The worst fish dish and pasta I've ever had!!!! First of all the redfish wasn't redfish at all it some some kind of frozen imported crap!! The crabmeat sauce that I asked for on the side came mixed in with the angel hair pasta which wasn't properly drained so it was a watery tasteless mess and the "fresh" crabmeat wasn't fresh at all!! It was that pasteurized frozen crap!! Do yourself a favor and save $30 dollars and go to the store and cook it at home!!! read more

We have been coming here for years. I love their veal parmigana. Did you know you can substitute a gumbo for the salad? It's a small upcharge but you'll be glad you did it! Their gumbo is sooooo good. I also try to substitute my side of pasta for a side of veggies. I'm not a super fan of angel hair pasta. My kids like their kids menu - their favorite is the chicken fingers and French fries. The chicken fingers are close to chicken fries and have a very thin batter. read more

Todd and I decided we needed Italian, but not Olive Garden Italian. We're talking old school Italian. Well, Fazzio's is definitely old school Italian. Once seated I wanted to dig a little deeper into this old school Italian food so I started to ask the waiter some questions. My dad side of the family is straight old school Italian, I was born in Italy, and have visited there recently. The waiter was very informative and knowledgeable, He told us all the items on the menu (from meatballs to sauce) are made in house. I asked if the pasta was freshly made in house and he kind of laughed like "are you crazy, lady?" and said no. I was kind of disappointed with that because I make my own pasta at home and it isn't that hard. What kind of Italian doesn't make their own pasta?!? Anyways, I ordered the lasagna, Todd the spaghetti and meatballs. We wanted to keep it old school and classic. The food was great. The red sauce (gravy) was more on the sweeter side for Todd, but I liked it. Though I guess I am the one with the sweet tooth! We were too full for dessert, but maybe next time I can squeeze it in! My wife and my favorite restaurant. On the appetizers the shrimp Fazzio's is amazing. We rarely order off of the main menu. Make sure you try their fish specials. Their fish is always fresh and has no "fishy" taste. The chef gets very creative with the specials/ingredients. Try it out! read more

Went here with a large party of family and friends. There may have been 20-22 I'm not sure how many. It was nice on the inside white table cloths and candle/lantern lit. ( Except for our tables ) When we got there it was wet and rainy and no candles were lit. I guess they light them at a certain time and it would have been rude to reach over us to light them, that's understandable. I ordered the gumbo, it was ok it had a strong fishy taste I guess it was the shrimp. My sister in law said it tasted more like Étouffée to her. She had a few bites and was done. I was surprised that the waitress didn't know what file' was. This is the south I thought everyone knew what it is. To me the bread tasted a little dry/stale maybe? I came across this place after getting lost on my way back home. They close at 10pm and I showed up at 925ish. The 1st thing I noticed was the customer service. The host was pleasant and so was the bartender. They didn't make me feel bad for coming in close to closing. I ordered the Da Fazz Shrimp and a Blackened Chicken Salad. The shrimp was sweet with a little heat. I guess you can say it's similar to firecracker shrimp from other places. All in all, it was great and an ample amount in a serving. Definitely enough for two people. The salad was typical but the blackened chicken was very tastt, not dry at all. I had it with the balsamic vingerettw and it was amazing. The other good part is that the dressing container is larger than what most places will give you. I definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a cozy/intimate evening out. It's hard to believe that a little Italian restaurant can cook such a fantastic ribeye. Paired with a cup of gumbo, this steak was a deal at 32.00. Saturday evening. 5:15p. Food very good. Service not. Come in with wife and elderly mother. Get seated right away (several open tables). Server has trouble wearing mask. Ordered drinks, bread, appetizers, entrees. Timely. Get salads timely. Time goes by. Then, group of four comes in and gets seated right away (still several open tables). They get entrees and we're still waiting. A table waiting longer than us (two adults/three small kids) then gets entrees. Our entrees finally arrive as group of four is almost done. They are long gone before we finish. Go to reception desk and share experience with owner, while we're still waiting for food. Explained to me that "They come in every week. They don't order. Food and drinks just come." I return to table and owner follows, finishing explanation. Embarrassing in dining room. Understand patronage. Don't understand that experience. We went last evening for everyday dining. We ordered the crab claws for an appetizer and they were delicious. The salads were also very good. My wife ordered the Veal Milanese and it was delicious with a generous portion of veal. I ordered the ribeye with a baked potato. I fond the ribeye a bit tough but for the price it wasn't bad and was prepared as ordered. The baked potato was perfect. Now for dessert, this is where things went down hill. The waiter asked if we were interested in some spumoni or a cannoli. Thinking they didn't make it in house I asked where it was from and the reply was "Brocato's" I immediately ordered the cannoli. As soon as the waiter brought out the cannoli I told him that was not a Brocato cannoli, his reply was "Not the wafer but the filling is." Then he comes back and proceeds to tell me that the shells are sourced from New York and hard to get. So he knew damn well he knew damn well that cannoli didn't come from Brocato's. Having grown up eating Angelo Brocato cannoli I can assure you neither the filling nor the shell was from Angelo Brocato. read more

Nice, casual traditional Italian. The traditional southern Italian "red sauce" items are all very good. The seafood is quite good as well. The service is efficient and friendly. There can be a wait on weekends but it usually goes pretty fast. The prices are reasonable. The wine list is a bit limited but the selections in general go well with the food. We had a table of 4 tonight and arrived at 6 pm and restaurant was about 1/3 full. We ordered at 6:15 and ended up walking out of the restaurant at 7:45 after continually being told our order was next and we watched many other tables being served after they told us our table was next. People who arrived 45 minutes after us were served first. We asked for bread and told they were out of bread!!! We didn't order anything special, just regular dishes on their menu. The icing on the cake was the rude unprofessional "manager" that approached out table after we told the waitress to bring our check for the drinks. The manager told us our food "should" be up in the next 3 to 5 minutes. When we told her we waited long enough she gave us a nasty look, flipped her head at us, turned her back and walked away. She never once offered any apology. In my professional career I've eaten out more than the average person and have had similar many times. A good manager would have apologized and maybe even offered to buy a drink or offer a complimentary dessert or something. In this case a simple apology would have kept us there but her nasty attitude sealed the deal to leave. We have eaten at Fazzios many times in the past but probably won't go back. read more

Having been many times over the years, my last visit will BE my last. I ordered the veal, and it was so extremely over salted as to be inedible, and I like salt! Somebody must have salted it, forgot salted it again, and maybe AGAIN. I took one bite, and brought it to the attention of the waitress, who took it back to the kitchen. She came back and said that I had eaten too much of it to take it off the bill, and order something else, because I'd "eaten over half of it" I had taken ONE BITE. The claws were obviously old and tasted fishy in spite of the attempted coverup with lots of garlic, and the other special, crab and corn chowder had the same old crab meat. Stopped in for lunch and had the Veal Royal and the Chicken Parmigiana. Both were nice portions and we could only eat half of it. Tried Fazzio's for the first time tonight. We ordered through Waitr and delivery was quick. Angel hair and meatballs was a huge portion, but the marinara was a little too sweet in my opinion. Wife thought she ordered chicken Alfredo, but we ordered wrong and only got noodles and sauce. (Also a small iceberg salad and some bread) It was $17 for half the portion of my meatballs dish which was $16. Complete rip-off! 50 cents worth of noodles and some Alfredo sauce shouldn't cost $17 ($20 if we added chicken) If it does, it better be a huge portion and the best you've ever had...it wasn't. One star goes to the onion rings that we're really good. We may try it again, but in my opinion, there's better Italian food in mandeville at a better price, so overall a disappointing experience. read more

I'm so sad to write this review but unfortunately dinner was a miss on every account besides the server. I come here a few times per month but not any more. The crab claws were dehydrated and super small when we asked before hand the size, specifying we only wanted it if they were the usual large size. The tarter sauce was violently spicy and usually it never has spice too it. Unfortunately I can not eat any spicy food. They didn't ask if we wanted something else. They did nothing to remedy the situation and because the manager (not the server, she was great) did nothing. I will not be coming back. I'll be going to crabby shack for my weekly fried shrimp addiction. They are always on point! read more

The food is pretty good -- the creamy crab pasta is outstanding. The primary challenge I have is ordering for curbside delivery. The automated email message tells you to be there in 30 minutes but the food is rarely ready then. The restaurant doesn't have a system in place to let you know when you should arrive so I have waited quite a while the last couple of times that I have ordered. I addition, the phone line was busy for five minutes the last time I arrived to pick up my order. In summary, the food is reliable but the curbside delivery service isn't. read more

This is my favorite restaurant on the North Shore. The food is rich (deliciously so) and always has a great fresh taste. It's hard to find restaurants that serve veal and their's is always tender and flavorful. I roll between veal and their Jim Bob Shrimp (crab stuffed shrimp) and their sauces are luscious. My husband and I dined for lunch today. This was my second visit. We were greated by an unsmiling, unwelcoming woman. I believe that this was the owner?? We were seated and were greated by our pleasant waitress. As we waited for our drinks, I noticed that the remaining wait staff looked miserable. None had a smile on their face. A bald gentleman, who I am assuming was the other owner, also had an unpleasant look on his face. This unpleasantness made me feel very uncomfortable & unwelcome! The food was a bit pricey for lunch, but it was delicious! I had the chicken in the white crabmeat sauce. The chicken was tender & juicy! My husband had the panned veal & fettuccine. He said his dish was also delicious! He even commented on how good the iced tea was! As we were leaving the restaurant, we passed both owners. Neither said a word! Not even a simple thank you! Had dinner there Sat night. Had to wait for a table because of limited seating because of COVID 19 .Understandable. Food great as usual , service good but their COVID distancing was better than any place we've been since all reopening's of restaurants. My wife and I were at our table when a table across from us finished and left. Well it was fantastic their cleaning and sanitizing of the empty table . They sprayed table , chairs moved chairs back sprayed floor and actually waited before wiping it down and mopping floor around table . And all staff had mask on the entire time we were there. I am a new fairly new customer and had a friend recommend their roast beef which I thought was really good. Went about 3 times and then covid hit and they were closed. Found out recently that they were open for inside service and went to get my wife and I went to get a roast beef sandwich only to be told that they were not serving roast at that time. Ordered a oyster sandwich that we were going to split. Sandwich arrived and was surprised to find that each half only had 4 medium size oysters barely filling the bread. Oysters were good though. The bill arrived and I was shocked that I was charged $21.00 for 8 oysters. I was going to complain but my wife reminded me that the menu said market price. I decided to write this review after visiting two other resturants and paid $15.00 for a sandwich at one and then went to Mandeville Seafood and got a seafood platter for 19.00. It had 6 oysters and 6 shrimp 3 large pieces of catfish and a stuffed crab. It was then I realized how much I was overcharged for my oyster sandwich. My advice, stay away from their oyster sandwiches. read more

So, today's lunch was the Chicken Marsala with a side Caesar salad. The Marsala was really good. Angel hair pasta, loaded with mushrooms, sauteed onions in a lightly thickened brown Marsala sauce. Chicken was very tender and juicy. Everything was seasoned nicely. The salad had homemade croutons that were crunchy, which is definitely what I look for. The only thing I think was missing was maybe some sort of bread for all that wonderful gravy. read more

Very good restaurant like the kind I grew up on in New Orleans. Authentic New Orleans Italian, as a previous poster said. . It has been a few years since we have been here. We usually dine out on Sundays, and they are closed then. Our entrees tasted fantastic. The maitre d, waitress and bus staff were on the ball with orders, refilling drinks, cleaning up plates and spills, etc. However, they were not over-attentive - just right. Two minor complaints: I got the grilled,skewered shrimp, which were supposed to be 12 jumbo shrimp. I thought they were more like medium-plus size, but it was still enough to fill me up (a lighter appetite female). The other thing was that the bread was hard and crusty, inside and out. My husband and I were looking forward to a loaf of hot bread, but it was more like a giant crouton. Overall, we had a great dining experience and hope to visit again soon. Recommended! read more
