Horrible customer service. I walked in to do a routine cleaning for both mine and my husbands rings. There were only two workers, one on the phone didn't lift her head up once to acknowledge us and the second the working with a customer who also didn't acknowledge us. We sat down in a chair hoping to be acknowledged soon or at least helped next. The worker helping a customer looks at me and goes "can I help you?" I politely said yes we need our rings cleaned and she said "okay I'll help you after this customer". RUDE. We left to go to another Kay's. read more

I went in to order a replacement necklace for my girlfriends birthday. I was told that they were running a sale through September (10). I know for a fact she said September 10th because I wrote it down in my phone immediately following her telling me. When I come back on the 10th, I'm told the sale ended on the 7th... I would've come on the 7th if I was instructed that the sale ended on the correct date. It was a gift so I was still going to buy it none the less but I missed out on paying $100 less purely out of the clerks incapability to tell me the correct date. She even had the audacity to say she remembered me and my partner showing up a week earlier and claimed she told us the 7th. I read off my notes app to her that she told us the 10th (mind you that I can see the time stamp where I wrote the note and it hadn't changed since I wrote it last week, meaning I simply had the date SHE TOLD ME) and she responded with her same claim that she told us the sale ended on the 7th. I feel it's wrong to misinform your clients and cheat them out of cash, just so you could get them back in the store to buy. read more

Quality of their jewelry is poor! I bought an opal bracelet and lost it four days later due to a faulty clasp. They did nothing to rectify the problem and I was made to pay several hundred dollars for the item. read more

If I can give a negative I would - because why did I drop off my jewelry for a repair and never was called for a pick up! I have plenty of jewelry to wear but this one in particular is my absolute favorite, very disappointed that I called multiple times multiple days and different times and never got an answer once! I had to call customer service complaint line for her to tell me it had been ready for a whole month and when I finally came in to pick it up today I asked why wasn't I called - they looked at the necklace no notation nothing of any sort to give me a reason! I didn't want to drive out to come and find out it wasn't ready so I continued to call until I gave up and had to make a complaint on the company physically - and when you go into the store they have multiple women not doing a damn thing but standing around - must be nice to show up to a job just to show face. read more

This has been my husbands jeweler of choice over the years. He always paid for the extended warranty except once and of course that's the time we needed to make a bracelet smaller. They charged me $60.00 to make a bracelet smaller. I questioned how she was figuring it when I took it in and she made me feel stupid. I was gifted with a wonderful stone set. I since then have came every month to replace the chain. And I think a post once on my earrings. Granted it's very thin and the only thing that is being done is wielding the broken part which by the way keeps breaking. Now according to my receipts and warranty provided I'm allowed repairs or a I can request a new chain . In which this particular time I did. One was found and I was grateful, only to find out when I went to pick up that's in I was supposed to purchase a new warranty. Why when I have a lifetime warranty already. It was explained because it's a new chain. Oohhh ok no Kay Jewelers no do better. So I'm going to have a whole other warranty when I already have one. So everyone make sure ask specific questions because they will not or refuse to tell you this before hand. Oh and all a sudden they need your drivers license to report to feds that you picked up your jewelry. Never not once did I need this information being obtained to pick up my jewelry. For id purpose yes for pickup but to record absolutely not. Someone needs to investigate the Temecula Promenade office it's some suspect things going here. read more

I'm very disappointed in this store and will not be shopping with them again. I purchased several item that I had been waiting on the Black Friday sale and the items I wanted did not have a change in price (although that's what they advertised) my order arrived and low & behold they are now $20-$50 less then what I paid for 2 of the items. I asked if the matched the price and I was told that they would have to void out all the items I purchased. Really? I had a necklace bought for me as a gift 4 years ago and so far I have had nothing but problems with it. Keep in mind I barley wear this necklace. The first time it broke, (a year latter) took it back so they could fix it. The second time it broke right where they "fixed" it. I told the lady that it broke where they soldered it. She tried to tell me that's not where it broke but I clearly saw it!! They took it and fixed it again. The second time it broke (another year later) was in the same spot...at this point I didn't want a necklaces that was full of soldering spots so I asked them if they could just replace the chain. The third time it broke (a month ago) I can't find my warranty but I have one (keep in mind it's been 4 years) and now because I can't find my warranty they can't fix my necklace unless if the warranty was bought by a Kay card they can find it. But not credit card or cash. So now I have a broken necklace that can't be fixed because they don't save that information (for customer protection) or so the girl tells me. But if I know exactly what day it was purchased (4 years ago) they can help me....WTF? Needless so say looks like I will be buying a better chain from somewhere else and my jewelry needs somewhere else as well! read more

This review is for jewelry repair. I have had two rings repaired through this location. In both instances, the rings were shipped out and repaired off-site. Ring #1 - Diamond Wedding Ring - Small missing diamond replaced and basket with prongs for center stone was replaced. The cost was $210 and the repair took almost a month but was quoted as such. The ring arrived on-time and looked good. The ring was cleaned prior to pick-up and looked brand-new. Ring #2 - Emerald Ring with Diamonds - Small missing emerald replaced for $200. The repair took a month and was quoted as such. It arrived after the promised date. My wife wore it for a day and the replaced stone fell out. The receipt stated "tightened multiple stones." We brought it back the next day and they promised a date within two weeks. The ring did not arrive on time and took two additional weeks. The ring arrived and was not cleaned prior to giving the ring back. Service - The service was friendly but seemed to be out of touch with the external repairs. My advice is to use a jeweler with an on-site repair area. read more

I went to Kay Jewelers in Tyler Galleria on Wednesday, Dec. 18th, to buy my wife a necklace for Christmas. When I showed the clerk a picture of what I wanted, which was taken off the website, he told me it was not in stock and he could not get the necklace in until a week after Christmas. After I went home, I went on Kay Jewelers main website. They guaranteed next day delivery. I placed the order at 12:30 on the 18th and received the necklace the next day at 4:00 PM. My wife and I were in the market to upgrade her wedding ring. Original place I bought it offered 110% credit towards the upgrade but unfortunately she didn't seem to love any of their rings:((tears) therefore decided to shop around since we had no hurry. We strolled through the mall one evening and dropped in to Kay Jewelers. The wife absolutely loved one of their rings. I could tell by the look in her eye. The sales associaye and Lexi, the store manager, answered ma.y of our questions and even provided us with information of an upcoming holiday sale. Lexi offered her business card and asked us to contact her for any further questions. I contacted Lexi during the week and we worked through the price and numbers via telephone. She offered to place the ring on hold for us as the sale was a couple days out. During the week we visited a few major jewelers including The Jewelry Exchange of Tustin. We viewed some very beautiful and extravegant diamond and rings. There was a certain cut diamond the wife seemed to love and chose a ring at this major Jeweler. By this time we had been educated on diamonds and we both questioned whether that diamond and ring at Kay Jewelers was as beautiful as she thought. Especially after now viewing many diamonds. So we asked this major Jeweler to place the ring my wife chose on hold for us. We dropped in at Kay Jewelers. The sales associate was great and Lexi had the ring reserved for my wife as she said she would. My wife tried the ring on and I could see it in her eyes she loved it the same as the first time she tried it on. I then looked at the diamond, as if somehow im an expert jeweler now....I agreed that it was a beautiful diamond and ring. We made the purchase. The wife was happy and the ring shopping was over! Lexi was awesome. She was personable and professional. A couple days later, the wife shared how the cashier at the grocery store complemented and raved about her diamond ring....which prompt me to write this review. Shady place. Honestly just go somewhere else. I came to get my rope fixed and when I came to pick up they switched it out for another rope. I'm assuming they gave me a fake because the guy that took care of me no longer works there. I had to call corporate to get this handled. Not to mention the supervisor at the time (Lexi) was being a straight up ass. She was coming at me with attitude when I was just questioning why the necklace I got in return was bigger then the actual one I bought. It's as if she was mad that I found out. Never shopping here ever again. Pinche putas. Don't fall for their financing if you can't make your payments on time too. Luckily I didn't have this problem but I lost my debt card and I had auto payments. They blew up my whole saying I missed a payment I was like hold up my debt card was just lost. Smh read more

Have had so many issues with my fiancé ring and wedding band. 1. Engagement ring arrived late. 2.When I went to pick up the ring I waited over an hour while they looked for it and figured out how to give it to me. 3.Ring had some imperfections on the bottom of it. 4. One of the smaller diamonds fell off after she wore it for about 2 or 3 weeks (She works in the finance world, so it wast due to rough wear) 5. When I took the ring back so they could address that issue with the diamond that fell I specifically told them about the imperfection on the bottom. When the ring came back I received an email informing me that the ring was ready I called ahead to make sure it was actually ready and that my issues had been addressed the woman that answered the phone had a tone and said "well what does the email say?" Well if I'm calling to confirm it's ready, it's obvious the email says it's ready, however, I've had several issues with this store I wanted to make sure it actually was ready but I didn't get a chance to voice my concerns because upon hearing the women's attitude over the phone I decided not to engage with her. 6 When I arrived at the store the store manager immediately greeted me by name (They know me very well because of the issues I've had.) He has the employee apologized, however, I don't want to deal with that individual. I want my ring back and to go on about my day. When he brought my ring and gave it to me the diamond that fell off had been fixed, HOWEVER, the imperfection on the bottom was not. 7 The store manager apologized and said they would overnight my ring back to the "shop" and I would have it back next week. (Had it not been fixed I would not have driven to the store 30 min one way after work to wait another 30 minutes while they figure what they are going to do. 8. The ring does not appear to have been overnighted to the shop because I didn't receive the email stating that the ring had been received by the shop for another 7 days. Save your money don't order from this place or at least not this store. The store manager has apologized several times, however, I just want the product I ordered to be fixed and for you and your staff to stop wasting my time. Im in about 8k with both the engagement ring and her wedding band keep in mind we provided the main diamond. This is not acceptable and I received a call informing me that the ring won't be ready for another week or 2 after I was told I would have it this week originally. read more

They. Lost. My. Engagement. Ring! My fiance went to Kay Jewelers in November 2017 and designed the perfect engagement ring - one of a kind based on some ideas he and I had previously discussed! He proposed in December 2017 at Rockefeller Center while we watched the ice skaters on the infamous ice rink. When discussing possible wedding bands that would fit perfectly with the engagement ring, my fiance told me that Kay would be able to customer design the rings for me, but would need my engagement ring for approximately 4-6 weeks. We took my engagement ring in at the end of February 2018. At the end of April 2018, after several requests for updates, we were advised that the wax molds were in and we could stop my the store and look at them. We did that and was told it would probably be another couple weeks. At the end of May 2018, we were sent a message advising the wedding bands were in and we could pick them up. When we arrived, the person my fiance had been working with, the manager, brought the rings out to me, looked at my finger and said "do you not have your engagement ring?" My fiance and I were caught off guard and all I could say was "No, you still have it." We were advised that the engagement ring was not with the wedding bands, and the manager needed to call the vendor. Long story short, the vendor was closed but we were assured that the engagement ring had to have been at the vendor's office. After finger pointing between the vendor and Kay, the manager advised that they were opening an investigation and if the didn't find it, they would remake me one. Uh, yes they would! My fiance and I received very little updates during the alleged investigation and needless to say, a new ring had to be made. Then... once the new engagement ring was made, the wedding bands did not fit - so new wedding bands needed to be made. When we finally got the call that ALL my bands were ready for pick up, the manager advised she would be there when we picked up the bands. We drove back to Riverside from Temecula and guess who asked for the day off? They have no idea how they made us feel... and the lack of respect still blows my mind. Out of shits and giggles, my fiance texted the manager again about 2 weeks ago and asked if there was anything they could do to assist with the purchasing of his wedding band - we were ignored. Think twice... especially if you have a family heirloom. Can you imagine if they lost that? read more

She gave us dirty looks while in the store and the second time we came back she told us to sign this paper so they "don't have to deal with this" anymore. Really wanted this necklace but ended up returning it about 15 mins later just on principle alone. Can't stand bad customer service. Lexi, the manager, is horrible. She's so rude! She had a attitude problem. Her answers were short with me and she never smiled. When she was writing down my name for the engraving, she said D as in Dog! Wtheck! I kinda smirked and then said, actually it's D as in David! She didn't even look up... just kept on writing all stuck up. When I asked about price for engraving, she gave me a different price then I was quoted. She then walked away all snotty and let us finish the sale with the sales girl. I nixed the engraving since they lied about price and she was so rude when spelling it out. I bought it. I really really wanted it. But nah... why give business to someone like that. I went in the store in March I had my mind set on the ring I've been looking at for months. I thought I knew what I wanted but once I began to try them on it only got more difficult. Luckily we had Lexie help my boyfriend and I beginning to end, she was very patient and I never felt rushed which was great! I've been to other jewelers where they make faces for asking to try on a bunch of rings but NOT HERE. The other staff members were also very friendly. I am writing this because me and my girlfriend were treated with such disrespect and lied to about the first time ring size fees! One person told me that the first resizing would be free and when I took my girlfriend to get it sized somebody else told me, "oh that person lied to you to make a sale. I was looking to upgrade my 14 year old wedding set and I didnt really want to part with my original ring but after 3 - 4 weeks of searching and going to about 5 different stores I decided to stay with Kay. I purchased a ring and a seperate center stone but changed my mind after I got it so I asked Lexi for custom quote. I was trying to keep and or use my original ring to customize a ring with a bigger center stone. The custom price was in my budget, I was able to use all my original diamonds, added a additional third row and upgraded my center stone. I DID IT!! I customized my own ring which looks amazing! With my old center stone Lexi suggested I put it in a bail and use it as a charm around my neck (awesome idea). I'm so thankful and grateful that Lexi and Katie both helped me with all the details and purchase of my amazing ring. Also to the rest of the staff who helped me when they were too busy, Thanks to Jasmine too. I had a hard time giving up my original but with a custom ring I was able too keep everything after all! The comments I've been getting about my ring make me feel like I made the right choice. It never hurts to ask about a custom piece.
