issue I PAID TO HAVE FIXED. They never moved my engine and that's probably why its falling apart. I call no one answers and there's no way to leave a voicemail. If you're going to do something, do it right and stand by your work. PEOPLE GO AT YOUR OWN RISK BECAUSE YOU"LL GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR AND FAIR ISN'T ALWAYS FAIR. I'd give no stars if I could. And yes I created this account just to be a warning to not fall for the okidok! read more
