Support Local: My first time here and it was well worth it. We drove from Scottsdale to meet friends who were in the area heading up north. The food is delicious, homemade, and well prepared. The restaurant is airy, comfortable, and oh so clean. The owners and staff are welcoming, friendly, and engaging. We had such a wonderful meal and visit. I highly recommend and will make a point of returning when I am in the valley.

We decided to head over from Surprise to get so breakfast. We like to look for a local spot and after passing a few spots that were ridiculously busy we found Fast Eddie's Diner. I was surprised to see it pretty empty. We were greeted right away and I loved the old school music playing. Vibe is a bit Sun City breakfast vibe to me with a flair of diner. Booths were comfortable and I loved that they had their condiments up off the table and screwed a bit higher up on the wall so a family can actually fit all their food comfortably. Our waitress was great and we had our food in no time. I ordered the bacon and eggs with pancakes and a side of sourdough toast. We also ordered the bog breakfast I can't remember what it was called specially but came with sausage, three eggs, hash browns and a side of gravy for the biscuits. Everything came out so fast. Hash browns were cooked great and a crispy top. Toast was good and bacon crisp. The pancakes were amazing! Fluffy, sweet and oh so good. They made my entire meal. Prices were fair and food good. It is your diner type food. If you're looking for fancy flair this isn't your jam. Great stop.

When I was checking this place out on Yelp, I got the impression it's a scratch made kitchen. It's not. It's your typical Sysco Foods breakfast joint. I always check to see if they make their own chicken fried steak because, if they do, that's what I'm going to have. I asked the waitress if they make their own, or if it's frozen. Being new, she didn't know and said she'd have to ask the kitchen. The answer they gave her was 'it's fresh'. I kind of gave her a 'what the hell does that mean' look and thanked her for checking. A short time later she came over, said she talked to a waitress that has been there a long time, and she said it's frozen. I went with the Nicholson omelette, O'Brien potatoes (for $2 more), and sourdough toast with extra butter. When the food arrived, instead of diced O'Brien potatoes, they were shredded hashbrowns, with cheese, onions, and peppers. When I asked her not to charge me the $2 extra for the diced O'Brien potatoes I ordered, she said the cheese, onions, and peppers are what makes them 'O'Brien'. Not where I come from or any picture or description of the dish on the internet! The toast was dry and you have to butter it yourself. If I wanted to make my own food, I'd stay home. The omelette was okay. I'd give it 2.5 stars. Everything else, 1 star. The loud 50's music is obnoxious (surprise - this is a theme restaurant). I could go the rest of my life not hearing the Purple People Eater song! Although new, the waitress did a fine job.

The food was great, portions crazy, and the service was excellent. Their hash was grilled perfectly with a bit of crunch! Their skillets are amazing and come out on the hot skillet. And their sides are meals in themselves, mine was biscuits and gravy and my wife's was a huge pancake! This is our kind of breakfast!

Friday Fish Fry is the best!! I've always had great food that's hot and fresh here. I stopped for the Friday Fish Fry for lunch with my mom, and it was just perfect. The fries were hot and crispy and the fish was lightly battered, which I like, and very flaky. The service was excellent and I will be coming back soon! read more

Ordered the triple decker three eggs three pancakes three sausages and three bacons strips! And split it with the wife. Wow. Pancakes were delicious and the waitress Kristen was sweet as ever. Always enjoy our talks with Mr. Moon too. This is the best kept secret breakfast place in Glendale. You've got to try this place out and see for yourself. read more

This place is out of this world. I had their chili skillet which came with an egg, steak and Potato's. There was virtually no one here for Breakfast. There isn't a lot of staff and the service is just okay, but the food is chef's kiss. They need to be busier. read more

I miss Don, the food, the prices, the atmosphere,, none of it is the same.. I have been there several times after the new owners took over, the coffee might as well have been hot water, no amount of creamer could help it, last week took a co worker there for breakfast we both had two scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy and two slices of bacon.. it was meh, then the bill came and I wondered how they felt charging me $45 for breakfast for two people, and I realized they really don't care. So if you're looking for a place where the food is so-so and WAY over priced Fast Eddies is your place,, I saw one review that said the service was fast,, better be when you're the only one there. You are better off going to Ihop or Denny's the food may not that much better but your wallet won't take a hit., coincidently both of those restaurants are close by.. read more

This morning (8/30/24) we had breakfast at Fast Eddies. We've been eating here for years as it's one of our favorite spots when we come to visit our uncle. I should have written this review years ago but better late than never. Moon and his team are awesome! They make you feel like family, taking the time to get to know you and interact on a personal level. The food is always great and the service is second to none. We had Ethan's Birthday here. Excellent food, great service and a friendly place to get together. Well worth five stars. UPDATE: My review needs an update. Ethan is our grandson and his mom chose Fast Eddie's. Great pick. After the get together we had the opportunity to meet the owners. I only wish we lived nearby. We live 30 miles away. I would make this a regular stop. HOWEVER, if you are local this is a must stop for breakfast or lunch. Today with so many chain operations, of which many are very good. I personally prefer a locally owned and run operation. That's exactly what you get here. Two entrepreneurs, hard working and on site. We ALL need to support these kind of businesses. Thank you Fast Eddie's for a great birthday. There were 16 of us and from my observation at least a dozen different plates chosen. And 16 plates eaten clean. What else do I need to say. read more

I forgot to take a picture before our entire meal was gone!! Such a great atmosphere with the staff so friendly. You would think everyone eating here was family. That's how nice the staff is to everyone. Our food was delicious again. 10/10 for the steak dinner (available before 10am every day). My husband can't stop raving about how good it is and what a great value. I wanted biscuits and gravy and they didn't disappoint either. Biscuits are delicious and not dry and gravy has good flavor. Our sever suggested the perfect meal for what I was looking for. Again, they are so nice here. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast. read more

We came across Fast Eddie's by accident really. Fast Eddie was my late husband's nickname, so for fun my son and I stopped. I'm so glad that we did. The food is amazing, the prices are great..the quantity is huge, you can easily share their skillets, which is what we ordered, between two adults. Everything was fresh and made in house. Their pancakes were amazing, light and fluffy and served with warm syrup. I really recommend this place. It has a old school dinner vibe which makes it so charming read more

Discovered this through a friends suggestion. The interior is very cute and the 50's music playing suggests bopping your head along to the music. We went for Friday night fish fry. All you can eat for 10.99 and free ice cream too! Sweet deal! I've had breakfast here as well and that is always good. Prices are inexpensive and wait servers are on top of things. Seriously Do Not Come to This Place, The food prices Shot up since the new owners took over, And The staff is rude as hell. The food is disgusting, they seriously need to fire their line cook, Idk what dumpster they pulled them from but they clearly don't have a talent for cooking. This place looks like a chain- a cross between Village Inn and Mel's Diner, but it is the epitome of small, family owned businesses. The food is fantastic and the service is always excellent. They are happy to make any adjustments you would like to your meal. They love kids and do everything to make their experience special including giving them complementary ice cream (with their parent's permission) at the end of the meal. Remember it's a diner. The food is decent, the portions are large, the menu is diverse, and the service is expedient. My wife and I visited on Saturday around 11:00 am. No line / no waiting - looked like the staff had just survived the morning rush. We were seated promptly at a clean table. Coffee and water arrived soon thereafter. Takes awhile to peruse the menu. My wife chose a waffle, two eggs, and crispy bacon and I got the Cajun skillet minus the onions. The food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The waffle was good, but not as crisp as she hoped for. The bacon was crisp and had a good flavor. The skillet was prepared w/o onion and was delicious. A huge portion, which required a take home box. A mixture of sausage, peppers, and red potatoes topped with cheese and three eggs cooked over easy. This entree comes with a choice of toast, pancake, or biscuits & gravy. I got the biscuit and gravy. This was virtually a meal in itself. It was good, the biscuit was large and of a good balance between fluffy and dense. Smothered in lots of white gravy. I ate all of the biscuits & gravy on site and took home half of the skillet. Service was attentive, bathrooms were clean, the food was good, and we would go back. read more

We opened this restaurant in March, 2010, in an old Village Inn. Our goal was to create a bright, genial, clean environment serving value-priced meals. And now, after two years, we're getting there. We hope you will enjoy it.

Bonnie started her business career as a file clerk for a Los Angeles stock broker. She has opened discount brokerages, been complex compliance-risk officer for companies like Morgan Stanley, Paine Webber and UBS. She retired recently to manage the restaurants.

To give credit where it's due, the ambience of the restaurant was great. The live music was enjoyable and the dancing created a fun atmosphere. The women's restroom was also impressive -- clean, well stocked, and the mirror with the neon sign made for a great photo moment. Unfortunately, the service and food did not live up to the setting. Our waitress appeared overwhelmed and, at times, came across as outright rude. I understand the pressures of working in a busy restaurant, but hospitality is still the foundation of the service industry. I actually found myself going out of my way to "kill her with kindness" just to avoid receiving the same snarky tone she used with some of my friends. It worked -- she was civil with me -- but it shouldn't take that level of effort from guests. The food was where things really fell apart. The buffet setup was poorly executed. The foil buffet pans repeatedly slipped into the chafing water, which ended up soaking the food. Any experienced food service professional knows the proper way to handle this: bring the replacement pan first and swap them out simultaneously. Instead, the staff removed the empty pans and walked back to the kitchen, leaving empty slots in the buffet while guests waited. As a result, several dishes were compromised. The mac and cheese was completely runny, clearly diluted from water getting into the pan. This happened to multiple items. The fried pickles were also a miss -- not crispy, extremely salty and sour, and tasted like low-quality hamburger dill pickle chips that had been breaded and fried. No one at our table enjoyed them and several people commented that they were far too tangy. There also seemed to be serious communication issues between the kitchen and the floor staff. Buffet items were frequently empty and slow to be replaced. The "salad," if you could call it that, was essentially a bowl of lettuce with no tomatoes, cucumbers, or vegetables -- just plain greens. Toward the end of service, the restaurant even ran out of dinner plates, leaving remaining guests to use small salad plates. The only items I somewhat enjoyed were the margarita pizza flatbread and the bacon jalapeño wontons, which were decent but nothing memorable. Beyond that, my meal consisted mostly of a bowl of very uninspired lettuce. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, it genuinely pains me to leave such a critical review. I don't write this out of spite, but out of hope that management sees it as an opportunity to evaluate what's happening on the floor and in the kitchen. There is clearly potential here given the atmosphere and entertainment. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

If you want good food friendly service, and a clean table DONT EAT HERE!!!!! Go to Alexis on 19thave and union Hills, cuz this Fast eddies is a DIVE. I heard about it from a friend but I will stay a regular at Alexis thank you.... At Fast Eddies Diner The tables are so dirty if you move the sugars and stuff there is black underneath them, they use these white bowls for trash on the tables and dont ever change them apparently ( Our waitress Crystal said they just empty them and leave them on the tables,,,GROSS), Another waitress was in the bathroom at the same time as i was , didnt seem to remove her apron ( bad enough she wore it INTO the bathroom) and very quickly washed her hands ( about 5 seconds) . I was appalled and glad she wasnt my waitress, but curious as to the food safety and my health. The food is sub par at best, the best thing was the toast. Nice size, but the hashbrowns werent cooked barely hot in the middle , my over medium eggs were not cooked right, they were for sure over easy, The yolk was all snotty and runny white. that was just the food. We arrived at 8:40 and they were kinda busy but she didnt take my order until a few minutes after 9 then told me I couldnt have the 6-9 special since it was now after 9 am....Fine, if she wasnt talking for 5 minutes to some bald guy ( maybe the manager) and some blond waitress (same one who wore her apron INTO the bathroom) who seemed upset or frazzled because she had 2 tables orders to take at the same time shortly after we were sat. Crystal wouldve been able to get my order in by 9 a.m. this waitress was rude, seemed like we were bothering her by being there. Crystal was her name. She was so busy flirting and talking to a table of 3 guys that was the other reason it took her 20 min to even take our order. She did well on the table they were at though. we didnt get a smile or anything. than she gave us our ticket with the food like she just couldnt get rid of us fast enough. (The bus boy cleaning the tables was nicer than our server) This is the worst service I have ever had, especially with a manager present. Oh, the manager guy just sat at a booth with some lady and talked, read the paper, was oblivious to the waitress behavior or didnt care not sure which. I get better treatment at Jack in The Box and they dont even speak english there. So folks dont bother eating here if you want good service and a clean place with good food where you dont have to worry about getting Ecoli from the waitresses, they do touch everything on your table after all. Not a place for kids unless you want them to catch a foodborn illness. A little advise for the owner, if your company makes almost as much as your does on a yearly basis ( information available on Manta.com) you can afford to wash your tables and hire good friendly waitstaff. Maybe you should get a manager or someone who cares about the customers, the cleanliness, food safety, and behavior of your waitresses. read more

I used to be quite a regular customer until this past Sunday...It has been bothering me all week so I had to create an account just for this review. We had to wait for a table ( no biggie was only 5 minutes), as we sat in the very back of the diningroom we had a very good waitress. She was quite friendly, made us laugh the first 2 seconds at the table and pretty much everytime she came by to fill coffee or water. I cant recall her name, a very difficult and unique one, anyways, she was fantastic. We had to wait a little for our food but the service was worth it. As we were getting readyto leave we saw and heard a nearby table a little upset about the wait for the meal, the waitress was fast to apologize, explain the situation, (my wife stated was a valid one as she herself is a waitress), and get a manager. I have been here before and met him briefly once he is the owner I think, a real peice of work if you ask me. He has a rude face and doesnt seem friendly at all. He was outright rude to the waitress when it seemed by the conversation it was the waitime for the food mostly that angered the other table. This guy got all over this girl right in front of us, as she explained the situation. I will never bring my son back to this resteraunt. the food is somewhat good for the price, the service was excellent, but if Im supporting an ass owner such as he I will not be back. I left her a $10 tip just for the sake of how wonderful she was to us, even though it took a bit. I would rather have great service and have to wait a little, to eat somewhat edible food, be treated like Im an important customer, and have an enjoyable time with my family, than eat at Dennys or Wafflehouse. However Eddies has seen the last of us, due to the graphic nature of the treatment of its employees...I myself would offer this woman a job at my company and I may go back just to do so..I dont have to eat there. read more

I recently visited Fast Eddie's Diner in Phoenix and was blown away by the quality of the food and service. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, with a retro diner feel and a friendly staff that made me feel right at home. The menu had a wide variety of options! I ended up trying the chili cheeseburger and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time - cooked to perfection and topped with Amazing Chili. The fries were also delicious, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You could tell everything was fresh. The service was top-notch, with the waitstaff going above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. They were friendly and attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Fast Eddie's Diner and would highly recommend it to anyone in the Phoenix area. The food is okay. I have been there 5 or 6 times. Have never had the same server twice. I have heard that the owner or manager, the old bald headed guy is an asshole and hard to work for. I found that out for sure. I was in with a group of 5 friends for breakfast. I guess we stayed too long, about 2 hours. After paying our bill and leaving a generous tip, we were asked to leave by baldy. Will certainly never return and will bad mouth this place for sure. read more
