While other auto shops require a fee for evaluation, Dave's automotive provided it free and even wrote up a very thorough inspection of my suspension. While I did not need to fix the findings immediately, I feel good about utilizing Dave's in the future. Another plus is how nice and upbeat everyone is from pick up/send back service to the service specialist. That speaks volume to the business when their employees are noticeably happy!

He was great to work with, he helped me to understand my options particularly given my car's advanced age, and his prices were very competitive. First and last time I'll be taking my vehicle here or recommending anyone to have their vehicle serviced here. Jeff passed my vehicle for emissions but failed me for the State Inspection. Didn't charge me for the Inspection (hence the two stars). The reason for the failure was that the speed rating for one of the tires didn't match the other three and below the rating that the vehicle called for. I called the shop where the replacement tire came from and they couldn't find anything in the PA State Inspection manual that would warrant a failure of inspection due to a tires speed rating. I double checked it myself and couldn't find what Jeff was referring to and Jeff didn't produce it either. Jeff didn't offer to replace the tire in question, just offered for me to go to another shop that would pass me. Failing for personal reasons and not according to the PA Inspection code isn't ethical. The other shop was willing to pass me where the 4th tire was purchased, just a hassle to have to go through all of this.

It took them several trys to install it, but it is completely understandable and I don't hold it against them. (The update was so new, they had to download it from GM, and they had never performed one before) The techs and staff were very accommodating and the waiting area was comfortable and spacious. I actually did enjoy my time there. I bought the car there two weeks before, and my experience was great. My salesman got me the car I wanted at the monthly payments I was willing to make. I didn't think they would be able to get me the deal, but they bent over backwards for me. This is actually the second car I've bought there. When it comes time for the third, I'll definitely be going back to Wind Gap Chevrolet.
