I love this store! It's so cutesy and they always do a great job of decorating for different holidays. It's a woman-owned gift/trinket shop downtown and it's pretty fun to browse their inventory of unique jewelry, socks, puzzles, candles, and more. The Charm team also hosts events! One of my favs was a Barbie themed one where they created a box for photos, had custom cookies, and cute earrings. If you're looking for a special gift to make a friend laugh or smile, give them a visit. read more

Such a fun shop! Went with some girlies and we found Valentine gifts for ourselves. The items inside are so unique and such high quality and the prices are still really affordable. As a birthday gift, my friend bought me some beautiful moon, star, and pearl earrings and told me she got them from Charm. We went again and I was amazed. The shop is cute and small, full of beautiful jewelry, artsy purses, funny gifts and trinkets. I saw the most perfect purse. The owner said she was having a sale and I got it for only $15.00. What a "charm"ing boutique this was to stumble upon while in Birmingham. I was having lunch at Urban Standard (review on this to come once I'm done dreaming about the epic grilled cheese that I devoured there) and just had to check out this adorable little spot. Wow am I glad that I did! Everything feels very thoughtfully curated and it creates a wonderful atmosphere to shop for a special & unique gift. I found two really great dainty necklaces for my teenage daughter and the selection of stationary/greeting cards was just adorable. I found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality as well. The customer service and conversation was wonderful so it was an all around great experience. There are a million and one reasons to support local small business but one of my favorite parts is getting to experience the creative and distinctive energy that is so often found in these spaces! read more

I bought a wonderful vintage necklace and a fun card for my wife's birthday. The owner is really funny and helpful. This store has a great vibe with a cool looking black chandelier. They carry necklaces, bracelets, scarfs, handbags, very cool Edison light bulbs, art, greeting cards, magenets, and this and thats. The prices were surprisingly inexpensive. What a Birmingham treasure! We popped into Charm after breakfast at the nearby Feast & Forest. They have tons of quirky items from colorful socks with funny slogans to handmade and vintage jewelry. It's a small shop but it's packed full with a variety of items that you're bound to love. Not only is this place a great shopping destination but the owner is a LOVELY woman with such a loud and friendly personality. We spent a good amount of time just browsing and talking over things with her. This is my go-to destination for gifts for others and treats for myself. read more

Strolling around trying to kill some time before my flight i wandered into this store. I got attracted to the eclectic mix of accessories it had. I love this place! The selection of handmade jewelry is gorgeous and fits almost any price range. I bought a very pretty leather purse at a reasonable price and some quirky 50's-style gag gifts. I've always been a fan of the Blue Q brand. The fitted t-shirts for sale were nice too, and I really liked the pro-LGBT ones, which are hard to come by in the South. The owner is very nice and helpful, plus the gold 1920's cash register is a nice touch. Definitely check this store out if you're downtown. read more

She also has the amazing Papaya stationary which is so hard to find. All in all just an amazing experience and atmosphere. I was treated very rudely. The woman that owns the store doesn't really seem to like girls. She gossiped to one of her friends the entire time I browsed, loudly telling someone's very personal story. She is also very crass. I found the stuff to be over-priced. She paid more attention to my boyfriend than me, and he wasn't the potential customer. read more

This place (and its owner) is so much fun. She sells really nice costume jewelry. Some of it is new, some vintage and some remade in her own distinct style. But it doesn't end there. There are purses, stationary, cards, sunglasses, quirky wallets and other accessories too numerous and insane to list. The owner's flare for design and display are unequaled outside of New York City (where she is from, by the way). When I need a special gift she always come through and makes me look good.
