Honestly, I am surprised that I have never reviewed this place before. Every time that I find myself in the Birmingham, Alabama area, I stop at this particular store. The staff is friendly and attentive and only add to my overall experience. They have a fun selection of Alabama centric goods. I usually come here for food stuff like Alabama white sauce, but I have also purchased a few T-shirts from here. Prices are not bad. Some things are a bit high, but it is what it is. I think the last T-shirt that I bought here was about twenty-five dollars. By the way, it is a great T-shirt that says "It's Nice to Have You in Birmingham." I would definitely recommend a visit to this store.

The customer service is impeccable! With locally made or sourced products from Alabama, each gift can be truly unique and special. They offer complimentary bags with decorative tissue with purchases or other options like gift boxes or special gift baskets (with 48 hr notice)! Such a special place to shop!

You pretty much can't go wrong with giving local gifts to folks, especially when your friends do not dwell in the Ham or the Heart of Dixie. Alabama Goods is stuffed full of items from either Birmingham or Alabama, perfect for presents either for yourself or for others. They've got your bases covered; I saw shirts, soaps, pottery, items made out of wood, jewelry, snacks, hot sauce, potholders, cards, stickers, and I'm probably forgetting a zillion other things. And all at varying price points. The chatty and nice lady working offered to help but I was content just browsing. So much to see! So don't be in a hurry when you venture into Alabama Goods.

I could spend hours at this store looking at each piece of gorgeous artistic work. Great place to bring a little bit of Alabama back home.

This was our only pit stop as we cut through Birmingham and it was definitely worthwhile with all of the local goods.

I was given a gift card to this place by a good friend. I had never heard of this store, but my…read morefriend knows me well because when I entered last week, I was so happy to see all the different items made by people all around the world. I was able to talk with the manager (or maybe owner) and she told me they work with 400 cooperatives in 59 countries across the world. The first time I went, I didn't buy anything because there were so many different things and I wanted more time to really look at everything. There were household goods, instruments, shoes, blankets, jewelry, art, and so much more. Prices range from low to high, but all are fairly priced to help promote economic development in the countries that send the goods. The second time I went, I took my husband with me. He settled on a Gourd Shaker made in Peru and I purchased earrings made in Kenya. While we were there, we saw a djembe that we will probably go back and get. I highly suggest you stop by. You'll probably find several things you like! Oh, this place is great for finding unique gifts. I'll be a repeat customer.

Some items will be more expensive than other places which use child labour, sweatshops, or forced labour. I am happy to spend more and purchase a few quality items rather than a ton of cheap things made by grossly underpaid people overseas. The atmosphere is nice. The owner and employees are great. It is easy to get around the store as it is not cluttered. I also ordered a backpack when I got home. Wished I had bought it that day I was there. However, there is online ordering and I got this in a day as I am in Montgomery area. Look forward to returning. Hare Krishna!!!
