Our family had the most incredible stay at Kindred Oak Farm in Paso Robles. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Lisa Peach, who is one of the kindest, warmest people we've ever met. She immediately made us feel at home with her gentle spirit and genuine hospitality. We later met Rob, Lisa's husband, who was just as kind and welcoming. Lisa was especially sweet with our daughter--she spent time showing her around the farm, baking together in the kitchen, and exploring the beautiful herb garden. It meant so much to us to see that connection. The entire property is peaceful and stunning, with gentle rolling hills, goats, chickens, and cows (though we didn't spot the cows this time!). Our deepest apologies to Lisa and Rob that this review is so overdue. I found Kindred Oak Farm by perusing the internet, it looked absolutely stunning. I called to make a reservation and spoke to the owner, Lisa. She was so warm, accommodating, and helpful-when I hung up the phone, I said I could be friends with that gal. When my husband and I arrived we were greeted by the friendliest, most beautiful, Great Pyranese brother and sister duo, Auggie & Gigi. Then, we met Lisa. She was so welcoming to us and so beautiful inside and out. She explained everything to us, showed us our spectacular room, Adelaide, that was full of upscale amenities. The entire room and bath area was amazing. The grand fireplace, the bathtub for two, the linens on the bed, the fabulous bottle of wine-I could go on. Even the coffee was from a local, organic coffee maker. Now let's get to the three-course breakfast we were served everyday of our four-day stay. We felt like we were at a three-star Michelin restaurant that included incredible homemade juices by Lisa. Each course was so presented so elegantly, but also in an atmosphere that made you feel right at home. Of course we went wine tasting. Lisa and Rob (Lisa's husband and co-owner) recommended wonderful wineries that we went to, and we were very pleased. Everywhere we went I had to tell them where we were staying and how beautiful and relaxing the B&B was. Back on our first morning there, Rob had taken us for a tour of the farm where we saw the game room, wedding area, the vineyard, and my favorite-the beautiful highlander cattle. Such an experience-no wonder Lisa and Rob are so happy there. Also, an honorable mention goes out to Little Girl, their precious kitty. Lisa and Rob are 2 of the nicest people you'll ever meet. On our first night as we arrived Lisa met me as I walked to the front door and proceeded to give me all the information we'd need for our stay. She was so kind and warm, she made you feel like you'd been there a thousand times before. The house is extremely cozy and all of the common areas are very inviting. Rooms were very tastefully decorated and meet all the needs you should have. So as this is a bed and "breakfast", my wife and I very much looked forward to the breakfast. Let me tell you it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! It was wonderful and the vast majority of the food is sourced straight from their property. It was literally 3 courses and came with fresh juices (blends of various fruits) and coffee. As a guest you are welcome to wonder the property and check out the goats, chickens, dogs, farm cat, and cows. For most men and a lot of women, adjacent to the goats pen there is a special sporting function. Not gonna say what, you'll have to find it yourself, and take a swing at it. Overall the place is fantastic, extremely RELAXING, and super chill. Bonus is that you are in very close proximity to several excellent wineries, without having to walk through a hotel lobby or any of that nonsense. We had a delightful two night stay and loved everything about it from our hosts, the room, the property, to the wonderful gourmet breakfasts served each morning. Lisa goes above and beyond to ensure her guests needs are met and that the stay is as enjoyable as possible. We had an early flight back home and she arranged for Chef Candice to come earlier so that we'd be able to have breakfast before leaving. The farm is also easily in one of the best locations for visiting wineries and downtown Paso. We loved how close we were to the wineries off of 46. Lisa and Rob have truly thought of all of the small details and touches that elevate a stay from good to great. Fresh ground coffee, pistachios, and a lovely bottle of wine greeted us in our room along with a fridge stocked with cream (my husband's preference for his morning coffee) and water. There are soft blankets in the common area for chilly mornings out on the porch or cozy nights by the firepit. There's also a game room, a gym, gardens, and wonderful animals! We loved being greeted every time we returned by the pups and barn cat. We sadly didn't have time to meet the new baby calf, next time for sure! We are so glad that we took a chance and stayed with Lisa and Rob instead of the larger luxury hotel we almost chose. We're not likely to stay anywhere else in Paso for our return visits! read more

We loved our stay with Lisa and Rob on their beautiful farm. The farm itself is stunning. We would go on peaceful morning walks, see the animals, walk the gardens, etc. Then we'd be served this incredible farm to table breakfast with a view of the rolling mountains around us. Lisa thinks of everything and is so accommodating - wine in the room, freshly made cashew milk for our coffees, etc. Also, the room is beautiful. Robes, bath, comfortable bed, you name it. This weekend was a dream. What a beautiful property this is, only outshined by the incredible hospitality of its owners. Lisa and Rob are the the perfect hosts. We made great new friends at the breakfast table who we plan to return to property with in the future. The tour of the property was so fun and we loved getting to visit the farm animals. WOW - Lisa and Rob are natural-born hosts, and Kindred Oak Farm is a truly one-of-a-kind, special place. We booked a stay in the Oaks Room, which was beautifully decorated by Lisa. The room was incredibly comfortable, filled with thoughtful amenities, and included a large outdoor private deck overlooking the fields and vineyards. The multi-course breakfast by Chef Candice was delicious and was accompanied by Lisa's amazing home-pressed juices. My favorite part of the experience was the expansive grounds that included a flower garden, vegetable garden, goats, Scottish Highland cows, chickens, two adorable Great Pyrenees dogs, and a cat. Rob gave us a great tour of the property, and it was extra fun getting to feed alfalfa to the cows ;-) We also had a wonderful time wandering the paths and just taking it easy. Let me start by saying you will NEVER go wrong booking at Kindred Oak Farm. Lisa and Rob were born to entertain. They are both incredibly hospitable. My husband and I arrived on a Friday afternoon and stayed in The Oaks Room (Master suite). The view from our room was breathtaking. The room has been newly updated with beautiful eucalyptus green tile in the bathroom and gold accent hardware. Windows have automatic shades that can be opened up with the morning sun and closed at night. There is a wine fridge with water and a pour over coffee station (refreshed daily by Lisa). The bed was comfortable and crisp with plenty of pillows. Breakfast was prepared by Lisa and a wonderful chef (forgot his name). Saturday morning we had fresh granola with a buttermilk glaze and a spinach frittata with home grown squash blossoms on top prepared with eggs from the on property chicken coop. Sunday morning we had a mozzarella salad with home grown arugula, and peaches sprinkled with cumin, coriander and pistachios. We also had a hash with rabbit and eggs which was absolutely wonderful. First time we've ever had rabbit and although skeptical, I'm so glad we tried it because both my husband and I scarfed it in its entirety. Fresh juices are made daily and accompany your breakfast and the coffee was some of the best coffee I've ever had. After Breakfast, Lisa highly encourages taking a walk of the property where you are greeted by their friendly goats who roam and mow down the grass during the day. There is a Recreation room with a pool table, outdoor horseshoes, and even a one hole putting green. If you walk passed the new fish bowl area (great for weddings) you can visit their friendly cows that you can also hear mooing in the afternoons. If you have the desire to workout, there is a new gym with a peloton bike. Lastly, we had the pleasure of Lisa's daughter Maddie drive us to a number of local wineries that Saturday. She was very polite and sweet. We chatted about books, podcasts, restaurants and our shared love for cooking and eating. Lisa is one of the most thoughtful and passionate hosts we have ever had the chance of meeting. Every little detail is well planned and executed. She has a plethora of recommendations from wineries, restaurants to chauffeurs. A simple text is answered with a variety of choices. I am obsessed with this place! This was only my husband and my second stay at a B&B and we absolutely loved it! I've become quite picky about cleanliness especially after COVID so I was so happy that everything felt very very clean here. We live in LA so it was nice to stay a bit out in the country (still close to downtown, wineries and restaurants), but feels like you are a million miles away. The air is fresh and the property has a calming affect. Lisa was so kind to show my husband and I the farm animals and even let us feed them. It was a really cool experience that we will never forget. Oh and the breakfasts are amazing! Especially the fresh squeezed juices! From the moment I booked, Lisa was communicative, friendly and beyond hospitable -- she accommodated every request, provided recommendations, cooked absolutely fantastic breakfasts... you simply could not ask for more from a proprietress. My husband and I took a little getaway to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was everything we hoped for and more. Lisa and Rob are so sweet and it honestly felt like we were staying at a friend's house. The property is amazing with views of the oak tree forest every morning during breakfast. The breakfasts we had were out of this world with fresh organic, locally sourced ingredients that are to die for. Because this property is on a farm it's bound to please any animal lover. The goats were so friendly and cute! There's also chickens and a barn cat too. We loved how there was also a barn that is utilized as a game room and was adorned with string lights outside. I love planning trips and I spend a lot of time researching places to stay, so we've had the pleasure of staying at some 10/10 B&Bs, but Kindred Oak Farm is an 11. It's truly one of a kind. A few highlights: - Echoing what literally everyone else on here has said (but it still bears repeating!), Kindred Oak Farms takes breakfast to a whole new level. Served on the porch overlooking the grounds, they start with an amuse-bouche, followed a "main", then something sweet. And did I mention the homemade juices - two every day!? Everything was delicious - standouts were the overnight quinoa with blueberries, mint, and date syrup; a sunny-side-up egg with pickled onions and cilantro nested in a crispy corn cake; and toasted brioche topped with goat cheese and honey-miso poached peaches. Like, come ON. - The property itself is gorgeous. It was so fun to wander around exploring and meeting the many animals on property. We especially loved the game room in the barn - we had late dinner reservations Saturday and had so much fun playing darts and pool beforehand. - Lisa and Rob went above and beyond as hosts. Lisa upgraded us as we were there to celebrate our anniversary, and Rob took the time to bike out with us Saturday morning to show us how to avoid the aggressive dogs on a neighbor's property. Finally, I have some health issues that force me to be much more COVID-cautious than your typical early 30s traveler, and they were so accommodating (plus, the property in general is really well set up for outdoor activities and distancing). I don't even know where to begin. We wanted to find a special way to celebrate our son's 1st birthday since my husband is immunosuppressed and we can't do much or go far, so we thought farm-to-table food, animals and nature sounds like a good idea. I consider this a 5 star retreat! If you are looking to go to a place to heal, relax and be away from the chaos, then this is a wonderful location for you. Lisa puts so much beautiful thought into her cooking and the location's attention to detail. She follows up to make sure that all your needs are met. This place is idyllic! Lisa is so attentive to every detail and she and Rob are phenomenally welcoming hosts, and kind people. We enjoyed chatting with them every chance we got, but don't be mistaken - there is plenty of privacy on the property if you prefer. And the breakfasts - Lisa is a culinary genius. The way she pairs together flavors for her masterpiece breakfast dishes is true talent - creative and delicious. Not exaggerating, the food was better than any brunch spot I've ever visited. I am still dreaming of the fresh morning juices. The style of the place is so tasteful and trendy, from the super cool game room to the thoughtfully appointed guest rooms. We stayed at Kindred Oak Farm mid-August as we went to Paso Robles to go wine tasting. We tend to rent houses when we travel, but we really wanted to relax and be a bit spoiled. What we discovered was that this is more than just a place to stay to find peace and re-center. We are introverts, but we found Lisa and Rob so incredibly warm, thoughtful, and easygoing that we instantly felt like family guests. Lisa was often in the kitchen making fresh juices (the beet carrot mint was our favorite!) and prepping the next day's breakfast. Lisa's three course breakfasts on the balcony overlooking the oak-filled farm reminded me so much of Farm Spirit in Portland (a favorite of ours, Michelin starred) starting with two jars of amazing juices and beautifully balanced fresh coffee. The next two courses were fresh from the farm, delicious, perfectly seasoned, and stunningly presented. Both of us felt they were among the best breakfasts we've had. We ended up walking the massive property, which is nestled on a hillside, because everywhere we went was a discovery. We strolled by the goat pen and they ran over with excitement for some scratches. We went to the farm's kitchen garden and walked along the wisteria-laden pergola among squash, tomatoes, herbs, and more. There was even a nice big pumpkin (we so wished we could have tried what Lisa would have done with it!). We followed the paths to the large wooden building that had the game room, enjoying the cool shade of the oaks. And our room - Adelaida - was phenomenal. It is furnished with natural soothing colors, with lots of wood and linen.  The bathroom is expansive, with a deep two-person bath (the bath salts and bubble bath lured us in) and a wonderful walk in multiple head shower. It is a luxurious room that you will not find in a rental, quiet and spacious with lots of comfortable seating inside and on the balcony. We loved sitting out on the balcony with some glasses of wine, enjoying the quiet and the breeze and the gorgeous sunsets. My girlfriend and I recently drove up from Santa Monica looking to disconnect, breathe, look each other in the eyes and spend some quality time together. If you fancy wine tastings, goat petting, puppy playing, and food indulging then it seems Kindred Oak Farms is the perfect place for you. The rooms are extremely cute with a very eclectic vibe and high-level detailed designs. Every corner you take feels like you're turning the pages through architectural digest and can take the perfect photo because there isn't one background not worth capturing. Truly loved our stay. Kindred Heart Farm is as quaint and beautiful as the photos appear on the web site ! The one unexpected surprise was the breakfast. We thought we were getting bacon and eggs etc. instead we got the most amazing organic, gourmet chef prepared all local foods, French press coffee, freshly squeezed juice and cashew milk. We went last weekend and must say we were very pleased with our stay at this Bed & Breakfast. Lisa and Rob are outstanding hosts and are extremely responsive before, during and after your stay! I will admit that being the foodie that I am, the pictures of the homemade breakfast each morning, from previous guests, is really what sold me on this place. Plus the fact that it only has a few rooms, making staying during COVID times more appealing. I will say that the breakfasts far surpassed my expectations both mornings! They served 2 courses and 2 kinds of freshly made juices by Lisa. Everything was FANTASTIC! I would have purchased her juices if she bottled them for sale! She was so gracious to us, sharing her recipes and personal twists on them, explaining what was in each of her juices and sharing recipe books she uses with me. I loved one dish so much I purchased the cookbook from my phone later that morning! The room we stayed in was very clean and they do a great job of showing you around and explaining where to find things on the property. The common area, kitchen, dining areas are all so very cute and homey. Really loved it and wish we had more time to just sit back and relax, but I had a full itinerary of wine tastings booked. LOL Overall, our experience here was oustanding and we cannot wait to go back! You can tell they truly love the business and pleasing their guests and in making you feel like family. read more

All I can say is the best B&B I have ever stayed at. To start with, the grounds are beautiful -- the location is nestled between wineries and there are chickens and goats and cows on premise (and a game room!) The rooms are luxurious and well decorated and modern. And the breakfast was amazing. If we could just get the breakfast at a restaurant nearby, we would be there every weekend. It was fresh, homemade, healthy, delicious, and seasonal. There is also a garden on the premise to help supply some of the ingredients. We had fresh juices, house-made cashew yogurt with chia seeds and caramelized fig, pear clafoutis, amazing sausage, and very good coffee (the rooms also have pour-over coffee, which I've never seen in a B&B). To top all of this off, Lisa and Rob were consummate hosts. I stayed here with my girlfriend, and we are already planning on going back (assuming it hasn't booked up as people increasingly discover it!) Thanks again Lisa and Rob! read more

Wow - what a fantastic experience. We will be forever grateful to Lisa and Rob for hosting us for a memorable birthday surprise /weekend visit. Breakfast was over the top, service same and being able to shoot for a hole in one with the host was a great experience. And that's before we got the oppty to feed the cattle and watch Gigi and Augi play (new pups) in the yard and help herd the goats. Highly recommend for any special event or just a weekend get away. I had a really special trip to Kindrek Oak Farm this weekend. I was just there for 2 nights. But I would certainly go back . Owners were very warm and hospitable. The rooms were really rustic and cool. It had great technology like wireless door locks and Google personal assistant for music. The grounds were really nice. I walked around a lot. There are goats and cows. The owner's two dogs are really nice and would hang out with me too. The owner Lisa made breakfast on both days and it was unusually good. There were fresh squeezed juices (combinations of different ingredients). I loved 3 of 4 of them. But the 4th was just really Good. The first 3 were exceptional. She had a nice chef there too to help out. Reservations were really chill and easy. The whole proces was easy. Oh yeah... they had great coffee too. This was my first bed and breakfast, as i usually stay at hotels. But this experience was more personal. I have no complaints. Great experience overall. read more

I could not recommend this place more. We arrived here for a weekend stay and immediately fell in love. We were greeted by two of the sweetest Pyrenees dogs ever. Our room balcony looked out on the fame below where long haired bulls and cows hang out looking cool. We took a walk around and hung out with the goats. We were able to let them out of their paddock and they strolled around the grounds with us for a bit. The owners, Lisa and Rob, were wonderful hosts who made their home feel like our home. The room itself was so comfortable and cozy, and there's an outdoor cat that if you leave your balcony door open will just wander in and settle on the bed waiting to be pet. Chef Matt cooked some of the best breakfasts I've had and is such a delightful guy to talk food, travel and life with. Vineyards you'll want to visit are all relatively close by, but you're far enough removed to feel like you're in a sanctuary when you're on the grounds. We really loved it. read more

Awesome place!! My wife and I just returned from a 6-day visit to Paso Robles. Our visit was enhanced by the wonderful experience staying at Chanticleer Vineyards B & B. Chanticleer is a quaint, quiet and beautiful place from which to explore all that the Paso Robles Wine Region has to offer. Whether you prefer the gourmet breakfast while visiting with other guests or prefer to spend some quiet time on the deck with a glass of great wine, Chanticleer is the place. Lisa and Rob were gracious hosts and gave great suggestions on vineyards, restaurants and treats. The room was quiet and very comfortable with a beautiful view of the countryside. Lisa prepared a delicious breakfast each day using ingredients from their organic garden and other locally sourced products. We look forward to visiting Paso Robles again and will want to stay at Chanticleer Vineyard B & B. read more
