We are on the road and stopped here after searching Yelp. The place is ran by young women high school-college age. There was a man counting money so I think he owns the place but not sure. Anyway ordered a combo pizza. They have take out and a seated area but all orders are placed in the same location and they brought the pizza to us after I stood at the counter cause the music was a little loud and I thought they called my name...The combo had pineapple on it which wasn't a problem since I like it but the first combo I have ever had with pineapple. The price for a large was $21.00 which I felt was a good deal. The pizza was good. It came out hot and was tasty. The reason I rated lower was due to a few cleanliness issues. The woman cutting pizzas has a habit of cutting the pizza then rubbing her hands together over the pizza she just cut-I am guessing to get anything off her hands. She also picked or itched her ear prior to this on one of these hand rubbing episodes. Also hair on most of the girls was falling down. I thought about saying something to the girl that kept rubbing her hands over each pizza she cut but decided it was pointless since girls were around her and a male I think was the boss seated near by. Also the front door metal needs a good wiping. They seem to do a bang up business so doesn't bother others and I wished I hadn't seen her wiping her hands over pizzas but as I stood waiting for my pizza she did it 5 times. read more

This is always our go to pizza stop. While it may be more pricey than some other places, it is worth the cost. My favorite part is getting the lunch special with a drink, personal pizza, and salad bar. It may be called a lunch special but they will serve it all day. The service is always friendly and quick too we never feel as though we are rushed out the door or that it takes too long. Ate here on a whim killing time and because I have a hard time turning down pizza. Now the biggest frustration I have with Pizza in Utah, is you cannot order just a slice, it has to be a whole pie. This means you must wait 15-20 minutes at least for a snack. Since I make my own dough and sauce New York and Detroit style, it's tough when you only want a slice to hold you over at home or on the run. Now this joint has apparently been around for a long time in Payson which saying something, do I need to spell it out? This place is quite large inside and could knock it out of the park on weekends especially with live Music and maybe a liquor license. Now TripAdvisor has this place as a 1 in the top 5 with Domino's and Little Caesar as 2 & 3 which tells you not to listen to anything they have to say. As you see there's plenty of toppings which drowns out the flavor of the sauce, but since my girlfriend ordered as I sat in the car, what could I say? I like to order plain on the first visit to taste the sauce so not much I can say about it. I don't like big giant crusts like shown in the picture as I feel that J am being robbed of the cheese and sauce where most would agree make up 75 percent of the rating. I am also not a fan of sausage that is shaped like a marble or the local wild life compared to sausage slices which leads me to believe leave it's purchased this way. I stopped by here with some family after a niece's dance recital. We picked up a 16" pizza, some of the cheese sticks, and some wings. The cheese sticks came out first and were pretty good with the ranch. The wings were pretty weak. 6 for $3.99, without any options on a flavor outside of "hot". They were tiny, didn't have much meat on them, and were just bland. I'd take my homemade wings covered in some of my hot sauce collection any day over these. I won't get wings here in the future. Our pizza came out last and was pretty good. The 16 inches of pizza was enough for around 6 of us. We were there with a group of 9 adults and a kid that were eating, and between a 16" pizza, 12" pizza, the cheese sticks and some wings, we were full and had plenty of left overs. While I'm only giving it a 3 star, it is mostly due to just how bad the wings were. The pizza and cheese sticks are great and definitely beat the big boy chains in the area. read more

I don't really know why this place has such good reviews. It took over 30 minutes for a tiny 8" pizza and 12 wings. The pizza was mediocre (someone said the crust was the best part - it's the only good part), and the wings were so bad. They were dry and extremely small, and were so rubbery they were inedible. They made us feel sick. They were supposed to be hot wings and they had no spice whatsoever! Literally the only good part about our meal the crust of the pizza. Update, Fat Jacks does not seem to care about their customers at all. Their back door (the main entrance from the parking lot) has a broken gutter directly above it. There is no awning. The result is that water streams onto customers as they walk in and out. It is impossible to avoid, as there are so many streams so close together. This problem exists almost daily because most of the water is a result of snow melting from the roof, which in Utah during the winter happens basically all day every day for 8 months. It does not have to rain for this issue to exist here. As a side note, their ceiling inside of the building is also being affected by water and seems to be slowly falling in. So I'm working in the Payson area and I get a hankering for some pizza. I'm a fan of Two Jacks so I figured Fat Jacks might be similar. Ordered a small sausage and green olive. Pizza came out in 10 min or less. How was it? Well the sauce and crust are almost identical to Two Jacks. The big let down was the sausage. It was nothing special unlike the amazing sausage they use at that other Jacks place. This was your typical chain sausage, just ok. Parking is available in the rear and there is tons of seating. We ordered delivery from Fat Jacks Pizza on a Saturday evening around 6:00. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. I figured she was having a bad day and didn't think too much of it but our conversation got worse and worse. I told her I wanted 2 large pizzas delivered and then she said "do you want these delivered or not?!" I said yes, I already said this was for delivery... I then asked if I could also order a side salad. I could not find the salads online so I asked what salads they have. She read the names of the salads but not the ingredients/toppings. She was fairly annoyed I even asked about salads and to be honest she seemed irritated the entire conversation. At the end of the conversation I said 'thank you' and she just hung up the phone. We LOVE this place and continue to recommend it to others. It's a very small and hole-in-the-wall local restaurant. We have come back every time we drive through the area and have been pleased with the quality of food every time. The pizza and cheese sticks are very tasty and have a crispy but fluffy dough. The sauce tastes great and the prices aren't too shabby for portion sizes (especially when you go for the specials). We've had friendly staff each time we've gone. They aren't over the top, but they aren't rude either. We continue to enjoy this place each time we visit and walk away full and satisfied with the taste. Note: It is a VERY small place to eat. When it comes to pizza in Payson, Utah, this place is at least two notches above the rest! I'm giving Fat Jack's 5 stars because they have super speedy delivery and amazingly cheesy pizzas and bread sticks. My only complaint is that they are greasy. But then again, I bet to achieve that awesome level of flavor that they rock, I'm sure it's an important component. The Western Stix ($8) are killer-yummy. One of my all time favorites from any pizza place, ever! They are cheesy bread sticks with crumbled bacon and diced bell pepper, onion, tomato, and optional jalapenos. I order them with the jalapeno for the flavor but then pull them off. :) The pizza is great too, but honestly I usually don't make it as far as needing pizza. I order it for the kids because after 3 or 4 Western Sticks, I am completely satisfied. They don't have online ordering, which I usually only order food online, but they are worth it! read more
