We happily chose this particular Home 2 Suites due to its proximity to all the places we were planning to visit over the weekend. We arrived on a Friday night to check in. This Home 2 Suites is in a nice location off the exit in the beautiful town of Atascadero. There was a Valley Fresh Market which is similar to a Whole Foods was conveniently located across the street. Plenty of free parking is accessible all around the hotel. The hotel lobby looked very nice, clean, and fairly new. There were plenty of tables, chairs, and lounge couches for the breakfast area. I always appreciate the amenities that Home 2 Suites provides. There was a moderate size heated outdoor swimming pool that our kids took advantage of at night. There are 2 outdoor propane fire pits and a pair of outdoor grills that are available for guests. The gym was nice and had just enough equipment to have a good workout. Our room had 2 queens beds, a sofa bed and a mini kitchen. They were very spacious and comfortable. We always appreciate the extra storage space for luggage and the Hilton provided toiletries in the bathroom and showers. My only gripe was our rooms were on the freeway side and so I heard the cars zooming by when I was laying down to sleep. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Home 2 Suites Atascadero. Everyone we came across from the hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The front desk staff when we checked in helped us cancel one of our rooms due to family members not making it last minute. We appreciated the kind gesture. The price point was a great value. The complementary breakfast was tasty and unique with breakfast sandwiches as an option. Excellent location. We plan to be back next time we are visiting the area.

First, I was genuinely impressed to see Hilton offering non‑toxic toiletries, free‑range eggs, and nitrite‑free bacon. As someone who normally travels with my own non‑toxic products, it was refreshing not to have to do that. These healthier options are noticed and appreciated. However, the breakfast service itself fell short of Hilton's standards. When I asked the male staff member with reddish‑brown hair for full‑fat milk and honey for my coffee, he directed me to the coffee station. Unfortunately, the only options available were low‑fat milk and processed tiny plastic creamers, no stevia and both honey bottles were completely empty. I checked again when I returned for a second cup of coffee, assuming the honey would have been refilled by then. It had not. After 45 minutes, both bottles were still empty. I attempted to place one of the empty bottles on the counter behind the serving trays so staff would notice it, but because it was sticky, it stuck to my finger and fell to the floor. A few minutes later, from about 40 feet away, the same staff member loudly called out to me in a chastising tone, holding up the bottle and asking if I had "thrown it behind the counter." I explained that I was trying to get his attention because both honey containers had been empty for nearly an hour, and several guests were waiting for them to be refilled while their breakfasts cooled. Instead of acknowledging the oversight or offering an apology, he continued speaking to me in an accusatory manner. This interaction was unnecessary and unprofessional. Had he been monitoring the breakfast station and replenishing items proactively, none of this would have occurred. Suggestions for improvement: * Ensure breakfast staff regularly check and refill items, especially basics like honey, milk, and cream. * Consider offering organic full‑fat milk, half‑and‑half, or cream, which many guests prefer. * Provide staff training on guest interaction, tone, and proactive service. A simple acknowledgment and quick refill would have resolved the issue immediately. I appreciate Hilton's efforts to elevate the quality of ingredients offered. With more attentive service and better communication from staff, the guest experience would match the quality of the food. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback.

She immediately made us feel at home with her gentle spirit and genuine hospitality. We later met Rob, Lisa's husband, who was just as kind and welcoming. Lisa was especially sweet with our daughter--she spent time showing her around the farm, baking together in the kitchen, and exploring the beautiful herb garden. It meant so much to us to see that connection. The entire property is peaceful and stunning, with gentle rolling hills, goats, chickens, and cows (though we didn't spot the cows this time!). We also had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast most days with their wonderful chef, Dominique, who made such delicious food--everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It was the perfect way to start each day. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations--from the thoughtful details throughout the property, to the calm, rejuvenating atmosphere. Kindred Oak Farm is a hidden gem that we will always hold close to our hearts. Thank you, Lisa and Rob, for a stay filled with kindness, connection, and unforgettable memories.

I was towed to a nearby street so I didn't have to worry about being charged for self-parking. We were greeted warmly and given a clean quiet room on the 3rd floor. We were across a parking lot from a strip mall and were able to stock up on pjs and snacks. It was the silver lining after a stressful afternoon. Breakfast was good: eggs, potatoes, sausage patties, oatmeal. I would stay here again.

This has been the only hotel that charges a parking fee. The ones closer to downtown doesn't even charge anything. It took me a while to set up pay to park, which was not fun after a long day of work. My 1st night I amlost fell on toilet because they are super low. They are elementary school sized toilets. As someone else mentioned, the big gap underneath the door makes it easier to hear everyone. The 1st night I heard some lady have a long conversation at 11 pm and on. My last day, someone's phone vibrated at 5am, 5:15 and 5:30am and I thought it was my phone bc of the thin walls. That person also had a full on conversation with his partner, so needless to say I gave up on sleeping until 730 am. Another thing I didn't like is the lack of black out curtains. So the sunrise would wake me up the first couple more nights. Room does have a nice size and I like how it has a desk. Wish there was a light switch to turn on more lights in the room, instead of individually flipping on all the lights. Other amenities they offer are free breakfast, mini gym and computer to do office or emails. I had stomach issues 2 days in a row from their breakfast so I started to stick with fruits and coffee for breakfast. I'm pretty sure the yogurt gave me issues because it's just yogurt on an ice pack on the bottom vs other places having yogurt in the fridgator or some container that looks like it stays cooler. The gym had a couple treadmills, free weights, kettle bells, the jumping box thingy, and a thing that looks like a bow flex. I personally would not book this place ever again due to paying to park, not having to have good sleep due to thin walls and gap underneath the door and the food giving me stomach issues. But I will say staff is friendly tho!

While the word motel has certain perceptions attached to it, farmhouse is in actuality a bright, modern, and very aesthetically pleasing hotel with wonderful amenities. Prices can be average to above average depending on the time of the year, but we were able to use some credit card points to save even further. I'd say the stay is worth the baseline price, though. We got the standard king bed room. Each room has its own little patio, and a shared fire pit nearby. The room was spacious, clean, and the color palate is a dream. The bathroom amenities were standard. It's a room you wouldn't mind doing a staycation in. The service is wonderful. There is a front desk for easy check in, and the host was available via text if we needed anything ( at one point we needed more tissues and she brought it within minutes). They also offer free rosé upon arrival and free pastries and fruit/coffee during breakfast. The location is not exactly in downtown but it's a 15 min walk or a 5 min drive to the park/square. Can't wait to come back .

Otherwise the place has high quality finishes, good bed, sheets, planting, fire pits through out.

It honestly made me wonder--if this is what they provide for guests with disabilities, that's concerning. The shower knob was broken, there was an old leather jacket left in the closet, and there was barely any countertop space in the bathroom. Along with several other minor issues, it was clear the room hadn't been properly checked or cleaned. To their credit, the staff was friendly and quickly moved me to another room, which I appreciated. That said, for a hotel of this caliber, you'd expect at least complimentary coffee--but there wasn't any. They do have a restaurant that opens at 7:00 AM, but when I arrived right at 7:00, it wasn't open. An employee mentioned the staff was running late--it was already 7:10 AM by then. Not a great look. I've stayed at the Courthouse Marriott before, where they offer free coffee and breakfast, and in hindsight, I wish I had stayed there again. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning here.

From the outside, it's rather unassuming, but once you go in the front doors, the inner real beauty of this location is revealed. The courtyard is simply amazing, and like a bubble in space and time that offers a refuge from the outside world. In the evening the fireplaces are burning with hardwood every night and they offer fresh made s'mores to hotel guests. There's actually a s'mores menu. The whole environment is almost like something from a movie. They've also got a wonderful library that is tastefully appointed with many wonderful and interesting different books to read. It definitely invites you to sit down and snuggle by the fire with a good book. Such a cozy feeling! You can also select some candy for a snack. The rooms themselves are also beautiful and the bedding looks nice. Though I will say for me personally the pillows were really uncomfortable, and they had a rough spun duvet which smelled musty on the inside like it hadn't been washed in quite awhile. It looked and smelled like they were washing the sheets and the blanket but not the duvet itself. They also offer breakfast in the morning, but it's a little bit later than some other places so if you have to get an early start, then you probably won't be able to catch it. Overall I really enjoyed the stay and would say this experience is really good for the boutique traveler that is looking for a peaceful, unhurried trip.
