I posted on Google, and it appears my comment about my experience was flagged by Faulkner. Now, I am forced to post here. Their actions scream guilt. Below is my original Google post. I uncomfortably received two separate phone calls from Faulkner and, as a courtesy, listened for several minutes as they justified their behavior. They apologized for my feeling a certain way, however, never for their actions. They even offensively started running down the people of color they were related to. The second guy who called had the audacity to tell me he had a Black child. So, of course, my experience couldn't have happened. It's very insulting and doesn't at all show compassion and understanding. I really attempted to keep my cool by saying I appreciate your call. However, they would follow it up by continuing to put their foot in their mouth. They so much wanted me to say they weren't wrong that they continued to try and keep the conversation going. It was so uncomfortable and offensive. Next time anyone walks through their doors, they should always lead with kindness and care. ORIGINAL POST: I have been wanting to purchase a Subaru for a long time. My son and I walked in, ready to make a purchase for an Outback. I felt uncomfortable when approached by a salesman, Anthony, I believe. He seemed to be annoyed that I wanted to even spend my money there. The no eye contact. Us not being offered a seat, etc. Usually, they want you to have a seat and a cup of coffee too! My son has a way about him that always wants to see the good in people, so we stayed. Going through everything, the whole car dealership talk quickly in what I still thought was uncomfortable we were finally told that they couldn't sell to us because I had a license and I started work at a government job in another state. My son happens to go to school in the state of Pennsylvania. Not that far from the dealerahip.I've never in my life heard of such a thing. Bought my Subaru in a different state and drove it across country. While I was on the road I called in to make a service appointment, from the call in to make the appointment to the pick up after servicing my experience was amazing. I called and changed my appointment last minute and was still able to get a loaner. Everyone was really professional and friendly. I got my car back like new and the prices were reasonable. Also wanted to give an extra kudos to CORI ECKMAN fantastic customer service! I will definitely be back for all of my service needs and to purchase! I bought my Subaru last year (not from this location). 3 weeks ago, I came out and my car would not start. I live in Philadelphia, but I was out in Allentown. So Subaru roadside towed me to the nearest dealer. Ok fine. I couldn't wait for the tow since I had to go to work but called to confirm the next morning. Wish I had taken her name, but I told the worker who answered that I had been to there because my car would not start. I also told her that I needed a safety inspection, oil change, etc. she said OK great I'm taking that down and I'll let the service department know. A week later I got a voicemail from them asking me to return the call regarding my car. I called back and was told oh I don't know why they called you. Maybe it was to confirm your appointment because our next appointment is two weeks out I said I don't have an appointment. I was told there yesterday because my car died. I spoke to employee yesterday and told her what was going on. He said OK we're really busy and shortstaffed so we probably won't get to look at it for another week. A week later I called to check on the status of my car. Hadn't been looked at. The next week, and this is now three weeks in total that I haven't had my car, I called again to see if there is an update. The lady said they would have to call me back probably today or tomorrow, so I got a call back and they say yeah we were calling because we wanted to know what the car was here for. I'm like I called when I got it towed there and spoke to somebody and told them what the issue was with the car why I got it towed there. She said oh well we don't have any record of you here I'll take down your information. When I said to her, I have already given all this information to another staff member why it why hasn't anybody called if you were confused about why my car was on your property? Her response was well, It's been a while, and people have been quitting, so maybe it's somebody that quit. So long story short my car is still at the dealership, I'm still spending $40 a day to Uber back-and-forth to work. do not recommend. read more

Do not make any service appointments online. You can get confirmation emails and even call to confirm, but when you go that day the have no record of your appointment. They also make zero effort to rectify the situation. I took the day off to have recall work done and 2as turned away because they were down a technician. Showing them my confirmation email got me no further. This wasted both my time and gas money which I obviously not important to them. Very poor service is my review. Not even an I'm sorry. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. JIM sold us a car last week, and we took it to our mechanic to check it over for us. He said the front 2 tires had DRY ROT and we should NEVER have been allowed to drive it. We took it to Mavis tires for a 2nd opinion and they Saif the same thing. UNSAFE TO DRIVE . When we told Faulkner, the service manager told the GM that the tires " were fine" and they refuse to give us a refund on the new tires we had to buy. These people are SCAMMERS selling UNSAFE CARS . I purchased a certified Subaru at full asking price with the simple request that the roof rack that came with the vehicle be installed prior to purchase. Following the purchase, I came out to a non-detailed car with the roof rack still in the box that I purchased. Steve Miller was incredibly condescending and domineering until my husband approached. Following insisting that the promised roof rack be installed, it took 20 min. Steve had previously attempted to dissuade me by saying it would take a minimum of 1.5 hrs. Never will I go back. We purchased a Subaru Outback from Faulkner Subaru in Bethlehem PA. Good sales experience, our Sales Person (Sean) was very knowledgeable and patient. Sean would not let us pull away until he covered all the features on the car. The dealership was not flexible with the pricing but did not add any drama into the negotiation either. Update to last review: even though Faulkner never called me to address my concerns, they continued to write me asking if I wanted to bring my car in for routine service. I again replied to one of these emails reiterating my past experience. I relayed my disappointment in not ever hearing from the elusive Ruslan - 7 months later. At this point I asked to speak with the service manager. Well, that was on July 8, 2020. It's now August 25, 2020, and that email is unanswered. I never received a call from Ruslan, the service manager or anyone else at Faulkner. I guess they're only interested in the positive feedback. I am really deeply disappointed in Faulkner and Subaru. I can't say that I've had a good experience with Faulkner. I purchased my car at Glanzman in Jenkintown and highly recommend that dealership, but I now live in Bethlehem. As for Faulkner, I called over the summer for an emergency appointment because I could tell something was up with my brakes and I was leaving within a few days for a 14 hour round trip car ride (which I told them). They told me the soonest appointment was in 3 weeks. When I said that was not possible and I would have to go somewhere else, I was told not to wait too long to call back because it was sure to be even longer before another appointment was available. That was in July and I haven't been back since. I found a local, trustworthy shop in Allentown that I've been using with great satisfaction. Just the other day I received a "where have you been...you're due for service" email. I decided to reply with my story. I received a standard apology and assurance that somwould call me to follow up. That was Monday - it's now Friday afternoon and no call. But I still got another email asking if they should call to set up a service appointment. I realize I'm just one poor rating with many positive ones, but I am really disappointed and not inclined to use or recommend this dealership. Faulkner Subaru in Bethlehem sells cars well enough and that part of the process was great, but God Forbid you have an issue because the service center there doesn't know how to fix them. After taking our money for a $600 fuel pump "fix," they presented us back with a car that didn't start. Now they are telling us we need a new battery. When we brought it there, the battery was tested and working fine, but now we're the ones that have to pay to get it replaced when clearly they were the ones who killed it. Making matters worse, they admitted they do not know much about Audis, but this was after they took our $600! We're between a rock and a hard place because the car is stuck at their dealership and we'd have to pay to have it towed elsewhere. At this point they are just "guessing" what might be wrong. I stopped in for a an oil change and my car was taken right away. My service was done quickly while I waited and then was pleasantly surprised to see that my car was also washed free of charge. I was also greeted and treated without bias which typically doesn't happen when a woman does business at a car dealership. BUYER BEWARE - When we helped purchase our daughters Subaru, we expressly asked if it had been serviced. The salesman assured us that they would never put a car on the lot without first being serviced. We were told we could pick up the car the next day when we came back with the title for the trade in. When we got home, my daughter noticed that the inspection sticker on the car (in photo) was expired. We called and asked why it hadn't been inspected. The manager said the salesman was incorrect, that they service the cars after the sale. We told him that this didn't make any sense because they wouldn't know how much they have into the car with service in order to get a sales price. He laughed at us, like we were idiots, telling us this is how they do it. We asked why their sales people weren't trained properly. He said he would talk to him. Didn't help us tho. He said they would service it the next day. Next day came and it was not done. Then we were told it would be done the next day, and it wasn't. We explained our frustration that we would now have to wait a week as we were going on vacation. They didn't care. Told us we didn't have to buy the car, somebody else would. We finally got the car a week later. After 1,000 miles, the oil light came on. Car was a whole quart low. There was also no windshield fluid in the car. How do they service a car and not fill the fluids. They told us they had done a complete oil change. We trusted them again. We were lied to, treated like idiots, were not respected as patrons, and given a car that wasn't processed correctly. What would have happened if we hadn't seen the sticker? Would they have given us a car that hadn't been serviced? They say not, but we will really never know. Going back to Honda for the next car where I have always just driven it off the lot after picking it out, and it was serviced. Totally unhappy. read more

Three days later on the day of delivery they called me saying that they in fact could not get the car that they had promised even though I had already put a down payment on it and they had also run my credit. Took my car in for an oil change and the paint to be looked at due to bubbling. They called about the paint and said a regional manager would be in to look at the car within the next few weeks and they would call me. This was 3 months ago and still no call, I have given up hope on ever getting one. Then I noticed the oil change sticker was never changed and they in fact forgot to change the oil at all. This was more then annoying. I take my car in to get it's service done with the few time I have due to work and they mess that up. Had to wait another month and another time 1,000 miles before the oil was changed. Also what did I get for them forgetting? An apology saying sorry we are just so busy. Took our 2013 KIA Sorento in to trade in..we were ready to buy. KBB value was approx. $11000-13000. Faulkner lowballed us at $8500. Granted there were 91000 miles but car was in good shape, almost new tires, with a few minor scratches which was factored in to KBB value. Four messages left for our salesman, Jack, seeking a compromise went unanswered. Sadly for this dealership, we took our car to another Subaru dealer today & got a trade of $14000 & drove away with our new Subaru Legacy Limited. I bought 2 cars from fauclkner Subaru in Sept 2016. I paid cash for both cars. I drove the Subaru til Dec. and then the transmission stopped. My mechanic told me the transmission was fried. He also informed me that this transmission had to be in this shape when I bought the car and that they fauclkner had to have known as this car was only ever serviced by them. Fauclkner is refusing to help in any way to repair this car. Be very careful purchasing anything from them. I have filed a complaint with the Atty. General in Pa. This dealership has been nothing but a pain since the first day we ever took our car here.. we have spent thousands of dollars here in repairs to our car to ensure that we could get a warranty for all of this costly work we have had done.. a piece failed in the engine, so we brought it back, (less than a year later) and they refused to honor the warranty. We ended up paying for the second repair, and I picked the car back up. After paying them thousands of dollars, you would think that they would even just rinse the car off.. but no.. it came in clean and left absolutely filthy (every other dealership I have ever been to does at least a quick rinse) It looked as if someone had taken it for a joy ride through a muddy field, with mud on the car, in the foot wells, and on the seats. I began to drive the car home, only to have to pull over, because the hood wasn't closed..Our loaner car that we got while the car was in for service was absolutely filthy, we couldn't see out the windows, and couldn't clean them, because the car didn't have any windshield wiper fluid in it... I am SEVERELY disappointed in this dealership, and being a big name, I would have expected more. I would not tell anyone to ever purchase a car or get repairs done here from now on, I will be taking my business and friends/family anywhere else. Car Buyers BEWARE! My wife and I came very close to purchasing a Crosstrek that we really liked from Faulkner Subaru...until they tried to scam us! The sales woman asked for my signature, as a sign of good intent, that if they could meet our terms we'd purchase the car. Then, she retreated to the manager's office, returned with an offer that came close to matching our terms...so we approved. She returned to the manager's office and, a few minutes later, sheepishly came back to inform us that the manager made a $2000 error in his calculations and, although they shaved the price of the car and increased the trade-in amount for ours, our monthly payments would increase slightly. At first it seemed insignificant, then I did the math and it resulted in an increase of $1300. SCAM! Is this the trick they play on everyone? An obvious case of bate and switch. the Faulker dealership service has been the worst experience since owning Subarua in the last 15 years!! The initial service appointment was confirmed over the phone, but not confirmed in there system. When I called them to confirm the appointment, they did not have it in their system. A simple oil change and tire rotation took more than an hour! After the multi-point inspection, they noticed a bulb needing replacement , some crud on the electrodes to the battery, and the brake pads needing some cleaning. I agreed to have those items tended to. After an hour of further waiting, they claimed to need to remove my battery to replace a bulb on the drivers side. I have replaced bulbs on my own, and this has never been the case! I insisted that I had to leave, and they said the car wouldn't start!!! They killed my battery! Just an hour ago, the service team went over the under hood check up, and there was no problem with the battery amperage. There were no indications since my last service at the Limerick Subaru Service center 4 months prior, or on my own, that there were any problems with my battery. Only after two hours after being at the Faulker Subaru service center, my battery wont hold a charge. I will drive over the border to NJ to have my car serviced from now on. I have been involved with a family of auto savvy auto racing and high performance engineers, and all of them said this is BS, and suspect. I have replaced the headlight, running light bulbs in my car for many years on my own, and never had to take out the battery to do it. read more

I visited this dealership about 10 years ago and I had a terrible experience. The sales person had no idea what he was selling and I had a high pressure sales pitch from a manager. I was hesitant about contacting them again. My experience was totally different this time. I submitted an internet request and I was contacted promptly. Dylan arranged for the test driving of two cars that I was interested in purchasing. He knows the cars and was able to share his knowledge about both cars. Great experience with the team this time!!! Low pressure-great communication and a positive buying experience. I highly recommend working with Dylan and the finance manager Kyle. My car was detailed and Dylan spent time going through all of the settings and options with the car. Full tank of gas- summer and winter car mats too. During these uncertain times with COVID, the dealership takes safety precautions seriously. Ask for Dylan and Kyle for a positive buying experience. read more

As of now, I am giving this place 1 star unless someone actually CALLS ME BACK to deal with my problem. We bought a 2010 Subaru Forester at the end of August. During that time we had an issue with Faulkner with not refunding us our GAP payment of $800 (we got a better deal with our Credit Union). It took 4 phone calls and a visit in person to finally get our check 30 days later. By the way, no one ever called me back during this incident. I left 3 messages over the span of 2 weeks and finally insisted on speaking with the manager who arranged to have the check waiting for us the following Monday. When we got there, no check. They said it was already in the mail. We demanded they cut us a check right then and there. Fast forward to late October, our car is running funny. Call once to make an appointment and they have no openings for 3 weeks. November, car runs worse, call Faulkner, no opening until Dec 5th. Take it to our local mechanic, he says it's the transmission, and we should see if Faulkner will honor the warranty. I call Faulkner a few times, finally get through to a human being they call an "advisor". He couldn't be more apathetic. Regardless, I tell him the issue. He says if they honor the warranty it will be 50/50 split, but it's up to the manager whether he wants to honor it. Says manager is out of office that day, will call me tomorrow. That was Tuesday 11/22. As of 11/28, no one has called me. My local mechanic calls today and says it is DEFINITELY the transmission and this is going to cost me $7000. Now, we haven't even had this car for 90 days yet. I call to speak to a manager at Faulkner, once again I get a voicemail. Leave a message, no one calls back. I had AAA tow it there and we plan on going in person to speak with someone tonight. The problem with Faulkner is that NO ONE CALLS YOU BACK - EVER. If you have a problem, you have to go there in person and demand to speak with a human being. This is a terrible way to do business, and frustrates your customers. I'm sure they've had more than one angry encounter in their sales office. I am very disappointed because 1 - I think they sold me a car with a bad transmission and 2 - I was hoping I would have a good experience with them because we like the Subaru, we want to buy another Subaru in a couple of years when our back-up car finally dies out. But now, I have NO FAITH IN FAULKNER. If they honor the warranty and take care of this issue, I will come back and update this for a better review. But right now, my advice is stay away from Faulkner. UPDATE 12/24/16: I am updating my review to 4 stars. Once I had the vehicle towed there, the advisor John contacted me. I told him the situation. John was sympathetic and very good at keeping in contact with us and returning calls when he said he would. After the vehicle was inspected and they saw the transmission was bad, the Sales Manager agreed to honor the warranty. So they paid half and we paid half. It took several weeks for them to receive the transmission, but in the interim they offered us a loaner car. That was great, since my husband drives 50miles each way to work. We got our car back within a few weeks and it is running well, and we have a 2 year warranty on the parts and labor. I also received a call from the General Manager and we discussed our situation. He also addressed and acknowledged a problem we had had with a previous employee of theirs. He left his name and direct number should we have any problems or need to discuss anything. So I am happy with the way they handled our problem in the end. read more

Bought a used 2006 Forester on 9/31 for my daughter. Had to bring the car back 2 days later because it was spraying coolant. It needed a radiator replacement and they replaced it quickly and with no problem. The reason for the 3 star review is because they had my car for over a week but did not communicate at all. The guy who showed us a few cars may have sensed my indecision towards getting a subaru, so I was denied a test drive - "until I was ready to buy a car." Moreover, I had a snag with a crack in my windshield. It's a new part and hard to acquire. Even so, they moved heaven and Earth to get the part in quickly and installed it within a day. Buyer Beware! This dealer has cars listed on their website that don't exist. Salespeople respond that they "just sold it yesterday" when you ask about what looks like a good deal on the website. Use extreme caution. I had a 2013 that had the engine half block replaced at 45000 now have a 2016 should have learned MY lesson. Questioned cvt tranny months ago told by service manager that they installed a download to fix it no way drove it and questioned it again and was told Subaru extended the warranty to 100,000 mi. Called Subaru and no way they extended it. Took it back to Faulkner and was told that a Subaru engineer said it was ok after only putting ten miles. They had a clear definition of what car is doing. The reponce was let Subaru deal with it. Never again and the rest of the family agrees. we have 4 of them now... Go cars but Faulkner lies and I have the reports to prove it. Once you have a car from them you are no longer their concern obviously. Foot off accelerator it slowdown. Was told by service manager it should glide not hold back. Has a rumble at low speeds due to going into over drive at 30 to 45 Was told I have a light foot and I create the issue.. I bought a used truck 10 months ago. First, they didn't follow up on a very small part I asked them to buy and install as part of my purchase deal. Then, when I took it for inspection this past Saturday, the exhaust pipe was rusted thru and snapped in two. The difference in sound from day one to today is like trading in a lion for a kitten. I am amazed and quite fortunate that, despite it passing inspection at the dealership prior to my purchase with that faulty exhaust, I survived driving it that way for the last 10 months without killing myself or others.
