Have gone to Dr. Patel for a few years now. Just had latest check-up. Did not wait at all once I signed the paperwork. Dr. Patel is always very patient, kind, friendly and professional. He explains everything well and is very good at giving me information, advice and options, recognizing I'm the patient and make the decisions. My wife has a bit more complicated situation with her eyes and has also been extremely pleased with Dr. Patel's care. Staff is courteous as well. Years ago Dr. Farr informed me I was beginning to develop dry macular degeneration. He made some suggestions on how I might want to try using vitamin and herbal supplementation to slow down the damage to my eyes. So far it seems to be working as the disease has not progressed since the original diagnosis. Anyway Doctor Farr is very professional, friendly and thorough during his eye exams. Dr. Farr is one of the best at his profession. From demeanor, communication skills, and ability to make you comfortable, he is great. He's normal...not an oddball. He discovered my glaucoma and keratoconus 10 years ago. I visited specialists in both of those fields and one said, "You have glaucoma but not keratoconus," and the other said, "you have keratoconus but not glaucoma." I trust Dr. Farr more with my eyes than anybody else. My kids love him too. My 11-year-old got contacts. I have been seeing Dr. Farr since I was 15 years old, and while I've moved all around the valley, I continue coming to see him for all of my eye care needs. One of my favorite things about him is the fact that he always remembers me, even if I only come in once a year, and he always remembers details about me - when I graduated high school and college, when I was going on a trip to Europe with my mom, getting engaged, getting married, etc. I usually don't ever write reviews, but I am such a fan of his even more today. I have been struggling ordering some contacts through his office and somewhere along the line, his staff ordered the wrong lenses by accident and once the correct ones were ordered, they weren't ever delivered to my house. As you can imagine, after two weeks of dealing with back and forth phone calls trying to make the situation right, I was told by one of his staff member's that someone would be delivering my contacts to my home tonight at 7pm. I was extremely grateful for them to go that extra step to fix the problem, but I couldn't believe that DR. FARR HIMSELF delivered them to my home. I can't imagine any other doctor, EVER, doing a home delivery like that. Not that my patronage was ever compromised to begin with, but I will DEFINITELY continue to gladly be one of Dr. Farr's patients. It's such a wonderful feeling being treated like a person whom you know your doctor cares about, rather than just a number or a dollar sign. I've had to wear glasses for the last 15 years. In the past 4 years I've been going to the Farr Eyecare Group. It is conveniently located in the mall right inside of the Lens Crafters. I've always had a good experience. Scheduling is easy. They send me a reminder with a link to their online scheduling system which is a bonus for me because I travel a lot. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. Yesterday I went for my annual exam. I had told my wife that I was tired of losing glasses, forgetting glasses and constantly having to take them on and off throughout the day. After my initial exam, I saw Dr Farr. He is always personable and engaged with his patients. I spoke to him about my frustration with glasses and he took his time to review my options. He gave me the good and bad of three options I had and went into detail with every one. When I told him I was interested in contacts, he spent the next hour working with me and allowing me to wear them while walking around the mall to see if they were for me. His office was busy but he worked hard to manage all of his patients while spending the time needed with each patient. When I came back from test driving my contacts, I heard him speaking Spanish to a little girl who needed glasses and was obviously nervous. He put her at ease and gave her a smile when he spoke to her in her primary language. It was nice to see him interact with her and put her at ease. I've been in the medical profession for 25 years and Interacted with a lot of medical personal. Dr Farr is engaged, compassionate and he takes his time to educate you, put ease and he provides impeccable customer service. I would recommend Dr Farr to anyone! read more

First, the doctor is wonderful. That's the only good thing about this place. I went for contact lenses. After my initial appointment, I was in the exam room and they sent another customer into the room to take out her contacts because they were so overbooked. The doctor was apologetic and I accepted that. Things happen. Then, I called to order my contacts. The girl I spoke with on the phone first told me I would only be able to get 6 months of contacts. When I told her I would buy them somewhere else, she put me on hold and came back to state she verified it would be for one year. I placed my order and my insurance paid 120.00 which left me to pay 50.00 and I paid over the phone. When the contacts came in, I went to the office and the girl at the front treated me like a moron and told me it's for 6 months. I tried to explain what conversation I had with the girl on the phone but she didn't want to listen. I told her I didn't want the contacts because I could get glasses that last me a year instead of contacts for 6 months for that price. She said she could refund the money but she would have to get it approved by several people and it would take a while. What was I supposed to do while they got the credit back to my insurance?? I feel like I was forced to keep theses contacts that I could've gotten for much less elsewhere! And the girls that sit at the front desk and answer the phones need to be trained properly. I've been there twice. Once for glasses last year and then this travesty. I'll never go back to them or lenscrafters. read more
