It appears this is a new Yelp page, as my old review and the others previously here are nowhere to be found. Nonetheless, I just had a good experience at Faulkner Chevrolet Cadillac in Bethlehem, PA, and I don't mind writing about it. Two years ago we had a problem with the passenger side door locking mechanism not working with the key fob, and requiring manual locking/unlocking of that door only. Turned out that the assembly was worn out and needed replacement. On a 7 year old car it seemed premature to be disabled, but these things happen. The fix then was around $280 for new parts & labor. Well, the same thing happened recently to the driver's door. Hmmm. Plainly, this was either planned obsolescence or poorly engineered equipment, because two locking devices should fail at all, let alone when the car has under a hundred thousand miles. Shopped around for used parts and couldn't find any. Spoke with my local mechanic and caddy dealer and they wanted a lot more than the cost last time. Finally, contacted these guys where I purchased the CTS Sport Wagon and did the last repair. Their price had also increased, but not as much as the others. Decided to drive up to Bethlehem and get the work done. The parts were ordered before my arrival and I was in and out in about two hours, including fairly prices oil change. When I went to pay, the service advisor, David Kim, let me know he had been able to get me a lower price on the parts and thus my invoice was better than expected. Actually, it was about the same as the earlier job. Thus, in my mind I had saved about a hundred bucks on a three hundred plus dollar cost. No complaints there at all! Renewed my faith in the dealer and humanity in general. No small thing given the state of world affairs these days.

(Note - This only pertains to the Collision Center at this location and it's partially a hack job of a review as while I suppose I could have engaged them further about their shoddy work once it began to surface, I doubt that it would matter since in my personal experience most businesses are highly resistant to accepting blame/responsibility even when it's clearly their fault. This is also regarding work that got done here several years ago. Initially I let it go but since I'm in the process of getting a newer car, the old feelings are resurfacing since I'm getting quotes of $500-$1200 less than what the trade in value of the car that got the work done here should be because of the horrible condition of the paint.) I keep this simple. The car that I currently drive was involved in two accidents that were no fault of my own. One involved getting rear ended on the PA Turnpike as part of an eight car accident and the other involved some 90 year old granny t-boning me when she decided she couldn't wait any longer so she turned into moving traffic and hit me. My insurance company at the time (Progressive and I have since moved on) told me that "I could go anywhere" but that they strongly recommended that I go to one of their approved shops since them negotiating a price/the amount of work needed with a shop outside of their network would be guaranteed "to considerable time" to the time it would take to get my car back. With that fuzzy thought in my head I went to the only place in Bethlehem on their approved list, Faulkner. I don't remember how long it took each time to get the work done and quite honestly that's not even this issue. The issue is the quality of the work performed/the parts used in the repairs. The accidents required having work done on the rear bumper, front bumper, hood, front left corner panel and a lot of other things. Within a few months the hood which NEVER had a problem before now had the paint chipping off around the perimeter and the bare metal exposed which of course now has a nice spotting of exposed rust. Add to that every piece that they replaced has had issues with the paint & clear coat peeling off the car or if it's still there it's bubbling so in general it looks like complete crap. Again, these are problems that didn't exist pre-Faulkner. While I'm not auto body guy, I'm going to apply a little bit of common sense and say that if the first year I had the car the paint on the hood looked fine and then within six months of it being replaced/repaired at Faulkner things began to bubble/peel/chip off the car then I'm pretty sure that it's not an Act of God but more like a case of crap in = crap out in terms of what was done. I should also add on that after I got the car back from the repairs after accident #1 the car initially handled poorly and I got two opinions (one from a dealership and another from a non-dealer) both of which told me that I needed a rear alignment and both told me that no doubt this was something that should have been taken care of in the repair process by Faulkner and handled thru my insurance company, since my car was rear ended fairly hard, yet I got stuck taking care of it to the tune of a few hundred dollars since Faulkner told me that the two issues were unrelated/it wasn't a necessary fix. Nice. So while maybe buying a car here is a good deal based on the good reviews they have, I can tell you first hand that getting repair work done here can be a disaster and personally I would strongly recommended going somewhere else as quality is something that you're not going to get, or at least I know that I didn't, twice.

I've written a lot of reviews but I don't know what to say about this place. My elderly mother who's been a Cadillac fan for 40 years smacked up her car and ended up in the hospital. They took eight weeks to fix it and look at the picture showing how I got it back. And this was eight weeks of promising to call me back. Every excuse was utilized. We are waiting on a part, it's the holidays. Jimmy's out sick. It would've been classy to ask about my mother but forgot about that. They are completely non-responsive. And the quality of their work is poor. Do not go here pictures attached.

This is how my broken window on my car was returned back to me. I had to razor and goo gone it off myself.

Massive clouds of white smoke, collision light turned on, check engine light blinking. Thank god I made it down to FLA. I was told to take it to a nissan dealership, which I did. 8k worth if repairs needed. Fluids leaking, bushing rotted, misfirirng sparkplugs, dirty brake fluid. Apparently these idiots didn't finalize my paperwork so technically I dont own the car which made the warranty useless. So instead of spending time with my family I spent the whole trip being lied to and avoided by star auto mall. They wanted me to tow it somewhere cheaper to get it fixed or tow it back to PA for repairs. Since they were too stupid to finalize the sale and didnt want to pay for the repairs I bought another car in FLA and left their POS at the Nissan dealership

Her attitude brings a 5 star review ( we had Josh who was fantastic) like to give Josh a huge Shout Out, to a one or two star review.  When you bring your car into a dealership for work having someone that show compassion can ease the issue you are going through. When I rented the car it says I left at 8:58 Wednesday that's the time the transaction started I left at 9:30 . I brought it back at 10 am Saturday after hearing the car was fixed . We were there at 10 am and waited in line while Josh finished with a couple in front of us.  Then Josh went through what was owed and even went above and beyond recommended ways to prevent this from happening again.  I get to the check out at on the rental side and hand in my keys to Bridgette. She asks me where the car is and I said right there in the bay. She jumps up, saying oh they don't like that and ran into the shop to move the car. Right there It felt like I did something wrong. No hello , no good morning.  Then the bill came it showed 3 days rented. Which I thought was fine signed and got into my car. My wife noticed that instead of charging for 3 days I was charged for 4 and immediately went back to the counter to speak with Bridgette. She told my wife he should have been here on time if he didn't want to get charged for the extra day.   That's not a 5 star answer or experience. She was rude and condescending.

I didn't think I'd ever have to leave a review for a car sales company but the experience here…read moredeemed fitting. About a week ago we went in to get a car appraised for a potential sale to CarMax, and the rep there (Ian, I believe) did the appraisal and took photos, test drove the car, etc. He came back with an offer and said that it's good for 7 days, however because we were from out of town, we didn't have the title with us and would have to go back home to get it. Fast forward 7 days, we got a call from CarMax again letting us know something along the lines of "Hey, it's CarMax, letting you know your value expires today, are you still coming in?" To which we replied - yes, but as we were busy looking for the title and other things that come up in a week's time. We asked "will you honor the same value if we come in tomorrow? (The day after) in which CarMax responded - yes, we will hold that price for you. Fast forward and driving 90 miles later (not in the sale vehicle, by the way), we met Donny, another rep there and he helped us out. He indicated that they would need to do another appraisal and get the value of the car again, and we said fine, but we weren't sure why since nothing has changed about the car we were looking to sell. Some background information - the car we were looking to sell is typically parked in a garage. It was driven to CarMax, and then back to the garage 8 miles away, and then back to CarMax (another 8 miles) to sell. So there was a total difference of approximately 17 miles from the time it was first appraised by Ian, to the time it was getting appraised by Donny. When the offer came back, it was $2,000 less than what was supposed to be "honored." When I asked why, we were told "well it depends on the market. The prices will change." $2,000 drop in less than 24 hours? On top of that, when we provided the title and paperwork to Donny, he had mentioned something came up that the previous rep could have foresaw and told us the week prior, when we first came in. So now after all that was said and done, because of the oversight from the first rep, we wouldn't have been able to sell the car that day to begin with, so now we'd have to drive the car another 8 miles and park it, wait for the document we need, and then **potentially** drive it back to CarMax for the price to drop down even more. What I didn't understand was why this first rep told us they would honor the original value as we were coming in the next day, for them to tell us something else? That is 100% bad business, especially knowing that we were coming from out of state. CarMax KNEW all of this information because it's logged in the system, yet the same rep didn't have the integrity to come out from their office or room to tell us this. An absolute waste of time. This review would have received 0 stars if Yelp allowed it, but Donny did his best and was on the unfortunate receiving end of an agitated customer because of an unprofessional ploy from an even more unprofessional coworker of his. Shout out to Donny but shame on your colleague.
