I had to drop off a package to this location. Seems to be the closest location to Moody, Alabama. The GPS directions were great, it took me directly to this location. They had plenty of parking and a clean lot. When I entered the building, no one was there to greet me. After like 1-2 minutes I was greeted by a rep coming from the back. I didn't mind the silent wait time because she was nice. She asked if I needed a receipt for my package and provided it to me. She told me to come back to see her. Itel (I hope I spelled her name right) was super nice and is a great example of what great customer service should be. read more

If I could give them No star I would. Driver delivered my package to the totally wrong address, although the correct address was on the package. I have been waiting for a phone call for days! I spoke to Samantha once and never heard from her again. I call every single day and they say they are investigating and I will receive a call back. I had a package being delivered to my home and needed to be present to sign for the package. I work from home so that was no big deal. The delivery driver then proceed to run to my door with a tag stating I wasn't home and that I would have to drive 45min-1hr away to get my package. He DID NOT even knock on my door. I saw him do this and I ran to the door to stop him from leaving but as soon as I opened the door he jumped into his truck and sped off as quick as he could. Today I received my text stating that my order delivery window was 850am- 12pm and I began tracking, via the link from the text it went from Irondale, Alabama in transit to delayed then marked attempted and no one was home. I work from home and sit less than 20 feet from the door they needed to knock on if they had come to the address at all, no door tag was left, fed ex has been the most incompetent, irresponsible, delivery service I have ever witnessed or come in contact with in my life! This company is really terrible with help. And also have delivery driver who will steal your packages. Just last year I was waiting on a delivery that never came. So I went to the company to find out that the delivery drive had stolen my package along with all the packages on his truck. And quit his job. Now I am experiencing the same exact situation. I'm with one of the previous comments. I bought something through Amazon and if I could of picked UPS, I would of. Trying to use the Fedex app is a nightmare. I was told my package was coming today... on the app and also when I called. Now they are telling me it was ready for pickup. How? I never said a word until 10 minutes ago about picking it up. I don't know who's worse, DirectTV or Fedex. Heck, the U.S. post office is easier to deal with that Fedex. Now that's bad, a government agency is ran better than a private company. I orderd an item it got to my town and then it said fails to deliver on November 16 then it say estimated delivery November 23 i called an employe and asked him why it going to take a week for it to arrive he told me you can pick it up at the FedEx center which was an hour away I drove there and they said it is not here. What a bunch f-tards! From now on, I'll be sure to ship via UPS (I pay more but never had an issue). I used to be a loyal FedEx guy, even when you make a mistake with delivery, I can live with that. When you LIE (euphemistically referred to as "misinformed") to me, I am done with you. Never will I spend a dime of my money nor my company's money on FedEx. This package was extremely time critical, so much so that I had to drive an hour to the station to pick it up as well as miss my morning flight. Do they compensate me in any way for their screw up? Nope! The package in question would have been delivered on time had the driver delivered it to the correct address. When s/he didn't, they went back to "pick it up" instead of telling me where it was. Well, now no one can find it. Tracking # still has it as being "delivered". horrible location. zero signage indicating customer entrance, when you do find the walkin gate the callbox is broken. walk over to the security building and you're likely to find staff who look at you like you're from outer space for wanting to ship a package. then expect 10-15 minutes of calls and radio conversation while they try to figure out what to do about a customer wishing to dropoff a pre-labelled fedex ground package. also, hope you don't want any receipt ir oroof of the dropoff, because they claim not to do that. Paid for overnight delivery and needed the package by 10:30 AM on 02/24/2015, which was promised. Instead I get trucks that dont like to drive in the rain. The rain started around 1:30 in the afternoon but the trucks where not running. Then, I get called at 3:30 and told I can go pick up my package but need to hurry because they were closing at 4:00. I am staying in a hotel in downtown Birmingham, there was no way that was possible. 02/25/2015, I wake up thinking the package would arrive by 10:30, once again I was let down. I drove to the FedEx on S 20th in Birmingham and they told me it was scheduled for pickup at the Irondale location. These guys were very rude and basically brushed me off. So I drove to the Irondale location. I waited for 20 minutes so that they could tell me that my package had just left the shipping center to be delivered. I waited another 20 minutes to see if the driver would turn around and come back. Finally I left and now am waiting on a package that I paid alot of money to be overnighted to me. I told the lady that Oklahoma had a real ice storm and real snow and they were able to meet their deadline. She replied, " Well this is Birmingham".
