Fedex was supposed to deliver a laptop computer on Wednesday 3/20. They did not deliver it. Instead, the driver delivered it to another address a mile away to a person with a different name on Saturday morning, 3/23. We called them immediately, and Fedex acknowledged that it was delivered to the wrong person. They claimed that the delivery address was changed, however they didn't check the name of the signature either. Knowing that they made a "mistake", we asked that they immediately retrieve the package that day. It's now the evening of Tuesday 3/26, and it still hasn't been confirmed that they retrieved the package. I don't believe this was a mistake. I believe that at least one person at Fedex has stolen it. I asked the local Maspeth office to call me with an explanation and they still haven't returned my calls. Review on call center and delivery guys. Oh fed ex. I was surprised to see a notice stating I missed a delivery attempt. Ordered and paid for next day delivery and missed the 1st attempt. Not familiar with FedEx since I'm all about the men in brown (UPS) I called the 800# for an update. A sweet rep in AZ said she would do her best to get a redelivery attempt today and I should be contacted by the Maspeth location manager within 2 hours. 3 hours later I'm on the phone- going in circles because no one understood I was trying to reach the main hub, in Maspeth. I went outside, by chance and saw a fed ex truck. Ran, well hopping quickly ( foot injury) I stopped him and asked if he had my package. His response could have went so many ways- he smiled, cheesing ear to ear. Guess me being in scrubs kept the response professional. He wasn't my delivery guy- but jumped on his radio and a few short seconds later, another FedEx truck. Second truck driver said he has my package and was on his way to my apt. Sweeeet! Showed my.... ID...and got my package and his number! What?! Happy with the actual drivers who are more helpful than those answering phones at call centers. And you'll never get the 718# for the Maspeth location. I'll try to be as diplomatic as I can be: FedEx in Queens sucks! I have never been so dissatisfied with a business establishment as I have been with FedEx. On numerous occasions, I have spent entire days at home waiting for packages, only to come downstairs and see a missed delivery slip on the front door of my apartment building. Do you people even try? I seriously question whether the FedEx delivery folks ring the doorbell and transport the packages as they are supposed to do. Or do they just automatically put the slip on your door and force you to pick-up the package up in the inconvenient location that is Maspeth. "Aw man," I always cry to myself when I see the missed delivery slip on my door telling my where my pickup location is. "Not Maspeth!" Maspeth is not subway accessible. Maspeth is not road accessible. Maspeth is not pedestrian accessible. Maspeth is not bike accessible. How does one get there? The few times that I have gone (via ZipCar), I have showed up to a room full of angry Queens residents, queueing in front a desk with no agent. Where did the agent go? Oh right, s/he disappeared to hide from the angry mob. Happens all the time! Budget 1 hour at least to get a simple package. My advice to you: if a shipper ships via FedEx, call your sender to change the the address (which by the way is going to be impossible if the shipped item is a mobile phone or some sort of electronic product) or call FedEx and tell them to log it as "refused shipment" and get a refund. I live in an apartment that abuts the main building, and doesn't have a bell or marked door. I have a mailbox in the main building, but for things like food delivery, I need to have the delivery person call me and I have to go outside. Fedex, 99% of the time, has their collective mind blown by this, and I have to journey into Mordor to get my packages. However: if you coordinate with your shipper, I find it's workable. In the past, I successfully had furniture shipped to me. Today, I successfully received a bike. Here's how I did it. First, I purchased through Amazon. I enabled their tracking to text me. The morning Amazon texted me my package was in Woodside, I left a nice note for FedEx on the buzzers, saying please leave my package, I know it's in today and Amazon will text me when it gets here. Then, mid afternoon, I checked FedEx's tracking info to keep tabs on the delivery. FIRST CHANCE: Ordered a nail polish haul from an e-tailer without knowing that they require a signature upon delivery. Everyone knows about Fedex's garbage "three chance" system. Lo and behold 2/3 chances the idiot never buzzed my door and just left me a stupid door tag. They deliver sooo early so I was awake waiting all morning, both times. Ever since I moved to the 11211 zip code, 3 years ago, it has been nearly impossible for me to receive any deliveries from Fed Ex - they are all tracked from this shipment center, which is rampant with incompetent lazy employees who clearly don't care about their customer's needs. I do not have a door man, most people in Williamsburg do not. Why is it so hard to get a package?! I give the center large time frames of my availability for delivery, for instance yesterday between 5pm - 9pm. So when do they attempt delivery? 2pm. Stay away from receiving packages from FedEx in this area(williamsburg, greenpoint, etc. etc) Most of them are lazy and incompetent. They will not bother to ring your doorbell and will leave your package to be stolen. Don't even bother showing up at their facility. It's a hidden fortress, and the people inside are just 'par-tying' I understand the standards are really low in this neighborhood. UPS isn't much better, but still better than Fedex. Don't think DHL ships here. and of course USPS, is very comparable in this area. They also confused my apartment letter L with the letter M. If there was only a way I could do this review and put ZERO stars. This is the worst FedEx in ALL OF AMERICA! The drivers don't even knock on your door. They just get out and put a doortag on the door and get back in their trucks and drive off. They know their service is bad too, because they made sure to not let the telephone number to the facility get anywhere. This morning I look out my window and see the FedEx truck. Assuming, he is on his way to my door, but instead he was already back in the truck and proceeded to drive off. Happens to me almost every time. Happened to me today, but this time, I bugged the CRAP out of the FedEx customer service line to make SURE that my package would be delivered today. Every representative I spoke to PROMISED that I would get my package delivered today. Can you guess what happened ? Right ! No package. Not even a delivery attempt notice on my door .. Just the good old "delivery exception" notice on the FedEx online tracking system. Its funny because I saw the FedEx truck in my development at 6pm (looking out of my window). At 6:30 , the truck was gone. About 15min later (6:45pm), I called FedEx customer service for the 10th time and explained this to them. They assured me that my package was going to be delivered by 9pm. After I hang up the phone with them, I check the online tracking and BAM ! "Delivery attempt at 6:19pm". Wow. Just let that sink in. I have even had a HORRIBLE encounter with the "station manager" one of the previous times that this has happened to me. She was extremely rude and was even CURSING at me ! Cursing !! Andmay I add that I was talking to her in a very calm and respectful manner , but the conversation quickly escalated by her insist. Crazy. I really dont even get why FedEx is even still operating. Customer Service is POOR & they fail to deliver service that we as customers are PAYING for. What kind of job requirements and job interviews do these employees have to go through for you guys to keep hiring shitty people all over the nation ? I live by the UPS online account services, through which one can easily and reliably track and customize deliveries. When Fedex launched these services as well, I was thrilled. Unfortunately, none of them actually work, and this particular facility is the bane of my existence. As has happened in the past with USPS, you can count on FedEx to not ring your doorbell and claim that they attempted delivery. You can also count on them to allow you to authorize release without signature on their website, but the drivers won't actually do this. So, now my package is being held hostage until imminent return to sender. I routinely do not receive my deliveries as my Fed Ex route person does not ring my door bell. I've had birthday flowers not show up for days, and now - I've been waiting for my work computer since 12/16, and seeing a door tag when I've been home all day for the express purpose of receiving said package is beyond frustrating. Today has pushed me beyond this as I made it a point to post a sign on my front door asking for Fed Ex to ring my bell. I saw a truck pull up, park for a few minutes, then drive away. No one got out of the truck. I then saw my package information get updated as to "no one was home" when no one attempted to deliver the package in question. I did not receive a door tag today as no one got OUT of the truck. I called in a complaint and hopefully they will attempt to deliver this package again today - so I will continue to wait by my front door, hoping that they will in fact 1) get out of the truck, 2) have my package in hand, and 3) ring my door bell. And another point of contention: In the past, when I've shown up to a FedEx Office location to pick up my packages (when I had to get it routed there as again, no one would ring my bell), I've had to fight to receive my packages (even though my name and address on my driver's license matches the recipient's information on the package) as I had forgotten to bring the door tag and I was never provided with a tracking number from the party sending me the package. The people at the facility said that it was a "Company Policy" to NOT give out packages without a door tag EVEN IF someone's ID matches the name AND address of where the package was meant for. Honestly, I would just love to receive my packages. My UPS guy can get me my packages on time, I don't understand why Fed Ex can't do the same. I've also waited over two hours in line at this Fed Ex facility to pick up packages as well. You know, FedEx, I try to be a kind and patient person. I can understand shipment delays, truck issues and adverse weather conditions. What I cannot deal with, however, is blatant lying. I might not care if you take an extra day to deliver my stuff,, but I do care if you insult my intelligence in the process. I bought something online and paid extra to have it delivered on Thursday. I live in a clearly marked building with my name on the (very reliable!) buzzer. I was home all day with my husband and my alert, barky dog who has a fit if someone LOOKS at my front door. If only there were an option for negative stars... So, the tracking history for my package says Fedex attempted to deliver my package two times but no one was home to sign for it. There are many things wrong with this claim because I was home during both attempts: 1. Tracking states the location of the two attempts were made to Maspeth, NY, when the delivery address was in Brooklyn, NY. So was delivery ever actually attempted? If the attempts did actually happen (highly doubtful), the delivery guy did not enter in the location info correctly. 2. I never got any door tags showing delivery attempts. 3. I called Customer Support about this package two times. No useful info gained from these calls. I asked them to tell me how in the world they tried to deliver these packages when they were still in Maspeth... The reps offered no explanation for points #1 and #2. 4. Rather than picking up the package at Maspeth, the alternate solution offered by FedEx Customer Service representatives was to deliver it to other delivery locations in the vicinity of the Maspeth location. No other pick up locations were available. This offers no convenience to customers. 5. Although FedEx said the package will be delivered again next business day, I do not trust that they will actually deliver it because of the first two false attempts. This service is extremely deplorable. This is the third time this year I have had to go out of my way to pick up packages at Maspeth, NY. How is this even a delivery service company when I've had pick up packages from them myself? Can FedEx do its only job correctly? I'm in zip code 11366 and this is a review re:my many attempts to return a cable box to Spectrum using the FedEx Ground label Spectrum sent to me. I first scheduled the pickup for 8/12. Package sat at front door and was never picked up. Called again on 8/13 and rescheduled for 8/14...never picked up. Called to reschedule pickup for Monday, 8/17. I saw a FedEx Ground driver in our complex and asked him if he would take the package. His simple response was "no". Package never picked up. When I called to reschedule, the customer representative put me on hold for 33 minutes and never came back. At the same time, I used another phone to call and was told that the driver "tried" to pickup on 8/17, but didn't have an apartment number. Of course, at the beginning of the conversation, the CSR repeated my address WITH the apartment number, so not sure what that lie was all about. The pickup was rescheduled to today, 8/18.Still waiting! Are FedEx drivers lying about picking up shipments? Second Review re: FedEx Express envelope. This is a review re: a FedEx express envelope pickup. This envelope contains time-sensitive legal documents that HAVE to be in an out-of-state attorney's office by Thursday. At 1:17pm on Monday, 8/17 I scheduled my pickup and payment through my FedEx online account for same day pickup on 8/17 between 1:30pm and 9:00pm. I placed the envelope outside the door (next to the Ground package described in my review below). At 10pm I brought the envelope inside because I didn't want it to remain outdoors overnight. Called FedEx this morning (8/18) to let them know that it wasn't picked up and I need to reschedule the pickup. They 'attempted' delivery at my home while I was there, but didn't ring the doorbell or knock. Decided I no longer live there for some reason and brought the package back to their location. I called at least 5 times trying to get them to redeliver or reroute to my work, which they would promise they would do, but then would fail to do so, either bringing it to my home while I was at work, or not bringing it to my home while I was waiting at home all day. I finally gave up and went to the location in Maspeth, which isn't necessarily a convenient location, and waited for 20-30 minutes to get my package, which they told me they couldn't locate, asking me to wait another hour possibly til the evening crew came in. I left because I had a bus to catch. I still haven't received my package. Okay so don't expect a friendly tone, a smile or any pleasantries. I basically make a living off of small talk and these people ain't talkin. The good news is that they aren't quick on sending out packages even when the tracking says they have scanned your package in order to return to sender. We around noon, on a Wednesday, and our to be returned packages were still there. With a little coaxing the guy behind the counter begrudgingly searched for our packages and found them. You have to have your door tag or tracking number and be the person listed on the package (spouses running errands beware) cause they're stricter then a federal building. There is no real public transportation so we Ivette's it and the driver sat outside for us. Luckily were didn't have to wait too long but it wasn't quick either. Good luck! read more

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. The manager is incredibly rude and unhelpful. When I told her my ID didn't match the package because it was a work address she laughed at me and said "well that's gonna be a problem".
