The food is good. However, I agree with so many other posts that the wait staff leave a bit to be desired.

I wish I had pictures! the crawfish was so good, they have buy 3 lbs get 1 free so my sister & I split that. the drinks were WEAK AF, we both had blue Hawaiian and it just tasted like I was drinking blue koolaid fr. no flavor. but the fish was good, crawfish was good, I'd go back! we got the hottest level of spice and the BOOM as the flavor, which is all 3 combined. just TRUST. there was a lot of walking around and activity going on with some of the customers but they had no control over that so yea. read more

The staff was delightful, had a little too much fun but hey keep the food clean please! I have gone a handful of times and my recent trip was still good until my food attempted to settle. An hour half later, I throw up what I ate, I had to miss work, I had the sweats all night, I had the shits and I would go back just to have a drink for the vibes but I don't think I deserved that. I was sick as heck. Whomever ate fried shrimp the same day that I did, probably got sick as well. I literally just ordered fried shrimp, steamed rice & I order mild Cajun sauce to pour on my rice/dip my shrimp. Idk if it was the Cajun boil juice or if it was the fried shrimp. The drink named Skittles created a whole ordeal because it was disgusting.. I am very particular about my food and drinks and if it is not up to par I am going to kindly ask for an exchange or return it back to the kitchen ...so I was told that my drink could not be returned once it came out...I am like obviously you can see that I did not drink it but I tasted enough to know it was nasty ...long story short I had to find the manager and tell them and even then I was told to give me just a minute ..I'm like I'm telling you what's wrong what is there to wait a minute about....on a positive note the music is good and after 30 min wait I got my Skittles drink replaced with a peach margarita and that was delicious .... Came for my sons bday but stood at the door for a hot minute waiting to be seated even though the staff was all at the bar just chatting , when we finally got sat, we asked to move because it was not the area where we wanted to sit and the server just said no because that's her section. I guess she didn't have tables and wanted us to sit on her section, sorry but thats not the area we wanted to sit at. We ended up moving sections to another and we never got attended to even though that section we moved to had other guest. Service here is obvious of no importance and the staff clearly has no sense of urgency. No wonder they are slow, open tables and still have to wait so they can finish gossip or whatever is more important than customer service. You get the feeling you are burdening the staff. Its a no for me. I recommend LA Fisherman on beltway 8 and beechnut. There is a wait but the food and the service is always up to par there. read more

If you're looking for a solid review that'll determine if you'll eat here or not, pull up a chair!! Let me just say that ive been here twice and it was mid for sure. Service ? Trashhhhhhhhhhhhhh. We had a party of 7. Waited for 15 mins to be greeted. Employees glanced our way and kept going. We waited an hour and a half to be seated and was skipped over multiple times because the hostess' didn't know what was going on and some guy was letting people (party of 10) he knew in. We were over this place but by that time, every other place nearby was closed. When we asked how ppl were getting seated before us, they lied and said they had a reservation. THEY DONT HAVE RESERVATIONS HERE. The bartender (Kevin) came and spoke up for us. He let them know that it was not right to skip over us and he came and put tables together to seat us which had been empty the whole time so this was something that could have been done. Waitress was either serving too many tables at once or just not that good. She didn't check on us once. We didn't get any refills and she forgot some of our order but played it off like it wasn't ready yet. We were done with the rest of our food by that time. Prices ? Disrespectful but the food was good this time around thankfully. Would give it 3 stars. Overall, I will never go back to this place again. I loved this spot! It was my first time going there last night! The throwback 2000s were playing, the service was prompt, and the food was delicious! Food was good but service was poor. Our server never greeted us. When she finally took our order, she would literally walk by and throw stuff on the table. Never ask if we needed anything and wouldn't have time to ask because our table felt like a pit stop. Server dropped crab cakes in front of me and I had to stop her to ask for ketchup. 10 minutes later she is bringing us our food. I asked what happened to the ketchup and she rolled her eyes at me. I told her not to worry about it because I don't need it anymore. She still went and got it and threw it in front of me. I told her again that I don't need it anymore I was asking for it for my crab cakes. She threw everyone food in front of them with great attitude. I asked to speak with her supervisor. Again she rolled her eyes at me and walked away. A few minutes later, a lady walks up asking "what we need". After trying to clarify who she was because she did not introduce herself, I said are you the manager and she said in attitude that she was the "general manager". After I explained to her what was going on. The "general manager" decides to tell me that she was their best server and never have any complaints. I interrupted her and told her that I did not care about her being the best employee because that is not our experience. She states that she tells staff to make it a priority to bring our food out hot. I told her that my crab cakes are no longer hot if I had to wait on ketchup for 10 minutes. After this "general manager" could care less to listen, she asked if we wanted another server. We stated yes. A few minutes later the "general manager" comes back and says that none of the other waitresses want to take another table. So we either stick with the first one or she would be our waitress but we would have to go long periods of not getting any help since she had a 12 top table that was her priority. I asked for our check and to get our alcohol drink fixed that was not fixed correctly. 15 minutes no check or drink and I asked her again for our check. 10 minutes later, still no check. Asked general manager again and she acts like the other girl is bringing it. I basically told her that this was the 3rd time we have asked for our check and if it's not here in the next few minutes then we are leaving. Check came in less than 2 minutes smh. I ALWAYS tip even if I have bad service because I know waitresses make a living off tip but I couldn't tip to someone who felt their attitude and awful eye rolls was acceptable. Where can I start? So I was a past employee here and my first day on the job I had seen so much from employees and customers selling drugs to each other to there are being weed in the kitchen and in the bathroom to employees smoking on premises, and being allowed to buy alcohol on the premises, and while on shift. "Being drunk while working " Miss Ciara let alone her husband is the drug dealer on premises. Now I continue to work here, knowing that it was a liability, and that I was under contract with a record label and could potentially get me in trouble. But I still gave it a chance. After working there for no later than a week, I was terminated because I wouldn't follow the rules of the restaurant, which was indulging in drug activity and illegal activities that could get my TABC license taken away, or even worse a fine or jail time. So, of course, you know, I took it into my own hands. Now I will say this will not be the first restaurant that I have came around with these type of things but this is far most the worst restaurant that I've been around to say that they allow their employees to roll weed on the premises and indulge in illegal activities. Now the GM fired me because she said that I was trying to destroy her establishment she have built 15+ years from stripping and selling drugs and that was her quote and then proceeded to say that I threatened every employee on the premises because I told her that if she didn't get things under control that this restaurant was going to be brought down. So I'm just here to say that I wouldn't encourage taking anyone there especially if you were a tourist and outside of the state I would not indulge in these restaurants particularly in fat crap because it's not family friendly, nor do they even have a kids menu. Now, this is only the beginning of me leaving a review because I have took precautionary steps in order to make sure that every single employee and manager is reprimanded for every wrong doing at that store. I just believe that eventually someone's going to get in trouble for the wrong things that are happening at this restaurant or this restaurant is going to have a drug bust one day. The only reason why this has became a concern to me is because I see that they don't have a kids menu and the reason they don't have a kids menu is because they would prefer kids not to come to the restaurant because they indulge in illegal activities and knowing that I'm a representative of the state of Louisiana department of children and family services kids it's my responsibility and oath to make sure that I report this to make sure that all children stay safe. Now, my ending statement would be that I pray and hope that this restaurant can get its things under control because I would hate to see employees be brought down because a GM doesn't care about their safe being. This place is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. My go to is the 1/2 pound of shrimp and crawfish and it's a good amount of food for the price. I occasionally get the scallops as well which are also quite good, but a tad on the expensive side. The seafood is well seasoned and packed with flavor. The service can be hit or miss at times, but I think this might be due to staffing shortages. Prices online are not matching prices in the restaurant: fried tilapia is 12.99 online in the restaurant 15.99 and etc. All silverware and plates are plastic. No sauces were served with crab cakes or tilapia you literally have to ask for everything, plates, silverware. And as a finish we had a shit show with a high/homeless guy right next to us talking to himself all the time, after he ordered the waiter tiled him their credit card machine is down and he has to pay cash and guess what?
