The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - Irvine, California

In May 2025, I trusted this UPS Store to pack and ship a $5,000 custom-built PC and a 49" OLED monitor. Their staff specifically advised me not to pack the items myself, claiming they offered "professional packaging" with custom crates and full responsibility if anything happened. The shipment arrived severely damaged. The GPU was bent beyond repair, the water cooling loop destroyed, the monitor completely ruined. The store's representative (I remember his name as Freddy) called me personally, acknowledged the damage, and clearly promised full reimbursement. I relied on that promise in good faith and paused any legal action. UPS corporate later reimbursed me $2,267.08 -- far below the cost to replace what was destroyed. When I returned to the store, I was told it was no longer their problem, despite: Their packing failure Failure to provide the "signature required" delivery I paid for Their own verbal commitment to cover damages The store now claims their employee "misspoke" and wasn't authorized to make that promise. They've offered only a refund for shipping and handling, while refusing to take responsibility for the rest. I've since filed a complaint with the BBB, the FTC, and have initiated a California small claims lawsuit for full restitution. It didn't have to be this way. I was patient and gave the store weeks to do the right thing. They chose not to. I'm documenting the entire situation publicly so others don't suffer the same treatment. read more

My package was delivered to this store, I called twice and they said they didn't have it. I called the UPS 800 number and they told me the package was at this store. I went to this store and was helped by the black girl. She said they did not have it. I told her what the 800 UPS customer service told me, she said nothing and would not look for it. Rudest staff I've ever encountered. I called before going to see if their notary was in, and I was told they'll be there until 5:30pm. I'm getting divorced and need my portion of my paperwork notarized and signed, so safe to say it's been quite the day. I arrived at 5:15-5:20. I walked in and the larger employee bluntly told me their notary left at 5:00. I told him I just called a few minutes ago and was told they'd be there until 5:30, and he rolled his eyes like he was caught in a lie because no one in this location seems like they want to work nor appreciates having a job. The other employee working (troll looking dude named Aubry) was even ruder to me and gave terrible attitude while assisting me. He kept rushing me and talked to me like I was an idiot for not immediately knowing which forms needed notarizing. Sorry, never been divorced before, call me an amateur. I even mentioned that I need divorce papers notarized, hoping it would change his tone to not be such a condescending little prick; but he's clearly too wrapped up in his bad mood to provide quality customer service. I don't use UPS stores often, and thank god for that. Never coming to this one again. I should've gone anywhere else. I know plenty of people looking for work and would be happy to take both employees' positions at this location. I'm a small business owner and I strive to always be polite to employees who are working because I want to be treated the same way. I paid $70 to ship an urgent document to Beijing, China on 12/06/2019. It was expected to arrive 12/10/2019. But it was late. I went to the store on 12/13/2019 to see what happened. The staff told me they will call manager to refund me. No reply since then. Eventually my package arrived on 12/19/2019, which is 9 days late. Ironically, the UPS could not finish the job so they paid another local express company to deliver the package. It is so late I missed the deadline. I went to the store on 12/26/2019 to seek refund. The staff said they can't help me but have to call a 800 number. I did 12/27/2019 but the representative said I have to go to store. Haha, very typical, right? I called the store again. Same staff was speaking very tough. He first said again I had to call 800 number. Then He said no refund because the delay is because of severe weather. Which is a lie. Because i found out it is delayed because there is a strike of workers. The strike started in 12/05/2019, ONE day before the store accepted my package. They should have advised me that, right? The UPS or their partner is terrible. This store is even worse. Both of them are rude and tough, I don't think I can get my deserved refund.
