I was in search for a metal retainer. I was tired of my clear retainer because it had cracked. My orthodontist office didn't offer one, which was super inconvenient. Luckily Smile Doctors was able to make me one. I had been to this office as a teenager my first go round with braces. The original office was the office of Dr. O'Donnell and his wife. I learned he had moved onto another office closer to his home. Smile Doctors's COVID protocol is top notch. When you arrive, you can call or text that you've arrived. They greet you at the door and ask the necessary questions, take your temperature and provide hand sanitizer. Everyone is so kind and friendly! They welcomed me like I had been going here for years. Great thing about getting my mold is that they didn't have to do that nasty, pasty mold that makes you want to barf! They use a wand and take a virtual mold of your mouth. Technology at its finest! The process for getting my retainer a week later was just as quick and easy. I truly enjoy this office, the staff and Dr. Farrah! I wish I had gotten my braces done here for my second round of braces! read more

We solicited several orthodontist opinions around the Pflugerville/Round Rock area before settling on Dr. Farrah for both our kids. All of the pricing seemed to be pretty standard, so it really fell to our impressions of the doctors and staff, and Dr. Farrah edged out the others. Dr. Farrah seemed to do a good job with a conservative treatment plan, tracking one of our son's development for a few years before recommending a plan. One thing I didn't love is feeling somewhat pressured to choose Invisalign for our middle schooler, which we did not feel would be a good fit. Once we decided on braces, though, everything was fine. Visits are always very efficient and the staff is nice. It feels like staff are valued here and treated well. I also like the little free snacks and ice cream freezer in the waiting room. One other small downside is when my kids have a broken bracket or a problem, it does seem quite difficult to get them in quickly. But other than that, we've been happy and everything seems on schedule for their braces. read more

We have been coming here since 2021, all three of my kids have braces. I don't have a standard of comparison for orthodontist offices because this is the only one we have ever been to and I never had braces, but my husband told me "this place is like if a nail salon was an orthodontist office" because it's so bougie. The staff and doctors are great, very welcoming and good with kids. They keep frozen treats and coffee in the lobby and snacks for the kids, and they have a tooth-brushing station. They offer payment plans which we are utilizing. Every month they do some kind of cute customer appreciation thing in the lobby, and they also do a lot of philanthropy for our community. I highly recommend this place since it's clean, well organized, and dare I say...fun? read more

Everyone is always sweet and caring , for the most part your always in and out with a good time frame

If you want to prolong wearing braces to double the time they initially sign you up, this is the place to go. I get that business is in demand, but it's kinda crazy how I have to wait til 9/14 to wait for a 3 min appointment to tighten my daughter's braces. Back story. My daughter got upper braces on 4/12/23; bottom braces on 6/1/23. First tightening appointment was not scheduled til 7/27. I work full time as a single mom raising kids ages 5-13. On 7/27 at 3pm. I forgot to look at the calendar that day and made a in person meeting at the office (northwest Austin, and I live in pflugerville) At 2:53pm,I realize I missed this appointment so called the dentist office right now. They said: the next available appointment will be 9/14 (if I want afternoon) and 9/11 if you want morning. They continued to explain that it's busy there because everyone is trying to come in before school - understand, let's do 9/11 morning then if we can. Me: however, going forward, since we know my daughter needs to come monthly to get tightening, can we go ahead and book for the next 36 months (the original braces plan). Person on the phone said NO, because they don't know what the treatment plan is month to month. I proceeded to give her the run down about my history with them. my daughter's first appointment to put on braces was April and bottom braces was put on June 1st. We have been seeing high volume of unavailability since then since we couldn't get the first tightening appointment til end of July. I then asked, if we come in September and we are seeing the same 50-60 out trend, that means my daughter's 36 months plans can then until 72 months. That's kinda ridiculous, don't you think? No answer. My regret: I paid for the whole 36 months plan. Then I proceeded to ask, if I can stop service and if I would get a refund. The lady said I'd have to talk to finance. Me: can you transfer me there then, please? Lady: "she's busy right now" Me: can you have them call me back? Lady: yes absolutely Me: when should I expect a call back? Lady: I'll tell her as soon as they are off the phone. Reminder: this was about 3 pm on a Thursday. Irene: okay thank you. I'll look forward to getting a call back Hung up, grind off my work mode so I can get calls outside of my saved contacts. I am typing this on a Friday and still no call back. So will need to try again o Monday and look for alternatives for my daughters til then (yes I have more than 1 daughter here...one is doing Invisalign so no need to keep looking for monthly appointments) read more

Dr. Farrah is awesome to come and get your dental work taken care of. The facility is big and nice. They are in the 21st century with technology as they present your dental to you or your child's. I was here for my step-son who needed his check up. They updated me on all the information and discussed all of our options and why. Will not be going back. Went in for a consultation for expanders and a CEF was taken on my child without permission or the doctor ordering it. This is unacceptable. I work in dental, I am a dental hygienist, and I should have been asked if that was ok to take. It wasn't even necessary to take at this appointment and was only done as a money grab to insurance. read more

I normally go to a different location but tried scheduling here for new retainers. The lady on the phone tried telling me my new retainers would be $500 because she said I didn't have the retainer insurance plan (I do and I verified with my home location and they took care of it no problem). I can't imagine getting my braces somewhere else. Dr. Farrah and her wonderful team not only fixed my teeth issues but also had given me that confident smile that I never thought I would have. I have friends who had complaints about their Ortho treatments, but I never had issues with mine all throughout my treatment period. Dr. Farrah is so knowledgeable and knows exactly what is needed. They explained to me pretty well why I needed the traditional braces vs. invisalign during my first consultation. I am so used to coming to this clinic since my son had his braces with them also. When Dr. Farrah moved her clinic, we followed. The staff are very sweet, compassionate, quick but thorough, and just makes you feel comfortable despite the pain you go through . And one thing that really amazes me is that, during this pandemic they were very organized, they communicated well, and they make their patients and staff safe. I had other clinic visits during this pandemic and got frustrated because of miscommunications and lack of safety protocols. We all want to be safe. Our son had a permanent retainer that came unattached, he was not able to eat because it rubbed against his tongue and caused discomfort. They were able to see him the next day and were extremely kind and attentive. Since it was only a matter of glue to secure the retainer they did not charge. The staff at Dr. Farrah Ortho are more like family than staff. I went out on a limb and decided to get braces at the age of 46. My experience during this process was nothing short of amazing. I was treated with kindness and respect each time. I got my braces on July 21, 2015 and 7 weeks later they were removed. A miracle you might say, but I truly believe it was due to the positivity and the personal touch that these wonderful women delivered. The day before they were removed my dog was attacked by another dog and needed 20 stitches. Everyone there showed genuine concern for my dog and myself. This review is long over due... but better late than never. I was under Dr. Farrah Agahi's care for braces when her office was in Cedar Park. She has since moved to Pflugerville and also changed the name of her practice as well. I can honestly say that being in her care was absolutely horrid. Dr. Agahi lacks people/customer service skills, makes very rude/snarky comments, has a very condescending way with her words and is not well trained in orthodontics. Overall, I would not recommend her. I could go on and on about specific incidences but I will have written a novel by then. So I will just stick with major key points. Anyways, do your research! Never needing orthodontic care previously, both my daughter and I arrived anxious, only to have both of our fears immediately alleviated by the kind, compassionate, and accommodating staff. The office is friendly and inviting and each smiling staff member went out of their way to introduce themselves and take the time to ask my daughter about herself. Each step of the treatment plan was thoroughly explained and the financial plan was tailored to meet my family's needs. I walked in yesterday just to explain my current situation to see what they might suggest and was surprised that they fit me in within 10 minutes. I met with Beth and discussed my previous experience with a dentist that did my braces (bad decision by the way - don't ever do that) and had some things I wanted fixed. After taking some pictures and meeting with Dr. Farrah we quickly had a solution and made an appointment for next week at a much lower cost than I had anticipated. I can't say enough positive about Dr. Farrah. She has treated three of my children. Two of them were especially difficult cases, and they've all had excellent results. With one of them, Dr. Farrah even extensively consulted with the oral surgeon (even in person!) to come up with the best treatment plan. I thought that this would all be especially expensive, but to my surprise there was no extra cost. She and her staff have worked really hard to make sure that I could afford the treatments my daughter needed, even charging nothing but the cost that they had to pay to a lab to have the appliance made during one phase of the treatment. Besides the superb care and the very-reasonable price, Dr. Farrah knows how to make an orthodontic practice that's fun for the kids. Her genuine warmth really shows through in what she does. AMAZING!!! Dr. Farrah is, by far, the BEST orthodontist in the Austin area!! We interviewed 3 other orthodontists in the area before finding Dr. Farrah. We had just relocated from MN four years ago with 3 children in braces and Dr. Farrah was the only orthodontist (of the 4 we interviewed) who was willing to help us with an orthodontic emergency before taking records, waiting for 2 weeks, signing contracts and asking for money! She put my child's teeth FIRST! My uncle who is a dentist (with 40 years of experience) helped me sort through all of my choices and from a credentials standpoint, Dr. Farrah was also superior over all the other "recommended orthodontists" friends had given me. She is super talented at her profession and great with kids! She doesn't hesitate with extra needed appointments and personally spends the time necessary to make sure that the smile and teeth are perfect, without compromising the bite and health of the teeth!! She has moved to Pflugerville from lake creek parkway and it is TOTALLY worth every extra mile I have to drive to ensure my children's teeth are perfect for life (and healthy WHILE in braces!!) I waited a few years to write this review as I wanted to see the results. I took my daughter to Dr. Farrah a few years ago. Her office was at Lake Creek then. She said my daughter needed expanders followed by braces. The quote I got was for $1800 for expanders. I paid similar amount for my older son at Dr. Farrha's office ($1700 for expanders, followed by $6000 for his braces). A friend of mine told me to get a 2nd opinion. She told me she got the same recommendation from Dr. Farrah. But when she got a 2nd and 3rd opinion, they both told her expanders are not needed. I chose Dr. Zapalac as he came highly recommended by a few of my friends. I took her there after Dr. Farrah told me she needed expanders. I did not tell Dr. Zapalac I had taken her to another Orthodontics. Dr. Zapalac spent about 45 minutes with us. He told me although she could use expanders, he can incorporate them into her braces. His words were "I don't want to waste your money"! He told us to come back a year later which we did. My daughter got her braces and 4 months later expanders were installed. The expanders were permanent and not the ones you take out which was so much easier. My son's expanders were removable. So he lost his expanders a few times and had to go look for them. My daughter had her expanders for only 4 weeks. My son had his for 9 months..... I was a bit skeptical as I did not think the expanders would actually work. My daughter's teeth looked worse than my son's. A year and half later, my daughter has very straight teeth. I only paid $5000 for her expanders and braces. I would have had to pay $7800 to Dr. Farrah. She is just all about money. Very greedy. She puts on a happy and friendly face just to get your money. Please get a 2nd opinion if you don't believe me. I found out later that I wasn't the only one who experienced this. This happened to a few people I know. read more
