They have high chairs as well. This place is hard to find just look in the left corner of the strip mall and there they are. If your in a rush be patient the food is made to order so that means it will take a few. I was in search of some Mexican food and saw the high ratings for this restaurant. The place is very hard to miss as there is only a small sign in the corner of the strip mall that distinguishes itself. It was empty when I walked in and was happily greeted by the cashier. I had ordered the birria plate and went to pack some salsa and pickled onions at the salsa bar. Food came out pretty quick which was great. The birria was good. It was very juicy and had a kick. There was a pretty big portion of meat too. The pickled onions were a great addition of flavor. The rice and beans were fine, but forgettable. So I ordered the big box chilaquiles and also the wet burritos they both were with birria of course! And they did not disappoint! They were delicious! The big box chilaquiles were more then enough we got boxes for a family of 10 and we had some left over they were portioned right it had a over easy egg on top of the chips and a side of avocado slices bomb! The burritos were also really good! A lot of meat! Pricing was right for the quality for sure! This spot is small and in the corner of the shopping center so seating is limited for big parties. The service was 4 out 5 they really try my only gripe was they left the chilaquiles out for a while before they even had the burritos ready so they were really cold but not a deal breaker. Señor Birria is hidden in a little shopping center. There's plenty of parking. Stopped by while I was in the area for a soccer game and really liked this spot. The vibe is chill, the music playing was good to enjoy with the fam. You order up front and they bring the food out to your table. They have aguas frescas, Mexican bottled sodas, beer, and micheladas. The horchata tasted authentic, and the michelada was made perfectly. The tacos were sooo good. I loved how crunchy they were, and the tortillas are handmade. The beef was soft, flavorful and had none of that gamey taste or extra squishy stuff some places have. They only had one salsa but honestly it was the perfect one for the tacos. The purple onion curtido had a nice kick, I could taste the fresh oregano. AMAZING food. This place looks really hidden and is a small place but with enough tables to sit and eat. The prices are average but it's worth the quality and flavor! I was in the area and I entered this place. I asked the cashier if the birria was beef? She didn't respond, she just made an upset face. I don't like goat meat so much, for that reason I asked. With one person working the register, she was explaining the menu to first time customers in either English or Spanish, took phone orders, bagged and served up the orders, kept the condiment bins full and in between rushes, cleaned the tables. I didn't even know this place was here! It's tucked into the corner by trading post store so hard to find at first and of course limited seating. The guy taking our order was very nice and i asked for my torta with no beans & no lettuce and he was happy to do that for me. My husband asked for his rec on fries vs nachos and he said nachos so we got that. I also got a medium sized consomme on the side. Whole thing was delicious. I couldnt eat it fast enough! And i was happy to get the side of consomme which at first i thought $8 was high but since its basically a cup of meat i stand corrected! I visited this location on Tuesday and received horrible customer service. The location was crowded and the business did not do any about placing waiting customers to one side and ordering customers to another. While I was waiting for my food the woman at the register rudely stated to me, "I have to move so people can order" I was not near the line of ordering customers, I was on the side because there was no where else to wait. Not to mention it took over 20 minutes for 5 tacos! After my number was called the man who had my food just drop it on the table without looking. No sorry for the long wait or thank you. I was craving some Birria, after Googling for the closest Birria near me I stumbled onto this hidden gem by the name of Señor Birria. No joke when I say hidden gem! Señor Birria is located tucked in a small Downey shopping center where if you're not looking carefully you'll drive right by it. Small restaurant with big flavors. I usually go with the Tacos Dorado de Birria (crunchy Birria tacos). The tacos are made with some homemade tortilla shells and stuff with plenty of delicious Birria. The double tortilla shells keep the tacos crunchy just the way a crunchy taco should be. They have a salsa bar where you can help yourself to their homemade red salsa, pickled purple onions with habanero and plenty of juice filled lemons. Combine all this and you get what you see in the picture. Friendly staff makes this place that much more enjoyable. This place is highly recommended by a Picky Foodie. read more

Small restaurant in downy specializing in birria. Overall it's not the best birria I've ever had but it's pretty good. I got the Plato de birria and I would say all the components of the dish were kinda on the saltier side. The price to portion ratio is typical and you can definitely get at least two meals out of it. I was really bloated after eating it and not sure why. Appreciate the worker who let us know that the Plato de birria has the most protein.
