Wonderful Retreat in Paso Robles If you are looking for a relaxing get away in Paso Robles, look no further than Farm Blanc et Rouge. Situated on 42 acres of land featuring trees, Vines and a beautiful lavender field, this spot has the tranquility you seek but is only 10 minutes from Paso Robles. Glen and Natalie are the ultimate hosts and have provided everything you need to make yiur stay a su cess. The beds are comfy. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking, if you want. Sit by the fire pit at night and enjoy the stars. Natalie provided a welcome bottle of wine and home made croissants to add to our welcome. Highly recommend this place!

First off, staying on-site is an experience in itself. The homes are spacious, beautifully designed, and every detail has been thought of to make your stay spectacular. We received so many compliments from our guests who stayed at both houses. Also the views are ABSOLUTELY stunning. Getting married at the amphitheater, with the beautiful tree and vines behind us, was a dream. Having the reception area just a short walk away made everything so easy for our guests. The event barn and cocktail area are stunning as well. We received a ton of compliments from guests about the entire venue. But what truly set Oak & Vine apart--and what made our experience unforgettable--was the incredible team, led by Colin, and Chef Justin. I could write an entire novel about how special they made us feel, but I'll keep it brief. From the moment we arrived, Colin and his team made sure every detail was perfect. Colin and Lisa were available for questions throughout the weekend, and the team went above and beyond at every event--from the rehearsal dinner to the farewell brunch--to make sure everyone was well taken care of, all with such warmth and kindness. As for the food - give Chef Justin a Michelin Star. Seriously, the food all weekend was some of the best we've ever had. We're still getting compliments from our guests about the Wagyu melon skewers and short rib. Chef Justin was also very thoughtful about my diet as a long-time vegan, making sure I had plenty of options. And a huge shout-out to Pastry Chef Laura. We didn't want to have a cake, so she crafted four bite size desserts for us and they were absolutely delicious! To sum things up, this is a fairytale wedding venue. We will most definitely be back to rent a house one weekend and cannot wait to see the crew again, who now feel like family.

We stayed in the garden house with five bedrooms (2 primaries). It was perfect for our group of eight. There is also a larger house with nine bedrooms, as well as an "event" hall, and a small amphitheater. We also utilized their catering service. Chef Colin and Justin were amazing! We had several delicious meals prepared in the beautiful kitchen. Each meal was cooked to perfection and they were very conscious of the various food preferences. I highly recommend this property. You can't go wrong.

Upon arriving to the rental after a long day of travel, we were stunned to find luggage belonging to OTHER people in our reserved rental. It was highly concerning how these other people were able to access the rental in the first place given the code for entry is based on the last four of your cell phone number. When I finally got a hold of a representative and explained what we observed, the representative had the audacity to nonchalantly tell me to move the other uncontracted patrons' belongings into the living room so that when they returned from a concert at God knows what time that night, they can just come into our rental to get their stuff. I'm sorry but WHAT? You want me to allow strangers into my rental I paid for? They clearly did not care for our discomfort or safety to even suggest this. I had to insist the rental company send their own people to clean out these patrons' belongings and take photos to prevent any liability on my part. That same night, after they claimed no other code could access the house, I immediately told them I wanted a full refund for the first night stay. The representative said the owners will call me on Monday morning to discuss. That phone call never came. AFTER I filled out their survey, I got an email saying they were refunding $100 and a $200 credit towards a future stay. I emailed back immediately and stated I had already asked for a full refund and in light of everything we endured, that is what is appropriate. My email was ignored for a whole day. It wasn't until my friends started leaving reviews detailing the FACTS of what happened that the rental company then emailed me back stating they removed the offer of the future discount based on our feedback and that they are no longer going to consider additional refund. Unprofessional - you speak the truth and they hold that against you and don't do what is right. I am leaving a screenshot of that email on my review for EVERYBODY to see. They cannot claim that as of yesterday was when I first asked for the full refund for the first night - I asked for it the first night we were trying to check in! It's been days. Absolute TRASH company. Go stay at another rental or hotel. In the least, if you have to deal with unprofessional management, you will be SAFER

My girlfriends and I drove more than five hours for our weekend getaway. When we arrived at our property around 5:30 pm we discovered someone else's belongings in our cottage. And I'm not talking about just their suitcases in the living room. Their food was in the refrigerator, toiletries in the bathroom, belongings in the bedrooms and dining room and THANK GOD no one was in the house. This was completely shocking as the entry code to the house was supposed to be the last four digits of my friend's phone number. My friend who booked the cottage tried to call the host and no answer. After 15+ minutes, she got ahold of the vacation rental manager. This person eventually figured out that the people whose things were in our cottage actually belonged in the cottage next door. How did they get in? The vacation rental company sends the codes out to these electronic locks. So they used THEIR code to enter OUR cottage. Safety much? And if that was not enough, the vacation rental manager contacted the renters who advised they were at a concert until late that evening. The rental agency had the audacity to say it was okay for us to just move all their belongings to the living room so these strangers could come back into the house, at whatever time, to retrieve their belongings! Absolutely NO! After much back and forth until nearly 7pm, the vacation rental manager decided they would come to the house themselves and move the belongings to the correct cottage. They then, allegedly, wiped all codes from the keypad and changed the code to only to my friend's phone number. You would think the host or the vacation rental agency would want to make this right by refunding at least the first night's fee. Nope! Here's a $100 refund. Newsflash, not only does that not cover the first nights cost, that doesn't cover the cost of the dinner we had to leave and purchase out when we brought food to cook in our cottage. They also gave a $200 credit to a future rental that will never be used. Beware if you still choose use this company. There's a lot I can overlook but safety is not one of them.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the Carriage House - everything that we could possibly need was provided - your usual careful attention to have everything there, including decaf coffee and sweetener, as well as the very welcome cake, the vases of flowers and other details were much appreciated, and the bottle of wine was really excellent.  And everything everywhere was notably clean - kudos to the cleaning crew!

After looking at all the hotel rates in the area, we thought we would consider renting a house or cottage instead to see if it would be more cost effective. We came across the Artist Vineyard Cottage on VRBO and the reasonable rate, coupled with beautiful accommodations captured our attention right away. After a few emails with Lisa, the owner, everything was set. Lisa even sent us a package, which included detailed instructions on how to get to the house, along with a list of their favorite restaurants in the area and several pamphlets and brochures detailing all the wineries. Before we even arrived, we had all the wineries we wanted to hit circled on the map. The real treat was when we arrived to the house. It was up atop a hill with a breathtaking view. Inside, everything was perfect -- updated amenities, ipod dock, movies, plenty of space for two couples for privacy and plenty of communal space to hang out in the living room. We stayed in the master suite and forgot to close the window shades before we went to bed. I woke up with the sunrise and it was one of my highlights of the trip. I even went outside to take pictures before heading back to bed for a few more hours sleep. The location worked out perfect for us. It was within completely reasonable distance to the wineries, particularly those in the Northwest area of Paso (where we did most of our tasting), and it worked out to be perfect on Sunday morning when we checked out, as it was only 30 minutes from Hearst Castle on the coast where we went to finish off our trip before heading back to San Francisco. If you are heading to Paso, definitely stay at the Artist's Vineyard Cottage. It will make the Paso experience that much more relaxing and memorable.
