Oh my FREAKING goodness, we love this place! We generally get the 1-pizza special with cheese stix and drinks for right around $20. It's great because the two of us can eat at the restaurant and then take home the rest for a meal the next night. The cheese stix are SO GOOD. They are the same size as a medium pizza. We could literally just eat those for dinner. The service is always really good too. They want to make sure they are delivering a quality pizza and really care. read more

The pizza was pretty good. It is a pretty chill location and the pizza is the best in town for sure. The salad bar is crap so just get the pizza. It tool about 15 minutes for the medium pizza with three toppings and it was pretty busy so that was pretty quick. I'd go here again. Good not great. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! All the girls working there are rude and seem incredibly lazy. My fiancé and I went in this evening, and almost every table was covered in plates, cups, and half eaten food except three. We sat at one and it was super wobbly, so we moved to the second... wobbly again. We sat down at our third table and third time was the charm!....for some people... not for us. This table was sticky as ever!My purse felt almost glued to the table when I picked it up to leave. It really sucked seeing families come in and no tables for them to sit at because of the uncleanliness. They appeared over staffed when we looked over and saw four associates standing, talking, eating, and avoiding the mess in the restaurant. Our sodas tasted super watered down, and the wait for our food felt like forever. Now for the actual food. The pizza was SO greasy. Our cheese and pepperoni immediately slid off when we picked it up. I have had some greasy pizza, but this was GREASY. We took it to go cause we felt bad about leaving almost an entire pizza just sitting on the table, and the bottom of the box was nearly soaked by the time we stepped outside. This was an hour and a half and a 35 dollar complete and utter waste. read more

Just ordered bread sticks. The girl on the phone didn't have an outstanding attitude, more like: Yea, what do YOU want. She mentioned Mozz sticks (which I thought was their regular cheese sticks (4.99). I said OK and she rung me up and said the price is $7.49? Picked them up and checked the receipt. The mozz sticks were $6.92 plus tax. I called them when I got home because on-line they were listed at $5.99. When I asked the girl, she hesitated, then said the on-line price is wrong! That's it, no apology, no nothin'. Ok, so I ate the mozz sticks: They were just barely ok, nothin' more. So I guess we won't be going back. If they were extra-ordinary we might go back. From what I can tell, this is the main independently owned pizza place in Payson. I stopped by here after work to pick up a calzone and I don't think anyone there was over 21. I used to really like this place and I've been several times a few years back. It looks like the place has taken a turn downhill recently. It took almost 30 minutes to get one pizza and we were the only people in the place. Then it turned out our pizza was overcooked. It's pretty evident that the staff aren't being pressed to follow health codes; nobody put their hair in hats or nets, and the two girls at the counter switched from taking money to handling food several times and never washed their hands. Fat Jack's is a great stand alone pizza shop in downtown Payson. Their pizza is good but their cheese sticks are better! As other reviewers have stated, most of the employees are teenagers. However, I know the owner and he is a really nice guy. The shop doesn't look all that fancy on the inside or the outside but the food is stellar. I love Fat Jack's pizza! read more

We love this small pizza place. From the outside it doesn't look like much, to be honest it doesn't look like much on the inside either, but the food is amazing. The dough is soft and flaky yet has a perfect amount of crunch. The pepperoni is my husbands favorite but I go for the Alfredo sauce with chicken and green peppers. Holy cow, your taste buds will sing. Don't leave without having some cheese sticks, it's worth the next morning scale regrets. read more

This is my wife's favorite pizza place. They are inexpensive but don't let the low prices make you think they are low quality. I don't know how they do it, but they are cheaper than the chains and much, much better. Their cheese sticks in particular are just fantastic--cheesy, gooey, and awesome. This pizza place was the perfect stop after the color fest today! I brought 6 teenagers and they LOVED the food. I ordered two XLG pizzas and some cheesy breadsticks w a liter of root beer. Staff was less than helpful, no tables were available because of a reservation that used 2/3 of the tables but only used half of those they had stuff on. Salad was not fresh and it was served without dressing. Pizza was lukewarm at best. Toppings were of fresh ingredients however. The place needed someone to oversee the operation. Have lived in Payson for two years, never been to Fat Jack's, but see it as we drive past. Don't eat much pizza, although we served an 18 month mission in Italy and ate a lifetime's worth of pizza there. For our 48th wedding anniversary (27 March 2020) tried to order pizza from Fat Jack's, but there was a 2 hour wait, so, out of desperation, went to Little Cesars's, for the first time, and spent $5. Pizza was fine, but not remarkable. We finally decided to try Fat Jack's again and called in an order, only 25 minute wait, which is ok, and I was there right on time, although our pizza was already boxed up, couldn't tell how long. Got it home, only 1.2 miles, and it was fairly cool--Little Cesar's was actually hotter. Anyway, Fat Jack's pizza was very dark (burned?), relatively chewy thick bread, tasted bland (no tomato or spice flavor), very greasy (even compared with Italian pizza, with virgin olive oil) and cost more than twice Little Cesar's--won't go to Fat Jack's again. May try Papa Murphy's next time for comparison, or just make our own at home if we really want good pizza. Too bad there isn't a good "mom and pop" pizza place in Payson! read more

We LOVE Fat Jack's Pizza! Their pizzas are so good and full of flavor, their cheese sticks are to die for, and their Ranch is ridiculously good! (Chicken wings leave to be desired, but I rarely want those.) So my rating is for the yummy pizzas and quick delivery. We are right on the edge of the delivery border, but we don't ever feel like we get bad or cold product or grumpy delivery people. So kudos to them! read more

I eat Fat Jack's regularly. I have always received fresh, hot pizza with great ingredients. The delivery is ALWAYS faster than they say on the phone when you order. It is a decent, clean place to eat should you wish to dine on location. Their Cheese sticks are as addicting as any controlled substance you could name. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur. I enjoy most types from the traditional hot n' ready to more exotic creations of CPK. Fat Jack's is one of the best out there I feel. They have amazing traditional topping pizzas and not so traditional choices. I think the cheese bread is delicious and the pizza beats out any other in the city and even the valley. True their salads aren't to die for, but why the heck are you going to a pizza joint for a salad anyway!? Dalton's is next store for that green stuff. Fat Jack's cheese sticks and ranch dressing are the best anywhere. I cannot state how you must have these. The western cheese sticks are great too with bacon, green pepper, and tomatoes. The pizza is great, but not as great as the sticks. They have great ice and the BEST Pepsi. Two of their employees are brother and sister. They are super helpful, fun, and make me want to eat there over and over again. He is tall, handsome, and commanding. She's a cute shorty with dimples :) read more

I love this place. Their pizza is really good! I especially love their fat sticks. It's a bit pricey for pizza but good quality though. I come here once in a while though. We tried their biggest size pizza for a party it was a lot of slices! Fed everyone and we had a lot of left overs. you can add different a toppings too. So everyone can eat their fave pizza toppings. You know I used to love this place like no other. Pizza was amazing everytime I ordered. Now it's hit and miss. I noticed that within the last few years the parents are not involved. If I'm not mistaken, it's the kids who run the place. In my opinion since the parents have not been involved the quality has gone way down. I go to Two Jacks on Main St in Spanish now. Very good quality. Great crust. Very fast service. Again this is just my opinion but until quality improves I won't be going back. Also the price is a little steep I think. read more

I eat here at least once a month and the pizza is great! from what I've heard, the owners have stepped aside and let their son and his wife run it. they are young but do a fabulous job! the service is always wonderful. you can tell they really care about their product and their customers. food always consistent and out fast! the restraunt is very clean and staff is relaxed but obviously follows health code very closely. we love fat jacks and recommend it to anyone and everyone!! read more

We have been die hard Fat Jacks Pizza lovers for generations. We even ate FJP with all of our family and friends, following our family union. Tonight however, the Payson location was a fail. We ordered the special, one 12" 2 topping pie and the cheese sticks for $14.99. We also ordered cinnamon sticks and 2 dipping sauces. Ordering went per usual. Not particularly friendly, but efficient. Our family of 5 sat and waited for our meal. 3 bathroom trips, 8 straw wrapper blowing fights (which we cleaned up) and 21 mins later, a darling waitress came calling for Charlie. We had given the name Jared, so this must have been someone else's order. 3 minutes later the same darling girl came back and asked, are you the order for Charlie? I told her no, but asked what the order was, maybe they just got the name wrong. She stated that she wasn't sure. I told her if it was the special plus cinnamon sticks and dipping sauces it was likely our order. She went back to the kitchen. A moment or two later, the girl that had taken our order stormed up to our table and tossed the pizza tray and cinnamon sticks tray on the table, nearly hitting our 4 yr old. Very irritated I said "Oh so I guess we are Charlie?" The Pizza tosser barked back "YES!" And the darling gal whispered "I guess so" while setting down our plates, sauces and cheese sticks. The tosser stormed away. The reason for the 3 stars is for terrible service, lack of cleanliness inside the restaurant restrooms and the cinnamon sticks were over cooked and barely chewable. When trying to separate the sticks, they were hard and not pliable at all, and the frosting was in two packets just tossed on top. I'm hoping this was just a bad night for Fat Jacks Pizza representatives and not indicative of how this location functions. read more
