It wasn't crowded so it should have been easy to get everything dropped off without waiting in line holding packages. FedEx Ground shipments dropped off here are super unreliable which makes no sense when they have a whole FedEx Ground truck that sits in the warehouse to load shipments into. Even when you drop off well before the 5:00 deadline, they often get held an extra day which screws up delivery commitments and makes everyone look bad. For example, out of 6 shipments dropped off on Friday, only 3 have been scanned as making it out of here and in transit from the FedEx Ground hub. The others just say "In FedEx possession" Now, instead of a shipment getting delivered over the weekend or on Monday, things won't get delivered until the middle of next week. I've had much better luck dropping off ground parcels at FedEx Offices. read more

This is the first time I've ever left a review. My urgent medication package was already at this facility, but I was told I would have to wait two more days to pick it up--even though I was already out of the medication and leaving town soon. When I politely asked if it was possible to retrieve the package since it was already there, one staff member responded by telling me, "maybe you should plan it out better when your medication runs out and when you leave," as if people always have control over life circumstances. In my case, I was leaving for a family emergency. Twice in one day, I faced hostility from this same employee who seemed to relish making things difficult. At one point she made a point of telling me that "six people" had to help locate my package, as if I should feel selfish for asking employees to do their job--while she sat there doing nothing but preparing to humiliate me for it. I understand bad days, but consistently being rude and obstructive shows a pattern. I can't even tell you her name--she refused to give me a receipt and said, "Nope, you have your package now!" FedEx, when your front-line employee drives customers away--especially when someone is simply trying to retrieve important medication that's already at your facility--that's a serious problem. Kindness is free, and she's the face you don't need representing your company. read more

My fiancé was returning his internet service, which FedEx is supposed to accept and pack themselves, but when he brought it, the staff told him to buy a box and pack it himself. He then bought a box, drove home in the pouring rain, and checked out another FedEx to see if they would say the same thing, but no, they fully accepted it exactly as it was and packed it. Fed ex is an irresponsible company that does t care about its customers. They lost my tax documents at their Tennessee facility for over a month. They could care less that this is very sensitive information about myself and my husband. I've had to freeze all of my credit, etc so that someone in their facility cannot take my identity. Driver noted no one was home to accept package, only we had a full house and no one even tried. We have cameras that alert us if anyone parks in front of the house or walks up to the door, there was no attempt at all. Got a message on the site saying we could pick up after 6 PM, got here at 6:05 PM and the driver wasn't back yet. It's 6:36 PM now and we're still waiting. Bad driver overall and horrible communications. Why say 6 PM if the driver isn't going to show up and you have no way to contact to confirm. Taking time out of our day to pick up this package for a lazy driver who didn't attempt a drop off and can't even rely on the message for the tracking. This is not what I think of when people say FedEx. Horrible service! Update - After waiting for 30 minutes in the car, we went back in and waited 20 minutes while they went in the back to look for the package. After 20 minutes, they told us it would be another 15 minutes and asked us to wait in the car and they would call us. So here we are, over an hour later waiting for a package they never attempted to deliver. And the lady had the nerve to give us an attitude as she asked us to wait outside. I understand customer service is a tough job, but giving attitude to customers who are being patient is not how we expect to be treated from a business as big as FedEx. This is a Fed Ex shipping location (NOT a Fed Ex Kindos). They only sell the list basic Fed Ex boxes here. Basically I use it to drop off packages I already have a label for when I want a receipt. There's plenty of parking and I never have to wait all that long. Also since this is a shipping center (stake the second entrance = the first is for Fed Ex employees & big trucks) I feel like my packages get sent out faster. read more

These lazy drivers add "operational delay" and mark your package as "incorrect address" when they don't want to deliver the package 15 miles away. I purchased with Overnight Delivery from Bestbuy and this driver tried to claim my address was incorrect. A package requiring signature was picked up by FedEx & then taken to their Irvine facility on 10/14/22. (Keep in mind that I live 8 miles away from Irvine.) At this point, FedEx shipped my package to Los Angeles, about 50 miles away. Then, the package was shipped to Oakland (415 miles from Irvine) before being shipped back to Irvine. (LMFAO) I waited all day 10/17/22 for the delivery, only to find an attempted delivery sticker on my front door. I was sitting 12 feet from my front door most of the day. Why wouldn't they ring the door bell? Too little effort on the part of the driver. I am STILL waiting for my package. I am writing this review because this is a typical experience I get from FedEx. He just stood there and look at you while there are 10 people in line. He also helped a hot girl who just walked in instead of all the people waiting in line. Although the address isn't reflective of the entrance where customers are supposed to go to -- the real entrance is off Fed Ex Way -- the signs are pretty self explanatory should you get lost. The location is pretty small but when I was there pretty early in the morning it was quiet and service fast. It's Christmas time and I'm sure these FedEx people expect to speak with some very disgruntled customers. Unfortunately, the 800# at FedEx put me in touch with a young Italian-sounding gentleman who gave me a myriad of reasons why my package was not in my hands as it should be. (Turns out he didn't know and was just making crap up.) To top it off, his extremely thick Italian accent was very hard for me to understand, especially when he got the blood pounding in my ears from rage. However, he did me one favor by calling the local FedEx office to ask them to hold my packages there. Thank goodness Jim from FedEx Irvine had the brains to call me directly to confirm my request. Turns out stupid Mr. Italiano only asked for them to hold 1 of my 3 packages. Not only did Jim manage to get a hold of me at work but he also went through our after-hours directory to get a hold of me. He gave me the straight scoop and arrange to have all three of my packages held for me the next day. Cut to Christmas Eve, I'm standing in the Irvine FedEx office to pick up my packages. For whatever reason, one of my 3 packages had not yet been sorted. The young man helping me, Oscar, offered to go and look through the pile for me which completely took me by surprise. He was not only friendly but also willing to help. He wasn't optimistic but he credited my description of the package for helping his search tremendously. He came back shortly after he left the room to get his jacket because he said it was "cold out there". I was extremely grateful for his helpfulness. A lot of couriers often come here to drop off FedEx packages here, the majority of them doing just that: dropping them off with no interaction with the staff. The staff here is helpful, although too helpful in some cases. I am often given specific instructions since I am a low-ranking employee at the office. After relaying what my superiors have told me to do, they sometimes suggest a less expensive alternative, which forces me to insist that they do it the way I have been instructed to. They also become less friendly if I say something awkward or that indicates I am just following orders but don't display open hostility. It especially occurs when performing a drop ship at the location for a different customer, so it would be better to print out one's labels instead of having them process it there. This location has sent out packages on time and has not lost any packages so far. Coming here to drop off packages will make the packages ship and arrive as specified. However, when receiving packages, they do it by the book and won't hand packages over if it's addressed to the company, so it would be better not to come here and wait for them to redeliver if one received "We missed you" slip. read more
