However, when I got home and looked more closely at the invoice, I saw they charged me for tire balance at $24.99 per tire ($99.96 total). I called the store and the manager Israr told me at Mavis, tire balancing is not included in the tire installation package. This is outrageous and I am not happy at all. When checking out, I asked him if tire balance is included in the installation package, and he said yes but now I got charged for it. I chose to shop with you guys because I can have the alignment done at the same time, but because of this charge, I will go back to Costco next time for my future tire purchase and service. I usually go to Nissan for all of my maintenance because I get free oil changes. This time I wanted to try a different shop because the dealership I go to is in Feasterville-Trevose so any type of car maintenance is very time consuming. I saw Safari had good reviews and was right done the street from me so I figured I would check them out. Not only was I able to get an appointment the same day, I was also able to get one 45 minutes after I called! Once I got there I was told it would need brake pads and rotors so it would take a couple hours. It didn't take that long! I also had an issue with one of my TPMS sensors and they were able to take care of that as well. As I was checking out, I decided to ask Alan about my other car. It is rear wheel drive so I normally don't drive it in the winter. Last winter I didn't drive it enough so the battery ended up dying. I was looking into investing into a battery tender, but I was not sure if that would be the best option for me. Alan gave me great advice so other car should start right up when the weather gets warmer. My experience at Safari Automotive Service was awesome! You go to these big dealerships, have an appointment, but spend hours there when you have other things to do. It's ridiculous! Safari got me in and out and was able to give me useful information about both of my vehicles. As far as value goes...you gotta pay to play. Cars are expensive and require routine maintenance in order to keep them running on the road. The staff were friendly and honest which is a breath of fresh air. Sometimes shops try to take advantage of people, but I didn't feel that way with Safari. Another bonus about Safari Automotive Service is that they do auto detailing. Brought my…read morecar in for inspection, passed, went to leave the lot, I hear clicking when my tires rotate, I immediately pull over to find what I know for sure and have a photo of is a T30 screw and washer the exact kind and color that hold my heat shield on. Didn't even get out of the lot I back up and inform the assistant manager John that I think they ran over some hardware while it was in the shop and he went out and look at my tire and said "that's a Phillips head and I don't have a single one of those in my shop" (I am a fabricator and I've never seen a shop without the most common screw in the world not to mention that's not even what was in my tire) I then told him I already looked at it and I know that's not what it was and I asked if I could get it put on the lift. He got increasingly defensive and insisted it was impossible that it could have happened in his shop instead of suggesting it could have been possible I ran something over in the parking lot which he did later (his parking lot he is responsible to keep free of debris) we exchanged some choice words, and he refused me service. I begin to put my spare on in the lot, and he comes back out and tells me to go to the mavis a mile down the road store 1389 and that they will patch my tire. I drove there and was completely flat by the time I got there and that store was extremely kind. However, sending me on the road with my pregnant wife was insane if I lost enough air I could have lost the tire in a turn. I never write poor reviews, but this was the worst customer service of my life. The only reason he found a solution was because my wife got him freaking out on video.
