Same high pricing was for simple battery replacement ($25). I eventually went to another place, which did all of this on the spot, for much cheaper prices ($8 vs. their $30 for the band replacement, $8 vs. $25 for the battery replacement). Just today, I brought in my Wenger Swiss Military diver watch to get a new band and a new battery. The reason I needed a new band was because I lost a link to it and I thought I couldn't get it resized without them, but the man who had helped me told me he could resize it. It's nice to see people that are more willing to help, than to upsell customers! It only took around 15 minutes to get the battery replaced at a total of 20 bucks for a 5 year warranty battery! Definitely coming back for any future repairs and battery replacements! Thanks! Edit: came back to get some watch bracelets adjusted, and apparently for the same pin systems, one watch cost more. I dropped off my ring to FastFix at Riverside Galleria on Tyler yesterday Saturday January19th 2019 at 1:45 PM to be sized only. I was told I could return at 4 o'clock to pick it up when I returned At 4:45 I was told that the sizing was not complete and that the jeweler is just getting there which was a lie because he was there when I dropped off the ring. I was told to come back at 8:45. When I came back to pick up my ring he asked me if I had a receipt I gave them my receipt,he gave me my ring said let's see if it fits I tried it on my finger it fit and I walked out of the store Without my receipt that he didn't give back to me and I was examining my ring and clearly as you can see by the photos The side stones had been changed and the Centerstone was not set properly in the prongs which led to it falling out not 10 minutes later. I went back to the store to get my receipt immediately from him and he acted like he d never seen me before he had thrown the receipt away finally found it and gave it to me I ripped it out of his hands to let him know that I knew and went home to thoroughly examine the ring with photographs comparing to the photographs I took of the ring before I dropped it off to fast fix. On Sunday I returned to FastFix with my fiancé and asked the gentleman who had worked on my ring the previous day to please return my ring to the condition it was when I dropped it off.he asked me what's wrong with it I said well first of all the Centerstone fell out and I want you to return the ring to the condition including all the original stones all of them as they were when I left it with you. His response to me was that the stones were fake diamonds. I never mentioned anything about the diamonds being fake real or anything what I said to him was he had no business even touching the stones because that's not what the ring was therefore and then I had photographs to document that they are not the same stones and I was giving him a chance to redeem himself before I go public with this and call the police, which I did.The police told me this is not a criminal case it is civil and I must go through the corporate company all the crap to get a civil suit going. I showed the police officer what the ring looked like before I gave it to fast fix and then I showed him look at the ring that I had in my hand with the stone out and he shook his head and he said you better make that call. I gave the gentleman one more Opportunity to make this right by having my fiancé go in and have him place the Centerstone back in the setting, and hoped he would make it right by putting the original side stones back in the ring. He Told my fiancé that his stone setter was not in today and that he wouldn't be able to do that for me. I gave the place ample opportunities to make this right so now I am taking this public to all areas of social media Who would do this to someone? Why? I am just sickened by this whole mess but believe you me I will be calling their headquarters and filing my claim. Because I've got the documentation to prove these are not the same stones I brought into that store. It doesn't even matter if the stones are genuine or not the fact of the matter is that they are not the same ones that were in the ring when I dropped it off to them. There is also evidence that shows in the before and after photos that he scratched altered markings on the metal. This place is all bad. I loved that ring and he literally destroyed it for me I bought it for the brilliance and color clarity of the two side trillion cut stones he did a horrible replacement that must of been where he was when I came back the first time to pick up the ring looking for something to replace my stones with. I came here on a quest for a watch band, it seems no place carries them anymore. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. They didn't have any bands that fit on display so the guy (forgot his name) rummaged till he found one that was the right color and size. Joy. It wasn't until that night when I gave my wife the watch that I discovered her watch is silver and the latch on the band is gold. Not going to work. She took it back, without the receipt, a day or two later and they replaced it with no questions asked. She got a battery too, I didn't notice it was dead. The comment left after my review shows exactly what I have written about. They claim that it was my fault and exaggerate the conversation to paint me in a bad light. The response is the most insincere and unprofessional thing they could have replied with. This business put notes about me on Yelp to protect their name. These notes not being accurate so as not to accept blame. I have already taken my watch to a more reputable shop with an actual watch maker for assistance. Due to the unique movement, they could not fix the date for less than the cost of a new watch. The entire movement will have to be replaced. There is no reason for me to do any further business with this store as they are not willing to provide a proper resolution. As for the Yelp review, of course it feels like they are being bashed, it paints them in a terrible light which is a direct result of their neglect and refusal to take responsibility. If they would have just taken responsibility in the first place, there would have been no complaint and the review would at the very least have an extra star or two. This is a cheap stab at making me look bad because I took the time to complain to someone other than their own employees. Like most places with terrible service, they assume there will be no consequences. A complaint and a review may not be much, but it's what I could do. read more
