I used to love coming here. I always ordered the chicken kabob platter, but the last two times I've had it, I've been disappointed. The flavors have definitely changed from when I first started coming here back in 2019. I can't speak for everything on the menu since I always order the same dish. They must still be doing a lot of things right because they're always busy. Unfortunately, the chicken kabob just doesn't taste like it used to when the original owner was here. The hummus is now flavorless, the chicken is still tender but lacks the same great flavor it once had, and the salad dressing is noticeably sweeter. I came back after my last disappointing visit because I thought it might have just been an off day. However, after giving it another try, both my husband and I agreed that the food really has changed. It's such a shame because this used to be one of our favorite places. I'm still holding out hope that one day the chicken kabob will taste the way it used to. read more

Been seeing this spot on IG and TikTok, so my boi and I decided to pull up, and it was fire. Food was good, the vibe inside was dope, felt like hip-hop 2000s, and the owner was great, man. Although my review is for the young lady who took our order and served us, I'm assuming it was the Fatima herself lol. She's a very beautiful girl in the face and energy, wouldv'e loved talking to her more, although her dad was present lol all respect tho. I will definitely be back to try other things and hopefully she is working again. read more

This is one of the best Mexican food places that you can find. The hype is real. On top of it, their meats are halal, so we know the quality is better than ordinary meats. During my many many many visits here, I have tried: -Asada Signature Hot Cheetos Burrito -3 Meat Burrito -Macho Man Burrito -Birria Crunch Wrap -Asada Street Tacos -Street Birria Tacos -BBQ Brisket Tacos -Double Decker Chicken Zinger Wrap -Doritos Flamin' Hot Burger -BBQ Brisket Fries -Birria Fries -Birria & Relleno Quesadilla -3 Meat Nachos I am sure I am missing some stuff that I've already tried but can't remember off of the top of my head... by now you probably get the point that I am a fan and they have mouthwatering and flavorful food. The portion sizes are ginormous and you cannot leave hungry from here and sometimes will have leftovers even if you only order a single item. I wish they had a bigger seating area. Also the ice-cream (pre packaged, not store made) selection is weird but not wonderful. I guess those are an acquired taste. If they open a location in South OC, I will go at least once a week if not more. read more

Fatima's Grill - NYC Chicken Tiki over Rice Platter - Mediterranean Near Me - Downey, California

This is the first time here, and I'll always be here, clean, very nice atmosphere, the food is amazing, I tried the beef shawarma with seasoned rice and some fatoush salad, little garlic sauce on the side, it felt even great after finishing, light on your soul, healthy & very tasty, one of the best signs I got from this place is that food fint come out as quick as you think, AND THATS A GREAT THING, It indicates that they make it fresh, and you can taste it, Also.. they have crazy ice cream & beverages selections, When I dined there was only one girl behind the register, she was very polite & helpful The only thing that I didn't like that I wish they had more places like this, I don't live in Downy, I'm aout 49 minutes away, but from now on ! Whenever I'm in town, This is my 1st choice read more

Absolutely great service. Kind people You don't find better people Centrally located Great parking too ! Excellent food So delicious

Stumbled into this bright, eclectic LA sports themed establishment on a late weekend night. Staff was friendly in taking my order. I had the standard carne asada burrito, hoping for high quality meat. Unfortunately most of the burrito consisted of rice and about half of the carne asada was made up of rubbery fat pieces. Maybe it was my bad luck ordering late at night, but I was disappointed. Perhaps their chicken options are superior. read more

I've been talking to all my coworkers about this spot since I saw it on instagram a month ago. We do concrete all over Southern California and I've waited a month to be in the area. Went today and got the Asada Quesarito. Holy moly is the most pg thing I can say. Hands down the best spot I've had in a while. I'm from San Diego and im burnt out of all the usual spots. Ali even hooked me up with a free bottle of hot sauce. I hope I get to work around here again. Will definitely be returning read more

The service was amazing! The guy was so kind and respectful even when I kept whining about the food. The food and this really isn't an exaggeration but it was one of the best things I've ever had!! The food was so delicious and good portions, I easily got full with one ball. I recommend if you're getting the birria balls to get a consume. The man was so kind that he gave me 3 when I bought 1! The ambiance of the restaurant was definitely more of the outgoing side. The look inside the restaurant was giving me tattoo shop vibes and I was totally down for it! 10/10 I'm for sure coming back! read more

The food was, at best, mediocre. It lacked proper seasoning, and for $25, I expected much better. The burrito was mostly rice with very little filling, which was disappointing. To make matters worse, they even tried to charge extra for a tiny cup of green salsa. Overall, it's definitely not worth the hype.not sure about the other items but the Chile Relleno Burrito (WITH MEAT) was a 3/10 for flavor and 0/10 for value. Chile Relleno was not fried in egg batter either. Very disappointing experience. read more

Customer service is the foundation of any business, and this place failed completely. My wife and I had an awful experience tonight. Yes, it's Christmas, but if a business chooses to stay open, staff should act professionally, not rude and dismissive. All I asked for was a receipt I forgot to grab after paying. Instead of helping, the front counter employee immediately said it was "in the trash" and refused to even check the system. No effort. No courtesy. Just attitude. That level of behavior is unacceptable. Jobs are not handed out freely, and when someone clearly doesn't want to be there, it shows. Management seriously needs to rethink who they have representing their business, because this kind of service drives customers away. read more

Ever since I walked into Fatima Grill, I was greeted with kindness and made to feel right at home. The staff is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and treats you like family. The food was amazing everything came out fresh, hot, and quickly. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family and friends. I visited with my kids, and we all had a wonderful experience. The employees were attentive, courteous, and made us feel special from the moment we arrived. This place is definitely great for nights when the munchies hit! Prices and fair and portions are large. Fatima's Grill showcases a really cool Lebanese and Mexican fusion that works really well. The service is quick, and the online ordering makes it easy to pop in and out. There's plenty of parking in the plaza, and though small, there's a fair amount of seating within the restaurant. read more

Made a mistake, and still charged me extra. If you make a mistake own it, and eat up that cost for your mistake. Got the hot cheetos burrito and it didn't have hot cheetos, told them about it and charged me $2 extra to add it.. it's not the extra cost it's the principle. Do better! read more

I visited this place to order some Birria tacos until I found out purchasing only two of them were $15! Plus the woman at the counter was not friendly at all! Save your hard earned money and visit another location. Update response to Halal: To be clear your representative at the counter did not state the order was a platter which is defined as including rice and beans. She stated this was the cost of two al la carte tacos! Also using the excuse of "Everything going up" is inaccurate and impossible to know as a fact! This is not a not a justifiable one for an order of this size and quality! I in fact have purchased "Birria Tacos" from major restaurants where the cost was no where nearly near $15 for more than two! I did not bash this location with my opinion, I gave my honest feedback from the dissatisfied interaction with your staff and pricing. If you want to try some affordable quality Birria just Yelp any other location than this place! read more

This place was okay. Don't get me wrong -- the food was good! But it felt more like a "try it once and move on" kind of spot. I'm glad I came, but I don't think I'd come rushing back. Still worth checking off the list at least once! read more

Fatima' Grill has an extremely large menu with option spreading through Lebanese, Mexican and American food as well as fusions of those. We have been there several times and every item we have tried is a 10 or of 10. The portions are huge, always have some left overs. I highly recommended visiting this place. The owner, Ali, has the best customer service anywhere as well as his employees and really shows pride in ownership and community. My goal is to try every item in these huge menu and I'm sure it will all continue to be incredibly delicious. read more

Very disappointed! I feel ripped off. The beef burgers we got were nothing like advertised! The cook doesn't know what he's doing. I paid over $30 for two cheeseburger combos and we got crap that is worse than an average fast food restaurant. For $17 per combo, the meat should be fresh, not from frozen. The meat should be seasoned too. They just tried to cover it with their sauce. It didn't help! No onions, hardly any lettuce... The only thing good was the hamburger buns. In addition, the fries were soggy and not made fresh. And lastly... the customer service is a joke. The lady hung the phone up on me when I asked a question before ordering. I should have took that as a sign. read more

I ordered the Lebanese Burrito which was massive and comes with a mix of all kinds of meat, rice and veggies. It was good but it also felt too dry, even when I put the sauce on it to give it more flavor. Next time, I will probably just order something else. The hot sauce was really good though. It had a great spice level. The cashier was also very helpful with recommendations on what to order. Keep in mind, this isn't a very big place and there's not a lot of seating room, so it might be a better idea to just take your order to go. read more

This is a small restaurant and very low-key but still clean. Their menu is extensive and it combines Mexican food with Mediterranean food, which just happen to be my favorite two types of cuisines. My photo shows the California burrito (chicken). It's delicious and it comes with a 2 small servings of sauce (a mild green sauce and an orange hot sauce). Even though the ratio of fries to chicken is a bit high for me, it still tasted really good. Would I recommend? Yes. But just keep in mind that their beef is not fresh so either red read more

But the cheese, chile relleno, the steak and shrimp were so flavorful and the Lebemex sauce was soooo good. The lebenese mix wrap was also very very good !! I love the rice. I've heard of this place but just haven't had the opportunity to stop in. The fact that is stays open late was a big plus, especially since good quality food places close early. I needed something that offered a variety of food late night that wasn't fast food. The cashier guy was so nice. He was cleaning the floors before almost closing and still welcomed us in. Even offered popular food items to choose from, gave alot of good suggestions. We ordered to go and just from the time of us ordering about 3 different sets of customers came in to get food which is a good sign. I just wish I would have tried this place sooner. There's so much to choose from. It had a mixture of Mediterranean food options with a twist of Mexican food choices. The fries were fresh and the birra quesadilla was good. I will definitely be back to try this place with more time on my hands. Lots of dessert options too. Easy parking but then again it was really late.
