I first called in to see if their appraisal specialist was there and found out it is a family owned jeweler and the son is a GIA trained diamond specialist, he was very kind over the phone and welcomed me to come in same day for an appraisal. He not only did appraisals, but ring cleaning and rhodium plating if needed during the process. The store is located in a cute little shopping center with a simply elegant storefront. The store is very secure and safe with two locked doors to enter and exit. We were met by the son, Michelangelo, who was very pleasant to work with. He explained the process to me and that he could do everything right now in front of me. This was a huge relief because a lot of jewelers say you drop off your diamond and they will call you to come back when the appraisal is complete. I did not feel comfortable leaving my diamond with anyone, but Michelangelo assured me everything would be done right in front of me. He pulled out his microscope to read my GIA number on the side of my diamond and even let me look through the lenses to show me where my number was located as well. The entire process took about 10 min, which was extended longer because we were talking so much and he was teaching me about my diamond. He said he does a lot of custom pieces so we talked about a custom wedding band for my fiancé. Overall, very pleased with this experience. Michelangelo was extremely knowledgeable and had great customer service. I highly recommend Geneva Jewelry not only for jewelry appraisals, but for beautifully crafted custom jewelry pieces.

Be careful with this business. I bought a wedding band set at Kevin Jewelers, and my ring broke in half after only one month of use, and there was a crack in my partner's ring. I took it to another jeweler who said that it is was gold-filled and not real gold. Gold is NOT supposed to break, even though the salesperson told me that her gold rings break and that this is normal. Make sure you bring your glasses and inspect the engravings on the inside of the ring well if you want to buy it here. "FA," which I was told was the brand of the ring is actually "FG," or gold-filled. Of course they refused to give me a refund. read more

Bought a gold bracelet 2 weeks ago and it broke right away. I was perplexed why they kept saying "no refunds" and had me sign/initial the receipt. Frankly I think this is part of their sales philosophy. Get you to buy something fine or delicate and then if it has problems UPSELL you into something else. When she returned t lo tell the lady she didnt want the battery the woman told her it was too late. The woman refused to give her back the watch after we told her we didn't want the battery. The woman claimed that the cancelation fee was $20 and the battery was $20. Needless to say she kept the watch and would not give it back to a 12yr old. The cops were called and they told us it was a civil matter. I will also be reporting them to the BBB!

The moment he tried to put it on, the chain immediately fell apart into even more pieces than it had originally been in before the repair. I went back calmly to explain what happened, expecting them to stand behind their work. Instead, they told me I would have to pay again to have it repaired. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable I simply wanted them to fix a repair that failed immediately. Instead of making the situation right, they refused to take responsibility and wanted to charge me again. Not only did I pay for a repair that didn't last even a few seconds, but the chain was returned to me in worse condition than when I first brought it in. I feel like I paid for a service that was never actually provided. This experience was incredibly disappointing, and because of it, I would never recommend this shop to anyone.
