This place is my guilty pleasure and I truly believe that they put crack in their food. I'm just joking but there's some kind of addictive substance because it doesn't make sense how good their food is. Probably not the best of you have a coronary condition but I would treat this place like a holiday. I've been here many times for the last two years and I love their burgers I love their tacos and their banana pudding I especially am grateful to God for the hands that have made the pudding. The Decour is more of a food truck style but now indoor seating is available not sure how that works are usually get mine outside as I am accustomed to the food truck style. Highly recommend that you call and order in advance but if you have time to wait it's usually not long during the week I've never attempted to go on the weekend. Some of my favorites are the mac & cheese burger, street tacos and a Thanksgiving specialty burrito. Every month they have a specialty item and it seems like a family run business. I'm all about supporting small businesses and especially those that do such an excellent job. I do not know these people personally and I'm not paid to write this review. The food is just that damn good. They have a wide righty catering to vegans and meat lovers. Driven past this place many times and seen lots of people but never tried as I'm a little cautious of these types of roadside eateries. Upon recommendation of a friend who ate here recently, we decided to take the plunge and I'm happy to report I was pleasantly surprised. You order outside at the yellow shack and then have the option to eat outside at the picnic tables or inside at their freshly decorated seating area next door. Love the artsy feel and bright colors. We opted for inside due to the cold weather. My wife ordered their Mac and cheese burger and I ordered their pork belly burger. It took a few minutes as they prepare everything fresh when you order. A few minutes later they brought our food steaming hot. The first thing we noticed was the enormous portions. What we should have done was order one burger and shared. It took both my hands to get a grip on this thing and it was difficult to open my mouth wide enough to take a bite. Somehow I managed to take a bite and I could taste the freshness of the vegetables and the tasty meaty goodness that only burgers off a flat grill can give. But for me, the piece de resistance was the pork belly on top. Tender, juicy and even more meaty goodness than the burger patties. Throw in the crispy fries and you have a gut busting meal. Can't see how anyone could walk away hungry. I was completely satisfied and I could only eat half. Extra large portions aside, I was impressed with the quality and gourmet burger taste. We have eaten at Fat Boys multiple times before they moved to their newest location and had positive experiences! Tonight we went and the food was not great, tater tots were in crumbles, and marinara sauce was growing mold! We didn't even finish our meals as we were so grossed out. An unkempt man literally walked in from outside with a phone in his hand, got our food from the window and brought it out to our table without washing his hands, wearing gloves or using hand sanitizer. In fact, no one in the front was washing hands or using hand sanitizer between touching money, cards, dirty dishes or the TRASH CAN before grabbing plates of food to give to customers. So much cross contamination and just nasty. We will NOT be back!! They did refund our money but that does not make up for the severe health violations. read more

I have heard and heard about this place for a long time and thought. It's time!!!! We pulled up and walked inside the shop.... it was set up kind of odd with no place to order, so we went outside to the food truck. I ordered a pork belly burger, onion rings, and southwest egg rolls. We went back in the shop to sit and fill our drinks. The unsweetened tea was gross, and the lemonade was just water with a little lemon, not what I expected. I was a little frustrated, but was so hungry I just wanted to eat. I was a little nervous as the entire place is decorated like a bible study room for kids. It was cute, but odd. Then I got the food. The pork belly burger is the best pork belly I have had since being in japan. It was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The burger was bigger than my hand and it was full of all the right flavors. Me and my wife ordered the Philly Cheese Steak with the tater tots because they were out of french fries. The sandwich had no green peppers or onions on it. I'll be the first to admit I'm a picky person, but this was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. My first time there so I thought I'd try the nachos and potato skins with bbq. A big plate of cold chips with lukewarm tasteless chili and some whole kernel corn dumped on it. Then covered with cold cheese that had no signs of melting. The mayo had barely any taste; don't know why it doesn't come with sour cream instead. It came with a tiny cup of salsa for the big quesadilla. I tasted the chick'n and real cheese taste; I questioned whether it was real cheese or vegan cheese because it tasted like dairy cheese, which is good. It also needs some sauce in it. Best burger I EVER had!!!!! Not to mention the staff was SUPER friendly and gave off a real down home feel!

Went there today at lunch. The restaurant is VERY loud inside, as were the two who sat behing us. Food was VERY expensive for a roadside dive, and there was no MEAT on the menu, only beans and tofu. Quite creative, just very overpriced. There are a few things for you vegans: crisp fresh lettuce and a very friendly lady at the register. Ummm wow...I wasn't expecting that. I've passed this place soooooo many times and never thought to stop and try it. It looks like a food truck next to a strip of businesses. Initially it looks like they only have seating outside and I just assumed they wouldn't have any vegetarian options, but I was wrong. They have multiple vegetarian options including a veggie burger, a veggie chicken wrap, and I believe tacos as well. We called our order in so it would be ready by the time we got there and it was. When I went to pay, I realized they had sides like onion rings, sweet potato fries, etc. and I couldn't resist. So I ordered a side of onion rings for $3.26 (tax included). The onion rings were okay, I probably won't get them next time. However, their veggie chicken wrap was bomb! They use the morning star chicken patties and it is delicious. They are pretty heavy handed on the cheese and I ended up picking most of the cheese out because it was a bit much. Also this wrap is HUGE!!! If I had known how big it was I also would've skipped the side order of onion rings. There is a lot of tortilla and I ended up tossing most of the tortilla cause I knew I wouldn't finish the delicious awaiting inside the wrap and well I didn't want to waste the onion rings either. The second thing I was wrong about was the seating. While they do have outside seating, they also have seating inside. Since it was a little chilly outside we opted for the inside option. I've been dying to try an impossible burger for a while now. My husband and I were looking for something different for a date night, and he found this place had the Impossible Burger. We took a chance and drove down. So glad we did. Husband said it was like something you would see on Diner's, Drive Ins, and Dives, and he was so right!! Its sort of an off beat/whole in the wall kind of place that gets everything not just right, but amazing! They have a ton of vegetarian and vegan options which was a great thing for me! They even ask when you order an impossible burger if you want it vegan or vegetarian!! Around here, that kind of question is like gold to me. He tried the brisket burger and said it was awesome. I had the impossible burger. I was a little unsure of the pattie itself at first having not eaten meat in many years, but after a couple of bites, I decided it was great. This place is all you need in life! Fat Boy's is THEE spot to satisfy all of your complex cravings! Sad to say that only now I'm posting a review, considering that I've been here many times before. Regardless, I have loved coming to Fay Boys because of their insane, and insanely good menu. I usually get the brisket or street tacos with a side, which is enough to feed a hungry man who's been stranded in the desert for months! This is not an exaggeration, simply fact. I cannot stress how many food options there are, and now, they have added vegan food to the menu (which I think is a baller move for a stationary food truck business). As a non-vegetarian, I indulged this week in the brisket tacos with a side of fried okra. The photos do it no justice! The meat on the tacos was tender and juicy, topped with shredded cheese and lime juice, these tacos were mouth watering. The fried okra was just the cherry on top!!! During the summer and warmer months, I recommend eating outside on their new-and-improved patio. Let the sun rays shine on you while you bite into a new food creation that only your mind could have concocted. You will be greeted by friendly people who do their best to provide you exceptional food, at an exceptional price, and at in an exceptional time. 10/10 would recommend! I MISS FAT BOY'S! I believe they suffered severe tornado damage and are not yet back open? That makes me sad because after being back in Chattanooga for 1 year, Fat Boy's is my favorite burger in town. They do several other things very well, just a fun menu all around and I have not had 1 thing here that I didn't love. Wow!! Just go!! We ordered several things to try it out and we were not disappointed by anything. The wait time was less than quoted to us, it just was rather cold standing outside to order the food. We tried the Egg Rolls -Buffalo, BBQ and Philly. The buffalo didn't have a lot of flavor but that is the only not completely positive thing I can say about those, they were just amazing. The BBQ was my favorite hands down but the husband really liked the Philly. The Thanksgiving Burrito was HUGE and delicious my husband was only able to eat about half of it and then enjoyed it for dinner as well. The Fat Boy SO DELICIOUS!!! I also only got through about half of it cause it was also huge which made it well worth the money. The Kids Mac- I only had a tiny bite and wasn't completely blown away, but my 5 year old ate it without complaint. The fries were also very good. We should have left after we were told they were out of half the items on the menu, including drinks but figured we would just have a burger and tacos, again bad decision. The first burger came out after about half an hour, was cold and had fries instead of tots. Fries were cold, very cold. The other 3 orders came out nearly half an hour later, all was cold. Absolutely terrible service. My wife, son and I got to the restaurant at 6:11 put our order in and sat down. My wife got her tacos but my son and I didn't get our food. They finally got my son his food about 20 minutes later and it was wrong and I still hadn't gotten my cheeseburger. After an hour I went up and asked for my money back.
