Update Nov 2016- WE NO LONGER HAVE PARKING LOT ISSUES! They are there LAST and FIRST of the months to ensure proper tags and registrations. Very happy about the service we have gotten. As I said in my initial review "Do your part and they can't do theirs". Clearly people don't heed warnings and whine about it later. Quit breaking the law and parking illegally and you'll be fine. KEEP IT UP GUYS!!!!!!! David.R read more

HORRIBLE! Towed my vehicle, I called and they would not tell me the location of the car, said call back the next day. Next day I started calling at 10 they said call back at 11 but gave me a 2:30 appointment to retrieve the car. Called back at 11 no answer until 11:15. She said I'm just a dispatcher you have a 2:30 appointment to pick up the car and you will get a text with instructions and fees. An hour later, no text . Called back oh it can take up to 30 minutes to get the text. Called back, oh I'll let the manager know you called. Mind you they close at 4. They are trying to keep the car and increase the fees I have to pay. Beware! read more

They towed my car where there were no signs. They claimed it was a fire lane. I had to call the police to find who took my car. Police gave me the number and I called. Police receommended to write a letter and get receipt to give to the landlord due to illegal signage. First no one picked up. Second ring a man picked up and send my driver will call me in a few. Driver does not call, after 30min later we call again. The man picked up and said the same thing. They would not provide an address of where my car is located when I called. Third call a woman picks up and said your driver is on there way and will be there in 30min. 30min go by and still no car. I call again the women says your driver had to change a spare tire on the way. An hour and a half goes by and the same women who I was speaking with on the phone was the driver in the tow truck. The woman said they only accept cash, money order, or certified bank check. We gave her $355 and asked receipt. She provided no receipt and said we will get a digital receipt the next morning. I call again the next morning and they said I will get my receipt in a few. I received my receipt close to noon the next day. The receipt requires my signature which they don't have, which says that I received my car in good condition. This was an awful experience and the women tow truck driver claims they put signs up when they are notified they are down. My sister has lived in that complex for 5 years there has never been a sign for fire lane! read more

they come to our apartments parking and take my car for "inspection" of two days. and we have to pay $355 for my car back. And the receipt say for private property instead of inspectio. Check the receipt before you leaving their parking (it's a suspicious place) read more

Predatory towing practice that targets foreigners. Screwed over the wrong ones this time. Tried to haul my father in laws car away when he was waiting for his daughter to get out of laundry mat, got it all on tape, will be dragging this scum to court, gave them chances to fix it, and instead the driver kept changing their story and excuses. This will be their last time screwing anyone over. Also to add we are checking our vehicle to make sure nothing was stolen or damaged. Tow driver took the vehicle to their house and not the impound lot.. sketchy read more

They are the worst( minus 5),battery went dead in bethlehem, called Commonwealth Towing 4 1/2 hours later they came forced to wait in the rain, the guy says he cannot tow it,he doesn't have right equipment he jumped car, on i went. God help the out of town Lehigh university students should they need a tow. City of Bethlehem should review there permit. With this many Not Good 1 stars, all these people can't be wrong? read more

The most shady business I've ever dealt with. I called about 17/20 times. Both dispatchers refused to give me an address and the lady was extremely rude. It took me having to contact the police and have an officer talk to them for them to give me the address. So here is the address for those who get their car towed by these people. They are also called cars towing not commonwealth 717 yeates at Bethlehem read more

terrible compan, I mean the absolute worst if I could sue them I would. They kept saying 15 min the tow truck would be there but would take an hour long to arrive read more

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I lived in Easton almost 5 years now, going to the same smoke shop / cosmo prof. I swear this guys was in the parking lot just stalking because I legit got to cosmo, my car was outside not even 2 MINUTES, he came in screamed in who's car is this I ran and it was already hooked up. Literally freaking 2 minutes in the store, this NEVER HAPPENED TO me! first they wanted to charge 250, then lowered it down to 200, if I didn't pay it'll be 380 at the lot ? What the actual f. I should've called the cops man , I get it shouldn't have parked there but AGAIN I DO IT ALL THE TIME AND IM IN AND OUT THE STORE IN LESS than 3 -5mins. The guy took my money , gave me NO RECEIPT AND DROVE OFF! Mind you there were 5 other cars parked right behind me. IM SO LIVID, I pleaded to let my car go to not even be there for freaking more than two minutes is what's bugging the hell out of me , I do not work to just throw my money. VERY UNFAIR , and trust me KARMA WILL COME AROUND KNOCKING. When I called the guy on the phone was rude. He did not give a crap , reading all these comments they are a HUGE SCAM, and I will be calling the cops and filling a report. I want my money back you guys shouldn't even be able to operate a business. Unprofessional af read more

They kept telling me my tow truck would be there in 15 minutes but after an hour and a half I had urgently called them and they said another 15 minutes then they canceled my truck you could definitely see unprofessionalism and perhaps a bit of racism from the office staff whoever the man is on the phone read more

Insanely unprofessional "business" if you can even call it that. Their building has no signage, no prices shown. I was charged tons of ridiculous fees to which I cannot even explain what they were for since I was refused an itemized list of exactly what I was paying for. When I demanded a list of these fees the "employees" refused and sped off. When I finally just gave in and paid the ridiculously high cost to have my car released, they didn't even ask for anything to prove I was the vehicle's owner. This "business" also has no website or any trace of them on Google, and accepts payment through cash, just handed to them and pocketed. No receipt or documentation provided. I was also hung up on by an employee when I asked for a breakdown of all the fees I was expected to pay. Insanely unprofessional and inappropriate business practices, highly unethical and extremely shady. read more

Beware! Company is a group of scammers and thieves. They "claimed" that they had a call to tow my car today. Unfortunately, after a great deal of research that was not the case. Made me stand outside in the snow and rain for 30 minutes while I waited for them to show up to the lot to claim my car. Stated that they needed $330 cash after I arrived to claim my car. Extremely rude, arrogant and unprofessional. What they are doing to to the people of Easton is against the law and I will not let this rest. If your car happens to get towed by these people call the cops first before you pay them anything. By law they are not allowed to demand cash. read more

The owner Joe was great to work with. He went above and beyond to recover my car. He towed it right away and walked me through step by step. He prepped it for shipping and just went out of his way to help me in my situation. Thankful for his kindness and generosity. read more

Driver said he wouldn't wreck his truck towing my car which was in my drive way.Not sure why he said that because my driveway is flat and 25 feet wide.Maybe because I bothered him while he was sitting up the street from my house eating a pizza instead of actually trying to tow my car to a service station. When he did pull up to my driveway his attitude sucked to the point I didn't want him towing my car.So I told him I would get somebody else .When I called the company to complain about him I was told that he was sitting in his truck trying to contact me for half an hour but my phone was busy.I checked my security cameras and he was sitting for 2 minutes when I happened to walk out to my car to get insurance papers out of it then I saw the truck.Got another company the guy had my car on the roll back in 15 minutes just like a true professional. read more

Parked in an unclearly marked lot for less than 5 minutes and came back to my car being hooked up to the tow truck. When I pleaded for them to stop hooking up my car he said he could not because he was already here. He said, "I'll stop for $275 cash." He would not wait while I found an ATM and said "if you don't have the money now it's $300 at my lot." When I asked where his lot was he pointed and said "over there" (the lot was actually about 10 minutes away from where he took my car). He then gave me a business card WITH NO ADDRESS. He left me in a parking lot on the South Side of Bethlehem with no way to get home and suggested I walked to find an ATM. read more

Great service from these guys. I was in need of a tow, and they picked me up within ten minutes, and dropped off my car for a very reasonable price. I'd love to never require a tow again, but if I do, I'm definitely calling them. read more

The worst and most unreliable company I have come across in a long time. My roadside assistance company contracts with them I'm assuming so when I needed to have to my car towed due to the battery dying - almost 3 hours later and I am still waiting. They said 90 min when they scheduled with my roadside assistance company. Still sitting here waiting.....do yourself a favor and do not call them. read more

We parked our car for 10 minutes in a lot that had no signage to load it with our 4-ways on in Easton. We came out immediately to our car up in the lift and ready to go. There were a couple of guys standing there smoking cigarettes (highly unprofessional) and all they said was "$200 to drop it". In desperate need for our vehicle, we handed it over and I asked for a receipt and they said they would give it to me after they dropped the car. They got in the truck, dropped it and drove away. No receipt. No nothing. I need a receipt for reimbursement and I've called a handful of times and they keep saying they are going to have their boss call me. I've received NOTHING and the men who were involved probably pocketed the $200, which is illegal. read more

This company is the definition of predatory towing. Less than 10 minutes of picking up my to-go food they grabbed my car from across the street from the restaurant. They were stalking the empty lot and waiting to prey on people. Charged me $375 to get my car back that was in a lot around smashed up cars in a bad neighborhood. These people are scammers. The business that is affiliated should be ashamed to use them. Note: I had to pick a star. I would have given them none. read more

DO NOT use this towing company! I had a flat tire and no spare so I needed to have my car towed to a car repair shop in Whitehall. First of all, the guy called me asking why I am I needing service like I was bothering him. Then he wanted me to drive my car onto the back of his flatbed! I couldn't hear or see what he wanted me to do. After he did it himself (like he was supposed to in the first place) he told me "See it's as simple as that!" I'm sorry, but I'm not doing your job for you. I will be reporting this to my car insurance hopefully they stop using this place for service. read more

Got towed at 11pm in Easton after Garlicfest and wasn't allowed to recover it until the next morning (hence we live an hour away). Then when we arrived we had to wait over an hour for an employee to arrive to release the vehicle. Disgusting service. This company has dirty, unprofessional individuals working for them. When they towed my car. The driver smelled of alcohol, looked and smelled dirty. I had to get a ride in the truck. It smelled of cigarettes, alcohol and was extremely dirty. I asked the driver why i smelled alcohol, he was rude, and told me to worry about myself. That the smell must of been from me, cuz he picked me up at a bar. What he didn't realize was, i waitressed there, i was not a patron. He then told me he accepted tips for his services, and i laughed. Im reporting this company to the BBB, Allentown/Bethlehem city and police. Commonwealth Asset Recovery Services - Dirty, nasty greasy, smelly tow truck driver!!!! - Towing Near Me

Unfortunately I have been waiting for over 2 hours for a tow truck. They said 90 minutes and when I directly contacted the tow company they were unprofessional and didn't seem to care. The woman on the phone was hard to hear due to many loud children in the background. Safeco is a joke and they should be ashamed of the associated companies. read more

Commonwealth Asset Recovery was sent through the roadside assistance I receive through my insurance. They were advised I needed a flatbed and that the vehicle WAS NOT to be started as it had starter issues. Why my insurance company would send a REPO company (which are known for purposely being destructive with vehicles) at all is beyond me. The tow guy not only DID NOT bring a flatbed, but cussed at me when I asked him repeatedly NOT to start the vehicle, but then forced the ignition and hit the gas so hard it blew my engine. He then left myself and friend stranded there, AND billed my insurance, saying I was not there when he arrived. $4500+ damages to my vehicle, 4 weeks later and they and Agero, the roadside assistance company my insurance company outsources to, have not resolved the issue. You'd think the insurance fraud alone (billing with a fraudulent claim I wasn't there) would be enough to make this a matter of importance to insurance or Agero. Stay far away from Commonwealth Asset Recovery. Not only will they destroy your car and leave you stranded, their workers are the type of people you know batter women and kick dogs. That's the vibe he gave off. read more

these people couldn't be more unprofessional if they tried. its a 3 person operation an not a one has any common sense(or balls as i found out). if you ever have to deal with this company, just be prepared to go hands on and protect yourself. this asshat was spitting as he yelled at my wife. i believe in Karma. everybody gets their say? to be clear this was an Altoona PA location. im sure everybody doesnt act like a toddler . read more

In September of 2014, I hit a deer at 12:45 pm on a Friday...I killed the deer and damaged my Mercedes. At the time, I was moving and had things in my car to move. At the scene, and after the towed my car, I told them in person and again on the phone, that I wanted my car locked because I had valuables inside. I went there on the following Tuesday, a few days after the accident, and found that my car wasn't in the locked impound lot, but was next to their house, and unlocked. It took me 20 minutes to get someone's attention. Meanwhile, I was taking things out of my car that I needed. My keys were on the console of my car, open. I complained about it to the tow truck driver's brother, then locked it. The following Monday, I met the adjuster at my car...it had been moved into the locked impound yard, and the car was locked. The adjuster totaled my car. I was told that afternoon by the chief adjuster in Ohio that my car was being towed on Friday morning, and I had until then to get my belongings out of the car. Thursday, I called C.A.R.S. to get in to the impound lot and get my belongings, and my car was already towed on Wednesday morning. I called the chief adjuster, who was surprised that it was towed early, and she called me back to tell me who had it and where...she also called them and told them not to touch anything because it was mine. When I got there, the company told me that C.A.R.S. had the car unlocked, on the street, with the keys in the ignition from Tuesday night until when it was picked up on Wednesday morning at 7 am. There was $1,500+ stolen from my car before it was towed...tools, personal items and two TV remotes. I had to take them to court for their mishandling of my car and the theft that resulted. What a bunch of idiots. read more

Don't ever get your car towed by them. So the other night I called for a tow the driver came and picked up my car was supposed to take it to a garage that I chose. The driver took my car to the garage parked it on the street instead of in their lot and because he couldn't get my key out of the ignition decided to just leave my window down with the key in the ignition overnight on the street. Not a very professional way to do business. I called the tow truck driver to try to discuss with him he hung up on me I've been waiting for the owner to contact me back still no answer. The dispatcher seems to think this is all my fault and doesn't want to help me either. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone and then when you call the phone it sounds like I don't even know what they don't even say the business name they just say hello didn't even know if I was calling the right place. I had my vehicle towed by this company for what they said was parked on private property. When I called to get my vehicle back I explained to them that I was not parked on private property, I was parked on city property. When asked if they towed for the city their response was no. I asked them why then would they tow a car when it wasn't in fact parked on private property, but of course they all place blame on each other. "Oh I wasn't the one that towed you", or "I don't know, I was just told to come let you get your car." I showed pictures of where I was parked to prove that there was NOT ONE private parking sign anywhere near my car. I emailed Jess E a VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL email....I would have expected the same respect in a reply, instead I DIDN'T EVEN GET A RESPONSE. Completely ignored my requests, or an explanation as to why they towed my car without good reason. I don't even know why I'm writing this review because it's not like it will matter, but MAYBE some half wit that works at this company will read this, since my email apparently was disregarded. Even if I wanted to tow someone I would never call this company because the last thing I want them to get is another cent out of someone. read more

These guys were heroes on Saturday, 2/10/18! My van broke down 8 hours from home with myself, my daughter and two show dogs headed to Westminster for the dog show. They towed us to their shop, ran a diagnostic on my van, found the problem, tried to find out if it was a recall/warranty issue, tried to get the part and then, when they found out it would be two days to get the part, figured out a way to get us to our hotel which was still 1.5 hours away with the van, luggage and dogs with minimal out-of-pocket. Additionally, when the dealership was unable/unwilling to work with us to get us back to KY in a timely manner, they worked with my husband (via phone from KY) to try and find a local mechanic or get it back to them. I was super stressed but they worked with me to get things figured out and made sure my daughter got to the hotel in time to get rested for a presentation she had to make at 9am for the Road Scholar Program with the dogs in NYC the next morning. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and assistance. read more

When we got to the Valero where they said there was an arm, we found the gas station closed and they took off with my car!!! I walked about 6 blocks and after calling and getting into and argument with the manager I turned to the police and they refuse to do anything.
