Honestly have had the worst experience with these people. First of all, customer service is not the expertise here. I had a sudden issue with my car and brought it into the closest spot to me, had good reviews so I figured I was in the clear. They had my car for a few days and then when I called them (yes, they didn't even call me to update) they said they had no idea what I was talking about at first. My technician told me I needed a whole new engine and with a 2nd opinion that was not the issue whatsoever. They treated me like I had no clue what was going on, for a 27 year old female I felt as if they were trying to pull a fast one on me. Just not friendly or helpful people at all. Not a viable response to why the charges were over the maximum amount allowed by law for a compact vehicle tow 3 miles over one hour and why to get my car back it required a CASH ONLY payment. Again the BBB complaint has been filed. It also appears I'm not the only person taken advantage of by your company as 4 other complaint appear to have been filed as well. read more

Love this auto service center. Our low oil came on while we were traveling from Illinois to Pennsylvania so we needed an oil change ASAP. Austin's was able to accommodate us on short notice. We just had to drop the car off and they would work us in. The young woman working the desk was super friendly and knowledgeable. She even asked if we were AAA members so we could get the discount. Anyone who knows me knows that when it comes to car repair places I'm not monogamous by any means. Some of it honestly is not my fault because I truly feel that places like to bait and switch you which leads me to bounce around to multiple shops especially after I feel like I'm getting The Shaft. You know The Shaft. A place gives you great service the first few visits and then over time kind of take your business for granted where appointments get harder to make and things that they would "overlook" now suddenly become things which treated as life or death to pass inspection. It's like a casino who tries to woo your business only to try and get theirs back over time. Now I needed some work done and after having been mistreated enough by the place I had been using the past few years I figured that Austin's would be my next stop since they are close and via Internet reviews they seem well liked. The initial call was easy enough and I was slotted in two days later. I asked for three things to be done and after a few hours I got a call telling me that one of my concerns was not needed because everything still looked great and that the other two would be done right away along with the price. Nice-Clear-Simple-Easy I appreciate them not trying to grab me for something that I didn't need and that type of customer service along with the, so far, excellent work speaks for itself. I don't know if Austin's will be a keeper long term but after one visit, so far/so good. (This isn't worthy of it's own review but about a year after I wrote the above review I felt I needed to stop using Austin's for service. I had an oil change done there and not long after the low oil light came on. After adding oil I took the car to a different shop that I trust far more than Austin's and they said that the filter was never fully tightened and that oil had been splattering around inside of the engine since Austin's had the car. I spoke with Nelson and initially he refused to accept any responsibility saying that the guy who worked on my car had been there for years and would never do that. I explained to him when I had been there, told him that I would gladly show him the receipt for when I was at Austin's, the receipt from the auto parts store where I bought the oil plus the receipt with phone number from the other shop who was more than happy to go to bat for me that Austin's had screwed up. Eventually Austin gave me a half-baked apology plus he mentioned that he would consider maybe a free oil change the next time I came in but the tone of his voice said all I needed to hear in terms of not being able to trust coming here again.) read more

After trying through the State to get satisfaction, my concerns were ignored and they did nothing to honor their offer to help make it right. They ruined my vehicle after getting my money to do miscellaneous repairs prior to their negligence that blew the head gasket. I bought new tires off them, had the exhaust fixed and then they just drove the car into the ground so all that money is WASTED! In my opinion, they were unjust and inconsiderate with making me pay $200+ for the repair AND to have me purchase the replacement part. First time using them. We had a great relationship with our dealership untill that 100k warranty ran out. Getting our oil changed and they gave our breakers 100% good to go! Three weeks later they are so loud you could hear them down the block. I took it to a friend who did the work for us letting us know not only were out front and rear breaks completely shot that the rotors were as well! This man doesn't charge me as he is a friend and has no reason to lie. I will not go back there! A friend referredme to Austins I got my oil change and cabin air filter replaced. They were so fast and friendly and very affordable. I live that even though we asked that the filter be changed he came out to show us how dirty is was before replacing it! A plus!!!! I was a little skeptical of this place, only because I'm new to the area. I called and scheduled an appointment( recommended) for an oil change and my brakes. I got a call 2hrs later that my car was ready and my brakes didn't need changed. Unlike most places, they didn't nickel and dime me and instead of lying to me , they told me my brakes were fine. Which I greatly appreciated! A few days later I got a call from them to make sure everything was running OK in my car, which I've never had happen before. Needless to say I will definitely be having both of our cars serviced here from now on instead of going to corporate places. read more

If I could give a negative review, I absolutely, hands down, would. Rude, late, inconsiderate, unprofessional. Terrible, terrible experience. Since I don't see a post of my response to my review from the 'service' shop. Additionally, they need higher quality workers that maintain professionalism, lack attitude, and possess the basic human trait of honestly. As the response from 'Nelson T', who is not the owner (according to who I spoke to on the phone...and rudely hung up on me), indications are completely bogus, as were their repeated arrival time updates (allowing me to wait 2+ hours for a tire change). Save yourself the trouble and use any other garage than Austin's. Again, horrendous experience. My day was wonderful until I had to deal with this company, so the condescending remark (while expected), was again, untrue. read more

I had a horrible experience working with them over past two weeks. I had electrical issues with my vehicle and I brought it to them for that specific reason because I have went to two other shops that couldn't help they told me everything else that was wrong that and I was even willing to fix that as long as they did what I was told to have done which is CHECK MY ELECTRICAL ISSUES. They pushed my truck off a whole day of it being there and didn't call me til closing then the next day I get a call with all these other problems and I said you can fix that but then they went and fixed that issue and told me I'd have to wait the following week for them to do the diagnostic. I picked my truck up and it shut off on me while I was driving, they claim to not see the problems I'm talking about why because they drove it less then 3 miles (the excuse for that we only have 3 mechanics)Then explain that so I could have saved my money for a shop that was gonna fix my problem. Then with how upsetting it is to spend $400 and still have your life at risk because my truck completely turn off on me while I was driving thankfully I wasn't going an excessive speed who knows what would have happened. I spoke to the General Manager and he's is no better then his employees. He tried to make me feel bad because he had an emergency and couldn't fix my car by tell me his cousin committed suicide!! Honestly your horrible people and shop and I don't recommend at all!!! If you can't keep your business afloat from lack of workers or whatever reason you guys give then you should not be scheduling appt. nor telling people your gonna fix there cars!!! read more

Austin's Auto towed my car ILLEGALLY from my own property that borders a lot they monitor for a client in South Bethlehem. They trespassed onto my property to do so and charged me an outrageous amount to get my car back. NEVER TRUST THIS COMPANY for your towing or auto needs!!!! They will abuse your contract and tow whatever car they please no matter if it's on private property or not. In addition they were extremely rude to me and none of their employees were wearing masks when I entered their shop. read more
