The salon was clean, professional, and Lily was quick and skilled. Pro tip- make an appointment. I was here visiting some family and needed my nails done before my next trip. I live in San Diego where I am loyal to one nail tech. The salon is clean, and Tommie was very polite & friendly. But unfortunately within a couple of days I noticed lifting at the edges, and hairs were "catching" while washing my hair. I let the salon know right away and Tommy had me come back in a few days later. I was reassured everything was sealed properly and I was good to go. Two weeks later when I had the dip removed at another salon, severe lifting/separation of my natural nail beds was revealed on all ten nails--one of the worst cases the removing tech said she'd seen from a single dip manicure. My nails will take many months to grow out fully healthy again. I'm mostly sharing this because I'm disappointed and a little heartbroken--and I'd hate for anyone else to go through the same lengthy recovery.

Because the gel wasn't all removed, the new polish was uneven and not smooth. I should've said something then, but how am I supposed to tell them how to do their job correctly? No base coat was put down and, after putting on the polish, it didn't come out right so she attempted to redo them. I thought the 2nd try would've been better but it was worse! After complaining later on, I kept being told that I should've said something at that time. It wasn't just a bad job, but she couldn't do her job properly. I was charged an arm and a leg as well! I made an appointment with someone specific, but then they tried to give me somebody else who didn't really look like she knew what she was doing so I waited for the person that I originally made the appointment with. I didn't have any other plans so I didn't mind waiting, but that was quite frustrating in general. I had to wait about a half hour. The gel manicure was fantastic. She put on the right amount of coats that I wanted considering the color was very light, everything was perfect. Now they're not so good part is within 48 hours. I had three nails that were already starting to lift off at the base of the cuticle. The part I was not expecting. So I gave it a three star considering the time I had to wait and the fact that the polish the gel was already coming off within 48 hours. Otherwise, I think it's a nice place and they do very good work.
