I saw a lot of cute stuff. Prices varied. I am a sucker for a koozie and a coffee mug! Sooooo of course, I had to have the Birmingham koozie and coffee mug! Felt like a true tourist in my own city. It was GREAT!!! I highly recommend Alabama Goods if you are looking for all things Alabama for you or for someone else! Great service & great inventory to select from.

Ferns are great plants they take minimal care and maintenance and have so many variaties. So too with the Japanese maples. I guess I like low maintenance plants. I saw for the first time lemon, lime, and orange trees. Impulse almost got the better of me. But I have made a decision to return and pick up some blueberry bushes.

My husband and I like to go to the gardens to walk and then stop by the store to look around. The other day, we bought a "hard to find" type of fern and it was reasonably priced. This place is a lot more than a plant shop and you could spend hours just looking at all the interesting things they have for sale. Let me say, however, bring your wallet because they can be pricey. Also be careful if you have kids with you because the shop can be crowded and things can easily be broken. The positives are that the shop layout is beautiful and the decorators took a lot of time to make it visibly appealing to the customers. And, the staff here are friendly and very knowledgeable about plants.

I went in hoping to find something special for a friend's birthday... and walked out completely blown away by the experience. Mary Ellen, Cayleigh, and their team didn't just help me pick out gifts -- they made the entire process feel thoughtful and personal. They listened, offered the sweetest suggestions, and somehow turned what could have been a quick errand into one of the most enjoyable shopping trips I've had in a long time. Their kindness felt genuine, their excitement was contagious, and their attention to detail was incredible. What surprised me most was how invested they were in helping me make someone else feel celebrated. That level of care is rare and says so much about the heart behind this store. It's not just a place to shop -- it's a place that reminds you how meaningful great customer service and genuine human connection can be. I left with the perfect gifts and an even better impression. I can't recommend them enough and already can't wait to go back. I highly recommend!! Amazing value and selections for all!!

It is like a magical French bakery/general store, tucked away like a secret garden. Am I in south France or Birmingham? HARD TO TELL I don't know if I enjoyed the treats more or all the visual delights. The treats were just amazing. I brought my husband and all of my kids so we got a nice sampling of goodies from the cases. It was all perfection. Cookies were crispy on the edges, appropriately soft in the middle. The almond cake was buttery and sweet, but not too sweet. Muffins were excellent. The food is so well done. The ambiance here? Extraordinary. Every corner, every ceiling tile, every display has been so thoughtfully curated. This place was such a treat for my eyes and my imagination. I could sit for hours and just enjoy all the clever ways furniture is used. My kids played in the little play area- even that was done so beautifully! The store had such a wide selection of cute tea towels and little gifts. If you want to surprise someone with a beautiful little happy, or birthday gift, or Mother's Day gift, there's plenty to choose from here! I rarely buy things from little stores like this, but I purchased several gifts for girlfriends and my mom and an apron for myself. It's easy to get caught up!

It's such a unique place with it being both a restaurant as well as a shop. It's got a very nostalgic feel to it with the decor and items for sale. I saw a couple students but when I visited I mostly saw upper class looking Caucasian ladies. Being very laid back, down to earth and often times socially awkward, I admit that it felt a little hoity toity, while also being a very welcoming spot. It's hard to explain, so you'll have to check it out for yourself. Also worth noting for the plus size community: the chairs are not plus size friendly. (See zoomed in photo) The employees there were on top of their jobs and super helpful. They cleaned up the tables that emptied quickly, as the lunch crowd trickled in. The food was good. I loved the creative presentation of the sampler plate! The pimento cheese was very cold and hard to spread but I still it. The toast triangles were delicious! While they offer a lot of excellent coffee choices. I only got a 1/2 & 1/2 tea. Even the restroom was really neat with the retro decor. I'd definitely go back.
