The first time I ate here it was so good! One of the best pizza's I've probably ever had However, I ordered a couple pizzas and cheesy bread for my birthday dinner and was beyond disappointed. I only recently made a Yelp account and never wanted to leave negative review but I paid 68$ for two over cooked and dry pizzas. The cheesy bread was completely over seasoned and looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for several hours when we picked it up. The pizza was black on the bottom and the crust was incredibly chewy. I'm not a rich person, not by any means. this was supposed to be a birthday treat...and it wasn't at all worth what we paid. TL:DR - My pizza was seriously lacking salt and flavor. I can count on one hand the times I've wanted to add salt to food I've gotten from a restaurant, and my pizza tonight is one of them. I ordered a Margherita pizza, and it was the most bland pizza I've ever had. Not sure if it was the sauce or the crust or both, but it genuinely needed salt to be enjoyable. Restaurant food has a stereotype of high sodium, which I know is a bad thing in high quantities. But the lack of it tonight, WAS NOT BETTER. This was literally the most bland pizza I've ever tasted in my life. (If you read my few yelp reviews, there's another review with a no salt complaint. So it may seem like something that bothers me a lot, but it really is a rarity for my dining experiences. The 2 times I've mentioned lack of salt in food reviews were just that significant. This was our second time here. We came with a group of friends (6). Once our food arrived we were totally ignored. My husband tried 6 times to get our waitresses attention as she went by our table only to be ignored. There was no checking back on how are food or drinks were. After we finished eating we sat with a table full of dirty plates as we tried to converse. Our pizzas were not that good and very overpriced for what you got. Worst experience with a wait time ever. If you aren't allowing your customers to call to be put on a waiting list then get your s**t together. We called ahead from down town Puyallup. Wow we had birthday dinner here yesterday. The Bangers & Mash this month's featured pizza was strange for pizza but actually tasted good. The large "make your own" with sauce with the little cup pepperoni with sun dried tomatoes red peppers and three diff cheeses was pitiful. Tiny pieces of stuff. Over all a fairly average experience with good tasting food. The menu has a nice variety and was the reason we went there. There is something for everyone and they seem to pull off the menu variety with a good tasting menu. Overall a good experience though the wait staff seemed a bit pushed for time, maybe due to the large amount of customers, not a bad thing. read more

I was there last night Taylor our server got our friend drunk. She ordered vodka sodas but he decided she should be drinking doubles. She didn't order a double, nor does she ever order a double! The other person in our three top ordered a double but not her. It is not cool to assume someone wants a double. I can't tell you how angry I am with our server Taylor! I pretty much come here for one dish, their crab spinach and artichoke dip. It's great seeing a place that still swings for bread instead of chips for the dip and they make such a hot delicious blend that I can enjoy as my whole meal. Lately my father has been complaining about the service. It was so bad bad that he had to walk out and let his wife deal with it one day. I must have gotten lucky when he took me on a visit because our waitress was fantastic even though we were stuck awkwardly by the front door it was an enjoyable experience. I went here on Sept 26th to have a nice lunch with my family, our waitress, Chelsey, really made us feel unwelcome. We had a spilled soda and when we found her she went to get napkins and threw them down on the table, then left. We sat there for about 10 minutes with a big pile of wet napkins in the middle of our table. She didn't come back until our food was ready. I asked her for a cloth to wash the sticky table and she brought back a dry rag and left again. The next day I went to their website to contact someone about our experience and no one bothered to respond. I didn't want anything but an acknowledgement that they would talk to this waitress about Customer service but they didn't respond. We are new to the Sumner area and just found our new favorite pizza place! The Northwest Special was amazing...I immediately took a picture based on looks alone...and I was not dissatisfied. The food was A-OK! I prefer my wood fire pizza a little more charred, the crust was pretty light colored and therefore a little soggier than I like, but the toppings were delicious. We had the Deluxe, the Margarita and the a plain cheese for the plain kids. We also had their Caesar Salad, and a couple of kids meals. I recommend skipping the Kids Mac & Cheese (it's Kraft), but the homemade one is very good. I would have given one more star, but we had an issue with the service (not our server). We were in town for a volleyball tournament. My family had ordered take out to pick up on our way to the hotel. After we paid and were on our way out, we ran into three of our teammate's families. They were eating in and asked us to stay. My kids, of course wanted to stay with their friends, so we did. We already had our food, and told the server we would order drinks and of course tip on the original bill. (As a server myself, I am always a generous tipper.) When we were almost done with her meal, the manager came over and told us that we had broken their rules and that we were not allowed to get take out and eat in. I understand that, and normally we would not do that, but our family of four was now sitting with three additional families for a total 19 people. We had just paid $120 (yes, $120) for our three pizzas, two kids meals and four sodas... I feel like this is a situation where the manager should have made a better judgment call. We tipped out server $40 (cash on $120) and the establishment didn't suffer from our change of plans at all. It was frustrating to feel like (almost accused of) stealing from the restaurant because we got a "take out deal" that they do not offer to in the restaurant to customers (which I think is also strange). The food was great as always, customer service was great. However, I would suggest that you order for pickup. Door dash isn't as careful with your food as they should be. I voiced my concerns and the customer service I received was exceptional. I was spoken to with genuine sincerity and felt that they did care that my experience was less than what it should have been. I spoke with Tori who was extremely nice and took all of my information down and apologized for the lack of care the door dash driver had with my food. I will return to this Farrellis, if not only for the food, but the customer service as well. I've been hearing about this place for about years. I used to date someone in Lacy and she always said Farrelli's was good pizza, but I had already fell in love with Dirty Dave's. Today was my first time trying them and I have to say it was bitter sweet. Let's start with the bad to get it out of the way. I wasn't impressed with the cost. $17 dollars for a pizza lunch special is too much. There is a place by my house that does any small pizza for lunch for $7.99, there isn't a salad included, but that tiny side salad was only worth $2. The topping had no flavor. Two of my favorite things are fennel and sausage and this fennel sausage was flavorless. The crust was flimsy. That was unexpected, most wood fired pizza has a crisp cracker style crust. The meat topping were lite. The picture showed a heavier hand of meat and my pizza looked more like the reduced fat version than the hearty photos I had seen online. Here is the good. The service was good, I really liked the fresh grated cheese, the Canadian bacon was flavorful and the crust tasted really good. The veggies were fresh and crisp. If someone was paying ,I'd come back, but I wouldn't spend a dime in here as you can see the negative far outweighs the positive and I left feeling like I overpaid not only in total cost, but in terms of value as well. When I can literally get better pizza for half the price, that's a problem for me. And if someone was paying, I'd also recommend we went elsewhere if they wanted value for their dollar. Clearly this place has it's fans, but either I got the saddest pizza in Sumner today, or what I find most often, is people just don't understand where to find good food. Here's the deal. This place has good pizza. Sometimes even great pizza - BUT - the service is inconsistent at best, and rude at it's worst. Tonight we called in our pizza order (for takeout) around 5 pm. Girl says it will be 35 min. - a little long, but okay fine. So 5:35 we get there for the pick up and there's roughly 30 people standing (waiting) around inside the front door. No one seems to know what's going on. Delivery drivers looking annoyed, people waiting to be seated - plenty of staff running around - but no one stopping to ask what we need or how any of us can be helped. Finally we were able to stop someone and ask about our takeout order. The young woman wasn't sure where it was. She said she'd go "look for it". This is now 45 min since we placed the order. Meanwhile, another party ended up leaving because the wait was so long and no one seemed to be getting seated or helped at all. Finally, at 6:05 we got our pizza...and guess what? it wasn't even HOT. And zero apology or any acknowledgement from the staff or manager for the wait or confusion. Very disappointing. The pizza would've been great IF it had been fresh. This is not the first time we've shown up to pick up an order and it hasn't been ready or it was "missing". I think we're done with Farrelli's. read more

This is our go to local pizza joint. The pizza has always been great over the years and I can't ever recall ever having a poor experience. We love the small town vibes of the place and service has always been excellent. The bar area has a great gas fire place that folks can sit around and enjoy their evening. Great selection of local beers to choose from. We use to spend more time here (pre covid) for the trivia night. I don't know if they are still doing this but we still stop in once in a while for some of that tasty pizza. Keep on rockin Farrelli's! read more

I gave this restaurant 2 stars because we love the staff. We have eaten here so many times I can't begin to tell the exact number of visits. The lack of 3 more stars is because we left yesterday concerned about how COVID-19 safe we were eating in-house. While our server, someone we recognized and who recognized us, was great, we were shocked at the shoulder-to-shoulder customers seated at both the available bar tops and the fire pit. When we inquired about these close-seated customers we were told by our server, "well I don't know the rules; I just work here." If they are non-compliant out front then what is the level of compliance in the kitchen? While I very much emphasize with the financial struggle of our restaurants, we can't put ourselves at risk and we have to judge where it is safe to eat and where to avoid. read more

I've been here several times and have to say this location is hit or miss. That being said, when they hit, it's out of the park. Every time we go we have the pep pep basil and cream cheese. It is the only way to go. Yesterday I called in an order for pickup. I could tell it was the height of the dinner hour and I understood being put on hold for several minutes. However, after several minutes on hold I was hung up on. Not simply disconnected, but picked up on (I could hear the sounds of the kitchen) then hung up on. Again, it sounds busy and things happen so no big deal, I call back. The nice woman who answers does so immediately and takes my order. No reason to hold this time? Weird, but great. I arrive 25 minutes later, driving from Milton to Sumner for this pizza that is more than a pizza. It's a reward for my wife and I after a weekend of caring for our small child inflicted with mono courtesy of EBV. I write this to express how much we looked forward to our pep pep basil with cream cheese pizza. I arrive and stand in the waiting area watching as a handful of employees walk by without a simple acknowledgement of my existance. It was as if I had walked through the doors and had been temporarily transformed into a ghost. While in my ghost state, I looked around and listened intently and noticed something shocking. Either I had misjudged how busy they were or everyone had cleared out in the 25 minutes it took to arrive. So I began to question the prior issues. After several minutes my ghost state wore off and a nice woman finally acknowledged me. She asks for my name, rings me up, brings me my pizza and I leave. I get to my car and open the pizza to get a glance at its greasy beauty and I come face to face with a mountain range of cream cheese. Instead of being nicely drizzled around the pizza as it always is, there are mounds of cream cheese lumped across it as if someone used an ice cream scoop as an applicator. Gross! I go back in carrying my mountain of cream cheese pizza. While en route to the entrance I pass several people who had just ate at the same place but inside and they quipped, "Bad take out from farellis? Nothing shocking there." Apparently this isn't a new thing for this location. I get back in and am greeted by a waiter immediately. We discuss what was wrong and he returns it to the kitchen to be remade. It'll take 20 minutes. Several minutes later the manager comes up to me and apologizes for the issue. She explains the kitchen had an issue with the normal sauce applicator so they tried to improvise and failed. She said it was unacceptable, had coached the staff, and provided me a gift certificate for a free 16" pizza next time. I appreciated all her gestures and the staff put together a great 2nd pizza. I'll return to Farellis because I'm addicted to this pizza but I do wish their service (from phone through the consistency of the quality of product) would improve. The food was good but the final bill left a bad taste in our mouths! Our server corrected a charge (we noticed) for salads originally stated to be included with our lunch order. We felt the server did an overall good job so we elected to add a a 20% gratuity to the final bill. Unfortunately for us, the mobile payment device (provided table side by our server) charged us $14.10 for a tip that should have been $11.60.
