I've been here many times and leaving another review! This time I had the Trio and I chose the Salmon, Crab Stuffed Shrimp and the Chicken Strips. The shrimp was amazing and seasoned to perfection. The chicken strips were fresh and crispy and delicious with the honey mustard. The salmon was delicious as always. It's always on my Trio when I go. The fries were a huge portion and not greasy and salted just right. I couldn't eat it all and took a shrimp, 2 strips and half the salmon and fries home for later. I can't eat much at once but I always get the Trio so I have leftovers. Heat them up in the air fryer and they are perfect. The service was amazing as usual and the waitress was on top of things without coming to the table too much. I can't wait for my next visit! read more

We attempted to eat here after church on a Sunday. We were not able to find a single open parking spot. We were very disappointed as we have been meaning to try this restaurant since moving to Springfield. After we chose another restaurant, it occurred to us that the sheer number of cars packing their lot was a good sign, so we determined to visit during the week. This turned out to be a great plan. Immediately upon entering it seemed we had stepped into another well-managed restaurant. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our server was economical with her steps and did not forget little details. She checked on us frequently. While we waited for our food we watched tables being cleaned and the floor swept and vacuumed. They did not disturb guest, but made efficient work of keeping it clean. The food was excellent. We shared a spinach dip appetizer and two-breast Hawaiian Chicken Dinner. The chicken was tasty and perfectly cooked and the whipped potatoes were delicious. There was none of the promised garlic butter on our broccoli, but it was properly cooked and tasty enough. Everything was served hot. Both choices were recommended by the server and did not disappoint. We're were very full when we left. It's nice to encounter restaurants that understand the art of service and train to deliver. read more

Recently ate at FD's . I ordered the fried shrimp, baked potato & coleslaw. Friend ordered the chicken strips& fries. The food was excellent, large split shrimp & the tarter sauce was extra creamy with unique spices. Chicken strips moist and delicious. The waitress was very polite and checked on us several times. The person at the front desk of our hotel recommended this place. So glad she did because we wouldn't have found it otherwise. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and arrived at our table quickly. We were told the portion sizes are generous and the prices low, and they were. I had the red trout with broccoli and substituted their mashed potatoes for a house salad. That salad was like eating dessert first it was delicious. My husband had a chicken dish with bourbon glaze and a cup of gumbo. He loved the chicken but would have enjoyed a bowl of the gumbo as his meal. Now for the key lime pie. read more

Food is always hot and fresh. It is one of our favorite places to eat no matter if it's date night or a family dinner.

On our most recent roadtrip we stopped at FD's in Springfield Missouri. Everything about this place was so perfect-I wish I could go again. The menu is so vast-everything looked so good, and was SO reasonable. I had such a hard time selecting. I ended up getting the salad with grilled fish and house dressing. SO good. Everyone else loved what they got and all the diners around us meals' also looked amazing and the portions were all quite big. Looking around, I was making notes of what I would get next time, while thoroughly enjoying my salad. For dessert, they only had one item-their specialty-key lime pie, so we HAD to try it. All 6 of us shared one slice. It was AMAZING! The ambiance was nice-eating here actually felt a little like fine dining. If you are in the area, stop in here!!! read more

Wanted to modify the salmon to reduce the amount of sodium and butter sauce, as well as eliminating the butter and sour cream from the baked potato. Our server said "sure not a big deal at all" and guess what when the plate was delivered it was exactly right! My son salmon was prepared the way the menu indicated and my wife's salad with chicken was properly prepared too. The flavor of the foods were all good and better than we expected. The service continue to be perfect from start to finish. It was quiet for a casual restaurant, but we were there between lunch and dinner so it may be more robust during the peak hours.
