FedEx service is awful. Their web pages make no sense and will drive you in circles. After accepting a fee for delaying a delivery (I was on vacation), they decided to deliver early anyway. The tracking information shows attempts of delivery, but no proof of the attempt was left at the door. My wife spent all the day 12/05/2019 waiting, but at 6 pm I got a text message stating that the delivery was rescheduled for 12/06/2019 with no attempts to deliver. I filed a complaint Case ID #1206955931 on 12/06/2019. The representative on the phone told that the customer does not have a way to follow up on the complaint and to find what corrective actions were taken. The management of FedEx must listen to the customer's voice, as we can see I am not the only one who is very disappointed we the service. They sent an email saying my package was delivered but no one came, I have no images of any kind of package being delivered on camera and I was home all day. I continue to get notifications stating that the driver attempted delivery during our business hours and that the business was closed , but there is always some one here to sign if they need a signature. and they always put a time during our business hours. Still the worst delivery service on the market. Contracted drivers are the worst in the industry and yet again; no delivery's are made and no door tags left, just claims of attempted deliveries get reported on their website. Of course I stay home 2 days to get the delivery and not so much as see a FedEx driver come to my door. The management of the route operators is the worst, I hope they have to file chapter 9 and get shut down once and for all. I hope all the Lyft/Uber drivers take the company down by providing the same service. I keep filing internal complaints but nothing changes with the quality of service and those that buy the routes from Fed-Ex and deliver for them (their drivers purchase routes and work like franchise contract owners). Basically they don't care cause they're isn't enough competition in the market and I'm assuming they feel they don't have to care. Corporate should read these reviews and make some changes quick! Or maybe corporate managers are the problem? With all the horrible reviews, the only thing that shocks me is that no upper management has stepped in to clean up the mess this location has made. It's apparently business as usual for the employees to do nothing, be the least amount of helpful as possible, lie, have no customer service skills....I could go on and on. The bottom line for me is that my package is being sent back because I was notified ONE TIME, not the supposed six the nasty woman behind the counter said attempts were made. I was promised TWICE that my package would be pulled for pickup at the Carson location and it was never there. Ever got customer service so bad it's laughable? If that's something you're interested in experiencing use Fedex's Carson location. It's one of kind. Horrible. I order something I'm extremely excited to have. I pay for 2 DAY SHIPPING (caps because paying extra for shipping must mean I need it asap ;) The first day it's suppose to arrive the FedEx driver is spotted putting the first attempt sticker on the mailbox and driving away quickly. Um sir? Ever used a doorbell? No? How about a good ol knock on the door to let the receiver know you've arrived. It usually works, refer back to your training manual for more information. This happens 2 days back to back, he's spotted again not coming in the yard. He moves so fast you can see him but not catch him. You'd have to be a trained track star. At this point I'm upset. I called customer service and explain my discomfort and dissatisfaction with the driver. I was told I'd receive and call back in 2 hours max. I call them back because I received no phone call. I. Want. My. Package! 4 hours later I'm even more bothered because the customer service is unlike anything I've ever experienced. I get in touch with a supervisor who tries to get in contact with the location and couldn't. How is this possible? This is during business hours btw. I call back and the next customer service person tries to help me and they were on hold for 30 mins. The manager of that location is suppose to get in touch with the driver and give me a call. 8 hours later..... still no call. Lmao. So now the center is closed and I'm told I have to wait until Monday 3 more days from now to speak to someone from corporate and the manager said she was super busy and didn't have time to call me back. Really? You're too busy to call a customer and let them know what's going on? Takes 30 seconds out of your 8 hour work day. She tells the customer service lady that was helping me over the phone that: the driver didn't want to knock on the door because of the beware of dog sign. What!? I don't have a sign or dog! You sir, have jokes. If I could personally strongly suggest that no company I shop with uses this center as a middle man to deliver my items I would. The Hawthorne location is fine they always come to the door. Carson needs new management and should consider retraining their drivers. Came here to check if my suspicions were right, and they were. Like many others my package has said that it was loaded on a truck for delivery and that was five days ago. FedEx customer service is worthless so I guess whatever driver jacked my package will get away with it. This is a warning to anyone buying anything of high value online and lives around the South Bay: do NOT opt for FedEx ground, as your package will likely get "lost", or also known as stolen by a FedEx employee. I have tried to be reasonable with them, but after seeing all the negative comments I now understand that my two cases are not isolated incidents, but the norm. Anyway, my two issues come from placing an online order with GameStop: I managed to preorder an Xbox Series X when it first became available, and lately snagged a PS5 bundle. In both cases, I was given an expected delivery date of no more than 4 days, and both times the packages were updated as being put on a truck for delivery but never showed up on the expected day. This delivery date was changed to 2 days later, followed by "pending". Both times I have immediately contacted FedEx customer support asking for an update and was assigned a case manager to trace my packages, with both of them saying they'll have an update within 24-48 hours and that they'll call me back. Guess what: they never did call me back. In my frustration I called them every day after waiting, and for the Xbox Series X it took them NEARLY A MONTH to conclude that my package was lost and that I should contact GameStop. They tried to blame the loss on the increased demand from holiday shopping which at the time sort of made sense even though it was early November, but there's no excuse this time with the PS5. My case with the PS5 is still ongoing, but I highly doubt that it'll be found as it looks to be a repeat of my last experience. Tl;dr: FedEx will steal your package and claim it as missing. Choose either FedEx Air or UPS if available. read more

What in the name of all that is holy is this place! I was expecting a warehouse or some sort of normalcy. So you arrive and have to be buzzed into what looks like a prison. You aimlessly walk in what you hope is the right direction and you walk into a security office. Metal detectors for the employees are on both sides of the room. Make sure to approach the security since you won't be asked, "may I help you?" So far I've been standing here for 10 mins and I'm the only non-employee in the room. Now I get a visitor badge to walk a half block to another building. Mind you, this is just for one package. So after my trek to through Mordor and up the secret passageway of Mount Doom, I get my package. I arrived at 3:50 and left my journey at 4:20. Seriously, not using FedEx ever again. read more

A second was sent and it's been at the Carson facility for 3 days according to the tracking number. The last notice I got stated we couldn't be found. We've lived at our address for almost 50 years. I used FedEx a couple of years ago to ship some family heirlooms to our niece. The package had been torn open and the heirlooms were gone when she received it. I knew then, I'd never use them again. I've order pass things involving their shipping, and every time I make an order, the box and product ALWAYS GETS DAMAGED! I have been home all day, every day. I have also posted delivery instructions in the app, for my deliveries. My update on this Fed-ex nitemare: so the microwave was not delivered Friday either. My son stayed home the entire day since a couch was being delivered. He also received about 12 packages on Friday for his new place, from UPS, USPS & Amazon, yet somehow Fed-ex couldn't deliver the microwave with no note left at door on front of building but on their Fed-ex site stated they "attempted" delivery. The site said it would be out for delivery on Saturday. My son did receive 3 Fed-ex packages on Saturday but NO MICROWAVE !!!! How is that possible??? Fed-ex site again states "delivery attempted" and that it would now be delivered Sunday. It was not delivered Sunday & there was no note on their site as to why. So I am moving into my new home this Wednesday and I ordered a sofa bed online which shows it will be delivered on Wednesday. However, on Sunday night I saw the scheduled delivery is on Monday so that I called to reschedule it. -10000 stars. Worst experience ever. I purchased an iPhone last week on a Friday through Apple.com. It was uploaded to be delivered the following week in a Wednesday. I took the day off work, to wait around alll day. Because you know they always come up with that lie, "we tried to deliver your package, but no one was home." So I have our security camera on, ready to spot anyone standing at the door, I grabbed a nice spot in the living next to the door to wait. Every FedEx truck that drove by the street, I would stand up and peered out the door. Checked the tracking "Out for delivery, will arrive before the end of the day." 12am rolled up and still no package. Searching for a customer service number online is like looking for an invisible needle in a hay stack. You're just not going to find it. I don't know how but I stumbled upon a "text chat" option for customer service. I was issued a "trace number" and was told they would investigate the location of my missing package and I would be contacted later. Towards the end of the day I get an email of the text conversation I had in the website and that by phone within two hours. So two days later still no contact. I visit my local FedEx office and get directions to the distribution office where my package was last seen. I had to drive around the whole block to find the entrance. It looks like a country jail entrance. You have to ring the buzzer, security opens the door, you go down the narrow "prison coral" pathway. Enter a room to get your stuff x-rayed and a walkthrough metal detector. The security personnel asked me why I was there, blah blah missing package. She makes a phone call, gives me the number to call. Which I will leave here because it's impossible to find online: 18004633339. I fill them in on my situation, they tell me that the delivery guy showed up to deliver my package, but when he goes to retrieve the package wasn't in the truck. At least now I know 1% more then I did before. She said they would have someone else call me soon to call me with the location of the package. A couple hours later I get a call back. They tell me they don't know where my package is. They will continue to search until May 1st, it's been missing since April 25th. "If can't find it by then you'll just have to call the shipper and open a claim with them." WOW, way to take responsibility. I purchased a phone for my mother whose phone had died over a week ago. It's much cheaper to buy the new phone than a replacement battery and have to pay someone to replace it. Now my mother will be without her phone for longer. It's very inconvenient. Luckily I called Apple and they will do their own case within 48 hours and if not found they will replace the phone for us. Unfortunately, they will ship it through FedEx Ground again....I hope this story doesn't repeats itself. Moral of this story? Always ship USPS, DHL, UPS, everything and everything before FedEx. -_- ***UPDATE*** FedEx called back on May 1st, "we could not locate you package, you'll have to talk to the company you made the purchase from." Dude. I was sitting at the front of my apartment building waiting for my package to arrive since 9 am because they need a signature. I get an email an 9:56 am that the truck was here at 9:46 am and was unable to deliver the package. I HAVE BEEN HERE THE ENTIRE TIME. I received no call, no knock, no email, until after this driver was "unable to deliver." No. You did not even try. After spending 15 minutes trying to find a way to contact the driver online, I called customer service. I issued a complaint, and they told me that I could pick up my package the same day from this Carson Depot. I told them I need it by noon and that it was originally to be delivered yesterday. I knew it was a long shot, but I said I would drive to meet the truck at another building, even if I had to wait an hour to get the package. Of course, they said they could not contact the driver or give me his/her/their/it's location. I can understand a delay because of July 4th, but this is too much. The problem is, I now cannot get my package until 6:00 pm tonight or wait for their "delivery" tomorrow! This renders my package useless for the event I have tonight. Ridiculous! read more

They will lie about attempting to deliver a package when they didnt, packages will also say on truck for delivery and not show then say pending. Customer service is also rude from my experience they will make you want to cuss them out quick! So many packages seem to come up missing there! FedEx should be a great company, but this building and its employees are pretty much the worst. They make sure that it is impossible to reach a human being at any time. You are blocked at every angle, and no one returns a call. I purchase from a vendor in North Hollywood for delivery to my condominium in a secure building in Downtown Long Beach. Out of 10 shipments 1 has arrived in 2022. I have also had packages sent to me from Amazon vendors that I finally found at a downtown Long Beach FedEx Kinkos office that I had to pick up myself. Almost every time they have said that they tried to deliver a package I was home. There is an intercom system, that works by keypad adjacent to the main door of our building, that can let anyone in if you try pushing a button. Never once have they tried this simple option. As well I have given FedEx customer service the entry code to the building multiple times as well as to the companies that I made the purchases with and have given them my cell phone # every time I have ordered anything to be delivered with FedEx. Furthermore I use the FedEx application that notifies me at 5:30 AM that I have a delivery coming that day and then an hour after the driver has pulled on a secure door... (not trying to use the keypad to the left of said door, or called the phone number on the order provided with the box for delivery at the door) receive another text telling me that they tried but were unable to get into the building because the business was closed. AGAIN, it is a CONDOMINIUM. someone is always in the building. If you call the actual business phone # (310) 605-4600 no one will answer, and it will ask you to call customer service by simply dialing *611 this is the customer service # for Spectrum not FedEx. He went above and beyond during a pandemic when FedEx is flooded with deliveries and found my package and delivered it to me for curbside pickup. The most juvenile and unprofessional interview I've ever had. First of all, it was more like a screening than an interview...it could have been conducted on Zoom and I didn't need to waste gas or risk catching Covid to attend this raggedy "interview". Two big burly dudes conducted the interview which was a little uncomfortable for me, as a woman. They couldn't tell me how much the position was paying, didn't know about the full benefits. Only asked me questions they were given on a piece of paper. I asked one of the men if he could get back to me with information about the benefits and I never heard back from him. Just absolutely unprofessional and not worth the gas to get there. Even if they decided I wasn't right for the position, you would think that a company like FedEx would be professional enough to follow protocol and be prepared with basic information or respond correctly. First of all, Fedex drivers do not know what they are doing. My shipment did not make it to my front door with two attempts, in which the second time, I was home the whole time. No knocking, no notification at front door. Then I have to hurry to the warehouse because they close at 5pm, but the entrance difficult to find (and there is no sign), thus I had to circle around to finally find the entrance. I pulled up at 4:55pm and the person said that he is done with the pickups at 5pm. And I had to tell him it is before 5pm. Then a couple more customers walk in and complain. Then I give my tracking # and about 15 minutes later a woman comes in and tells me the truck driver has not returned yet and I have to pickup Monday. The customer service that I called 20 minutes before arriving told me to pick up by 5pm. They do not communicate internally, obviously. I would not recommend you using or picking up from this location. read more

You go on the app and give shipping instructions which is nonsensical because they don't follow it. You call customer service and they give you a solution but don't follow through. Supposedly driver left package at the front door. I never got a knock or the door or anyone buzzing my apt # for delivery.
