You can find Marthie Ann's at 9453 Bradmore Ln Ste 101 Ooltewah, TN 37363. This is a fairly new mixed-use development with a few locations for restaurants, and a very good little craft beer bar, Hoptown, right around the "square" and easy walking distance from the restaurant. We stopped at Ooltewah while traveling from Knoxville back to Atlanta - had a beer at Hoptown and I asked the taproom person about food options - it was too late for what sounded like a great brunch nearby, but she indicated that Marthie Ann's was a good option. I walked down to the restaurant and looked for something easy to carry back to the beer bar - the Springer Mountain Wings were the perfect snack! The wings were delicately fried and had an awesome rub seasoning - served with a side of ranch. 6 were $9.20 but because it was a Sunday they were half-off! Next time I'm trying a blue plate - they looked amazing. I ordered at the bar - at first I think the bartender took me for a vagrant (and granted I'd been drinking beer up in Knoxville the few days before so probably looked a bit sketch) but she warmed up to me once I ordered and paid. Our family has loved visiting the Marthie Ann's in Cleveland and when it was announced that a location would be opening in Cambridge Square of Ooltewah, we were quite excited. Finally visited and immediately noticed the ambiance was different. It's a bit more formal than then Cleveland location. Instead of counter ordering, you are greeted, seated, and waited upon by a server. Service for our visit was a bit amiss too. It seemed a bit scattered. Perhaps just comes with the beginning of a newly opened location still finding it's groove? Another thing noted is that while the menu is similar to the Cleveland location, the prices are a tad higher for the same offerings. One can attribute that perhaps to it's location being in the "upscale" Cambridge Square? In all, it was a fair first visit for us to this new location. Personally, I enjoy the ambiance of the Cleveland location (which is sadly currently closed), but I do appreciate this second convenient location in Cambridge Square, which our family frequents. I can see us visiting again because we do love us some Marthie Ann's, and we'll see if this location grows on us. read more

The food at Mattie Ann's spoke to my soul!!!! The food was great. Everything we tried was great. We had no apprehensions with the restaurant at all but we thought it was going to be a typical restaurant meal. We were pleasantly surprised because it was almost as going over to your grand mother's house on Sunday. Our server was super attentive as well. She did everything on point and also engaged well too. The ambiance of the place is a mix of small bar since has TVs on the wall but similar to a cafe. If you would like a great meal then Mathie Ann's is the spot!!! So good. Im glad to know that if Im craving a good burger, I dont have to go far. Never disappoints. I had the Tennessee Whiskey Burger amd wife had the pimento cheese hot honey chicken sandwich. We always leave satisfied. I do wish they would give more fries though, or a pickle spear. If they dont, I'm still gonna go often and let my taste buds explode with the yummy-ness. read more

The chicken is the best chicken I've ever had and I've been thinking about the turnip greens and pintos ever since the first time I stopped by. We ate at Marthie Ann's when they first opened in Ooltewah. We were underwhelmed. Recently, I noticed Facebook posts stating how they revamped their menu and gone back to what they do best. It sounded as if they had originally tried to do too much and then decided to scale the menu back and focus on doing less, but doing it well. We decided to try it again tonight and unfortunately we found it to be less satisfying than the first time we tried it. The "smash burger" was definitely not a smash burger. It was just a regular burger with a bun too large for the beef. There was nothing special about it at all. The French fries were pretty good. We also had fried green tomatoes.. they were okay. My husband wanted a Reuben sandwich and they were out. He asked for chicken livers and they were out. He ordered unsweetened tea and received sweet tea. The server was kind, but failed to make correct change after 2 attempts. I would say that Marthie Ann's has a long way to go to be able to survive. I wanted to love this place, but attention to detail is needed. Too many better options to choose from in Ooltewah. read more

We recently went to Marthie Ann's on a Cambridge Square date night since it's new and we hadn't been there. We use to frequent Southern Burger fairly often so we were very familiar with the layout and location. It was really good. Like, really good. Food that makes Wine Down seem like gas station fare. I had the Really Good Burger and my wife had the Nashville Hot Honey with pimento cheese chicken plate. Both were AMAZING. We each had a Manhatten Style cocktail from the bar and that was good as well. The food is great hands down. We also had a chance to go today for brunch. Another great culinary experience. Our server was a bit rushed and forgot things on multiple occasions, but the food was phenomenal. I had the Birria bowl and my wife the white cheddar chicken Mac n cheese bowl. Both were so so good. Love this place so far. My only suggestion is that you could do a bit better job of making the decor feel more upscale since you have a $70 steak on the menu and possibly put a few booths back in over where they used to be. Beside that this place is one of the best Cambridge Square offerings to date. Take note wine down. read more
