My fiance and I stayed across the street in the Courtyard Marriot, so when we wanted breakfast on a lazy Sunday morning and this place popped up, we were surprised we happened to be literally on the opposite side of the street from such a well-reviewed place. That's San Francisco for you. After reading about the small interior and long lines I thought it best to just order the food to-go and eat in our room. I tried to call but got only a recording, so I walked over to place an order there. The inside is as small inside as everyone says, one four-top table with seating for six (figure that out). So while I stood in line next to the table, in the only walkway there was, directly in the way of the server bringing food out to the folks outside, I didn't see the appeal. It's cramped, small, and you're always in the way of someone...but they had some good looking breakfast options and gluten-free bread, so in line, I stood. The guys working the counter were nice enough, though it's obvious it's a small space and they have to work to make it all work, which would drive me nuts. I got the Daily Toast for my fiance, and it looked really good. Not quite as good in the to-go box as it does on a plate (based on other Yelp photos) but she said it was really good nonetheless. I had the salmon toast, which is essentially an open-faced sandwich with some cream cheese, salmon, onions and a side of arugula. It was okay, but nothing I feel I need to get again or recommend you get. I know gluten-free bread isn't the same, and I get that, it was fine, but I am glad I only waited about 10 minutes to get it. I'd have been way bummed if we waited longer, or ate there, as I hate being in the way while I eat. When I got my boxes, the guy realized I had too much to carry and offered to get me a bag, which I accepted and he paced everything in for me which was a big help. So if you get the food to-go, eat somewhere cozy, you'll be happy with your choice. I can't speak to standing and waiting and sitting there and eating. I think I'd just go somewhere else instead. We also had americanos, which were served in tiny paper cups, maybe the size of a Tall from Starbucks, too small for me, but it was better than drip from the hotel. All in all, I think the food was good, not great, though my fiance said hers was great, I would be willing to try something else in the future, though to be fair, most of those things involve croissants, which I don't eat, so I'll probably not be back. read more

The only thing I wish I could change about this place is their pricing. Holy cow I spent over $25 for some toast, a slice of quiche and coffee!!! It was friggin tasty though. DAILY TOAST - they don't have a typical fruit they top this with, but it's a thick slice of sweet breath topped with mascarpone and fruit. I didn't want to like it, but by golly it was good!! Idk if it's $9 good, but it's up there. I'd give it a 8/10 mostly because of the price. It would be a splurge type of thing more than anything else. SAVORY PIE - I ordered the veggie + meat. It was great, but not for $12!!! It was yummy for a quiche, but not for that price. 7/10 Overall it's a super cute restaurant, but it wouldn't be a consistent breakfast place for me (I'd be broke!!). Solid 4 stars! I was working from home and had to run down to FedEx for something. On the way home, I decided to pick up a quick lunch from farm:table as I've been wanting to try it anyway. I picked up a yummy braised chicken sandwich - flavorful, tender chicken, loooooved it!! Also had a salad with strawberries, cheese and balsamic dressing - very fresh, great balance to the chicken sandwich. An iced coffee that hit the spot and kept me awake all afternoon as I worked away. Plus a peach muffin to save for breakfast for the next day - enjoyed this! I would definitely come back! I made plans to come here with Nina Y. for our weekly Sunday brunch. It turned out to be pouring rain, but we went anyways. First I thought how nice it would have been to sit outside in sunny weather, but instead I had to pounce on some of the new spots at the bench inside farm:table. This place is tiny! Most people stopping by grabbed a latte and pastry, but we were intent on trying the delicious-looking food. While I was waiting for Nina to arrive, I ordered a Pug N Honey Latte, which was amazing! Perfectly sweet. Would recommend. We split the Daily Toast and Egg Croissant. Both were so good. The Daily Toast is topped with mascarpone cheese and tons of fresh fruits. Makes an aesthetically pleasing IG photo if I do say so myself... the Egg Croissant was also very filling and tasty. If you're coming with a friend, I would recommend splitting. The service is excellent. They do a great job at keeping the line flowing. People sitting at the large bench don't seem to stay for hours, so it shouldn't be a long wait for a seat. Farm : Table's fruit toast is probably one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. It's a nice thick slice of soft toast with freshly made mascarpone and an incredible variety of delicious fruit. It's pretty substantial for being fruit on toast. The fruit changes seasonally, too. I've also had the croissant egg sandwich, which is also amazing, but more of a breakfast food, not a hearty lunch. The only reason I give Farm : Table 4 stars instead of 5 is for the lack of food variety and layout of the space. Although there are options for coffee beverages, they don't have much in terms of pastries. Also, the space isn't setup like a typical cafe. Instead of cafe tables, they have a large community table. The space is also cramped, whereas nice cafes are often open and airy, often flowing out into the sidewalk. The space is definitely no Blue Bottle or Sightglass Coffee. There is a nice parklet, but the street is typically windy, cold, and in shade due to the surrounding buildings. Overall, I highly recommend Farm : Table for breakfast, but would go somewhere else for brunch or lunch. read more

Stopped here on Sunday morning for some brunch. One of the workers had a bit of an attitude, but the two other workers were very nice! We ordered the Puggy Pancakes, the Egg Sandwich and the Daily Toast. Everything was really tasty, served on cute little baking trays! Solids 4 star breakfast place. Very quaint space for a nice, light farm fresh breakfast. Since I kept hearing so much hype about this place, I knew I couldn't just choose one thing (and yes, I tried almost everything on the menu...don't judge). I was a bit apprehensive about the daily toast, because I'm not usually one for creamy cheeses, but the flavor combination was really great. The salmon toast was nothin special and the smoked salmon on it doesn't look fresh. The edge was dry. The 'house pressed' OJ was a joke. I saw the guy pouring out the OJ from a plastic-gallon-milk kind of bottle. It tastes like any generic brand you get from grocery. Also the worst thing is that they don't have price on the menu. I came to SF for an interview and I know I definitely don't look or sound like local. But the price is a rip off. One piece of smoked salmon on one slice of old toasted bread, 6 oz supermarket juice. What a great place with even nicer people working there. You can enjoy beautiful outdoor tables while eating their delicious food. We tried egg sandwich on gluten free bread and royal monsieur. Both were delicious and the royal sandwich was so big that my BF will enjoy it later today. Egg sandwich was so fresh that we actually had a conversation about the taste of the eggs. This place had stellar reviews and I was definitely disappointed when I came in. It's just super overcrowded and small of a space. It's a tiny little space, they have one picnic table inside and some tables outside. The lines stretched outside the door and people try to cram in. The menu is limited. Very limited. We decided to forgo eating here and just grabbed some coffee here. I had a whole milk latte- they don't carry skim. My friend had a regular coffee, he said it was fine. My latte was burning hot and they handed it to me without a sleeve on. They have a communal spoon which is disgusting and also not sensitive to those with allergies. It's completely unsanitary and unappetizing. Not sure what the line is about, maybe it's just because they are so slow. 14 minute latte... needless to say won't be visiting again next time I am in town. read more

The biggest disappointment was that the eggs were over boiled rather than served soft boiled like in the photos. My latte was $5 and tasted like warm milk. Avo mash needed major salt. We got the egg crossaint sandwich, kale salad, and daily toast, which were all good, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The crossaint sandwich had a hard boiled egg, which was interesting. Salad was pretty solid; generous with the avocado, but nothing outstanding. Daily toast is a must try; they rotate seasonal fruits and nuts on top of thick brioche bread (which to be honest, tasted the exact same as the loaves of white bread you get in Asian bakeries). Their house specialty drinks were my favorite! The Nutella latte is thick and chocolatey, and I got the matcha chai latte, which I was able to sub almond milk for. Decent and unique San Francisco breakfast experience. I stopped in for coffee and the daily toast (before yoga, naturally). The toast was a huge slice of brioche with a whipped marscapone topping and a variety of fruit. Each one seems different; I saw a few go out and I think mine was the only one with grapefruit. I would have preferred to know in advance what my topping would be, but I guess that's part of the fun. Coffee was ok, if a little burnt-tasting. A cheaper and similar alternative exists at Starbucks. Interior is tiny with just one communal table and a cream/sugar bar. All I can say is Guy Fieri from Dinners Drive In's and Dives needs to make a visit!! The most unique breakfast/brunch joint I've ever been too. I would say this place is about 200 square feet (so plan on taking to go) they have a few tables out front but not much. These guys behind the food are creative artist putting their heart into fresh food for your sole. I got the egg on croissant and it was the best breast sandwich I've ever had. I took a friend here for brunch before she left for the airport as it was right across the street from my apartment. This place was always packed on the weekends so I assumed that it would be amazingly delicious. That being said, it was not quite up to my expectations. I ordered the following: Salmon Toast: smoked salmon on a dill cream spread with sprouts PROS: - dill spread did not overwhelm me with the taste of ... all herb. Dill in particular, can be very strong so the balance needs to be just right. - toast was not soggy meaning it was fresh made and came out quick - side salad was a nice refreshing touch given that the toast itself was on the heavier end of the meal CONS: - it'd be nice to have a little more salmon. I realize smoked salmon is expensive, but even the bagels in NYC have more salmon and that's a staple for the city. Not to mention, the price for this salmon toast was equivalent if not more than what I would get for a similar item. The one thing that I didn't quite like was the limited seating. Inside had one large table with wall seats (as in a bench built into the window). Private seating was located outside with maybe three small tables. If the weather is bad which, can actually happen in the Bay, it doesn't bode well for eating in (or out rather). Given that I live across the street, my toast probably would be able to survive the soggy-test had I decided to take my order to-go. Overall, it's nice but I wouldn't wait in line here on the weekend for this. read more

But it's a cute spot so I'd still recommend checking it out but go as if you're going to a casual local small coffee shop. Egg on croissant - very good. super flavorful. the avocado really added a little extra freshness to it. Eggs are hard boiled eggs. Super messy to eat but super enjoyable! Add a touch of hot sauce and kick it up a notch too. The croque royale (or whatever it was called) - super heavy. Kind of one note and it looks a little one note too. I think it would have been better with ham, or an addition of a tomato or something. It's thick white bread, with white turkey, with white cheese, with another piece of white bread. It eats very heavy. It does come with an arugula salad on the side to lighten it up but it's really hard to finish this sandwich. Hot chocolate was super rich. Super yummy. Chocolate croissant was also good. Chocolate is super deep flavored chocolate. Bathrooms are across the street in the Courtyard by Marriott. Street parking Accepts credit cards. Has one big square table with benches to fit 8 people inside; otherwise it's sidewalk tables or taking your food to go. TINY inside! I'm not sure I'd try this place on a weekend because I'd imagine the line is out the door and down the street with nowhere to sit, but if I'm around I would be open to trying it again. read more

There is one large family table inside and outside there's a few small tables and counter seats. They also converted the parking spot into a planter with bench seating. Don't be afraid to sit with strangers with some seats are open. I usually order the daily toast and the breakfast sandwich. The daily toast is a thick slice of bread with their house marscapone spread and topped with a good helping of seasonal fruit. The presentation of the toast is also so very nice with the fruit topped very beautifully. Instagram worthy. The breakfast sandwich is on a croissant with hardboild eggs, a greens, and ham. They also have interesting drinks. I wanted to try the charcoal latte but since it didn't have any caffeine I decided to try the chai and matcha. I love chai and I love matcha, why don't I try it together. The taste was fine but the I think the matcha made it really grainy to me. The color also wasn't a great color if you think green mixed with brown. My friend got the golden tumeric latte and like it. I just so happen to be driving to SF when I go to Farm : Table and parking isn't bad at all. I am always able to find something within 2 blocks on a weekend morning. read more

This location was extremely small. They had 1 big table located indoors which was taken so we had to eat our food and coffee outside. It was a very cold November morning, so eating outsidee was not preferable. The forks, knives, spoons, and lids for coffee were easy to get to. They also had a place to put them when you were done with them. My husband got a black coffee and I got a latte. Also, we shared a breakfast croissant sandwich and avocado toast. Everything tasted good and the presentation was pleasing, but not fantastic. I would definitely stop here for something to-go before work or a quick breakfast, but not for a unique sit-down "city" breakfast which was my expectation from the photos.
