We were one of the first that enjoyed the individual casitas back in the day. My favorite room has always been Zuni. We have many fond memories of being at Wild Coyote. This past weekend we reserved the House of Zin. We occupied three rooms and having the privacy, tranquility and solitude this home offers is off the charts. The pricing was also advantageous. We used the kitchen for breakfast and snacks while eating elsewhere for dinner. The exterior deck is the perfect place to chat and share opinions about our day checking out the wineries while sipping on nectar of the GODS. This home is comfortable and is equipped with all the essentials. We are even planning to put the outdoor grill to use on our next trip out. We LOVE it here and how can we NOT return? read more

Will give a full review once we have completed our stay but noticed the winery was on Yelp but not the B&B and It scores so high (rightly so) on Tripadvisor that I had to add an entry. We took a chance here as we wanted to stay off the beaten track and wake up in the thick of the vineyards for some R&R.. This has not disappointed. It's 4'ish miles out from Paso in Adobe style apartments, there are four and I believe a larger house to rent on the property. No phone and no wifi which is exactly what the doctor ordered and we simply feel like we're on a movie set of bottleshock :-) Highly recommended & their port is pretty fantastic also ! More edits to follow ! ....... Rest of the review.... What's really important to us is to find somewhere that isn't over run with loud people and isn't another sole-less hotel cell. We needed a short break to explore the regions wines and more importantly to recharge the batteries. This place fitted the bill completely. The Casitas are nicely appointed and happily sparse of some modern day trappings. My wife did however missed a full length mirror (hint, I think this is needed) and the lighting is a little 'romantic'. She worried about her makeup application in the dark resembling a Panda when we went to dinner.. unfortunately she was fine avoiding what could have been an excellent photo opportunity. Gianni and Kati the owners were present but not in your face, breakfast is very nice. Best of all for me was the accommodation, the setting, the tranquility and the warm wafts of grapes drifting into your room throughout the evening. I seriously sat at restaurants and contently smiled that nobody else eating there would be enjoying such a cool accommodation. Sure they could walk back to their hotel cells and we had to drive but it sure was worth it. That's it from me, the rest of the reviews have said it all.. I would suggest we start a movement of badly scoring Wild Coyote or it will become too busy, Gianni will get all flash and entitled and we won't be able to get back into this place in the future.. You know when people say they need a break from life?.... Well this is where they should be coming. This has got to be the quietest place I have ever been. I was looking for a quick drive from the bay area for a quick weekend get away and at only 2.5 hours south it was perfect. The breakfast that showed up to our door every morning was delicious and just perfect to start our day. We also took advantage of the tour and tasting....and I am sold. Had my husband and I found this place before we got married I would have definitely asked if it was a possibility to do it there. Another amazing aspect you get to interact with the owners directly. We were looking for a stay in Paso for a weekend trip that was not a standard hotel but also not a typical B&B. We found that and so much more at Wild Coyote. A peaceful and serene setting with a beautiful view from every room and breakfast delivered to you door every morning delivered by wonderful hosts. We had not tried the wine at Manucci/Wild Coyote before and wrongly assumed it would be just ok. But after our tasting we were hooked. Yet another great time for us at this B&B. Although I haven't stayed at another B&B in the area, I can't imagine it getting any better than this. A real getaway with a fabulous sunrise every morning. Surrounded by lots of open space, rolling hills with manicured grapevines and a nice hot tub. If interested there is a Santa Maria style grill and fire pit. Dining is nearby but there are a few decent places that deliver. We chose delivery just to be able to enjoy this place as much as possible. There are so many highlights to this place but personally the breakfast is my favorite. Real food, large portions and a fixed menu make it easy to sit back wait and enjoy. Really a treat to stay at this place. Lastly there is a great if not one of Thee best tasting rooms with excellent reds and spirits. Grab some wine, cheese, crackers and enjoy. Stayed here last night and it was an absolutely perfect experience. The accommodations are unbelievable. You feel you are staying in a vineyard in Europe. The owners are in the process of totally redoing the B&B. Their attention to detail is evident. We were delighted by the views of the vineyards, incredible accommodations, gourmet breakfast and superior service. Our place had a patio with our own personal infinity pool and there was a daybed alcove in our room with fairy lights in the ceiling! This place is SO fantastic I almost don't want to write this review. Because once everyone finds out about it, I'll never be able to get a reservation since they will be booked. But this place deserves to be known as a top destination if you're staying in the Paso Robles area. read more

We cannot say enough about this experience... It's not just the awesome red wines and venue - but the entire B&B experience is "one-in-a-million". W/just a very few rooms - it is very unique. Enjoying the wines 'after hours' w/a great sunset is fine. Enjoying a quiet night's sleep w/a breathtaking sunrise to the East - w/a hand-made and lovingly-prepared breakfast from Kati... There is none better. We 1st went 10 years ago and cannot wait to go back! We get a yearly shipment from Gianni and 100% look forward to it. Highly recommend! We stayed at the B&B for two nights. Loved the comfortable, spacious room and thoughtful, fun and well executed Southwest decor. Great view, quiet and cozy. Breakfast was homemade each morning by the owner and delivered to the room. Even homemade bread for the super yummy French toast! For ppl who snub the southwest decor, have some imagination for Heavens sake. This is a reflection of the owners individuality and personality. It manages to be cool and quaint at the same time. I dig the originality! The owner hosted a barrel tasting on Sat am and discussed the history of his wines and care taken in growing great fruit and being a purist about his wines. Gave us much appreciation for the hard work that goes into this small family run winery. Pretty awesome. And let's not forget the bold red wines! Loved them! We became members and also took 4 bottles home w us after the weekend. We will go back again!! read more

We stayed at their House of Zin with 5 people for three nights and everyone adored it! We loved having a full kitchen and barbeque at our disposal so we didn't have to eat out for all our meals. It's three good sized bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed. One bed room has a bathroom attached, the other two rooms share a bathroom. The Kitchen: Provides your standard dining needs, and of course, plenty of wine glasses! Pots, pans, cooking utensils, a toaster, coffee maker, tea kettle, dishwasher, (and the soap for it so you can handle your dishes) cutting board, knives, mixing bowls, pot holders, kitchen towels, and even a blender! Oooh! And it has a gas stove! Yippie! You should be able to find everything you need to make your basics here. There are some basic teas, coffee and creamer for you. Also, the kitchen is open to the rest of the dining and living room area so if you're cooking, you're not cut off from your pals! I love that! This is a really cost effective and comfortable way to spend a few days in Paso Robles. Staying here and using My Wine Driver really made our trip above and beyond everyone's expectations. IMPORTANT NOTE! Don't forget to plug the gate code into your phone and/or put it in your car so when you come back after hours you can get back in. Also, THE GATE SWINGS OUT! Our first night back was really dark and we almost missed our turn in so I wasn't lined up with the code box. I hopped out to punch it in and the gates started heading right for the car! Fortunately, I made it back just in time, but I figured a fair warning might spare some others the harrowing experience. We were more careful next time and had no trouble. Poor value. Paid $650 for two nights, and was terrible experience. Rooms are cave-like with little natural light, and poorly lit internally. Quirky-cutesy decor did not make up for arriving to a sweltering hot room that had cooked our bottle of wine. AC is a super weak, so didn't help at all. With all doors open could not get heat out of the adobe walls until after 2am. Mattress is old and worn out like a cheap motel 6. Screen to patio is torn, and no one there to deal with anything. Informed when we got there that our vineyard tour and barrel tasting was cancelled. The bathroom lavatory is set back so far on counter you must be nearly 6feet tall to reach it. The light switches are oddly placed, and produce little light. I'm Obviously not the target customer. All that said, the room was very clean. read more

We stayed at the B&B for one night -- it was fantastic! The bed is amazing, the room is spacious and the everything is wonderfully decorated. Its amazing how far the owners go to surround you with color of the southwest. The hot tub under the warm summer night sky was a great way to end the evening. The breakfast was wonderful -- especially after a 30 mile bike ride through the vine covered hills (amazing ride btw). Over the top though was the service -- everyone was wonderfully welcoming and Sean in particular was outstanding. He gave us fantastic suggestions for our evening out and went above/beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We recommend the place without hesitation and our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. read more

The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, the atmosphere was serene and gorgeous, the decor was beautiful and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! I fell in love with the detail and thoughtfulness in the rooms. Instead of half a cup of coffee, the room was equipped with a 12-cup coffee maker, the bed was very comfortable, the fire was connected to the room heater, which added even more to the romantic getaway, the furniture is extremely cute and strategically placed, and there was a journal on the bed side table with reviews from everyone who had stayed in our room. The entire experience was so genuine and individualized. We felt like we were the only guests. Not to mention, the wine was absolutely tasty. I highly recommend this B&B in Paso Robles read more

I will be honest. I sort of want to move into this place. Or at least live in a home that looks exactly like it! Wild Coyote wasn't on any of the maps of the wineries that we had so it was a wonderful surprise to come across it. We were the first in at 10am on a Monday morning. The grounds are amazing and the decorations are beautiful. Bright and colorful without being too theatrical. They also offer a bed and breakfast and I definitely will be coming back to stay here. If you're into whites you won't find anything here, but their reds are amazing. We walked away with a couple bottles, a wine club membership and lots of photos! Jessica helped us out and told us wonderful stories about how the winery came to be. I love how the family all play a part. It really makes you appreciate the wine more. We stayed at the B&B and it was awesome. They have four rooms that are situated like "casitas" that are side-by-side and a house for larger groups. We stayed in one of the rooms. They were all booked, but we didn't realize there was anyone else there. The rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. Kati brought breakfast right to your room, and it was amazing! It's nice that you get the B&B experience but without the awkwardness of being with other guests. The views were nice and you have your own private patio area to sit and enjoy. The rooms were equipped with everything we needed but an iron. Also, there is no wifi in the rooms and I had horrible cell reception in the area. I was able to get a wifi connection at the tasting room. The wines were good. All reds, sorry no whites, and they have two dessert wines. We enjoyed all the reds and took plenty home. Sean at the tasting room was very friendly and helpful. Gianni was there the second day and was equally helpful. We will definitely be back! read more

Bathroom towels and mat.changed looks each day but stayed within theme. A great complimentary bottle of wine and the most awesome breakfasts.... best french toast ever....cinnamon infused...not greasy at all....quiche and Eggs Benedict for the tame pallet. Fresh fruit which tasted like it was just picked. Oh and fresh squeezed OJ...don't even get me started. Great family run business makes you happy to have been a part of their dream. We stayed at the inn to celebrate our anniversary. What a find! Upon arrival we were treated to a tasting of the wines that are grown and bottled on site, soo good. We then went to our room to gine a bottle of their wine waiting for us. Each room is a suite (they call casitas, as the whole place has a very southwestern fee) with its own balcony overlooking the hills and vinyards. I cant say enough about the owners and staff, they have seen to every detail. Cant wait to return!!!! read more

We found a gem! Our hosts Gianni & Kati have thought of every detail. Their heart and soul is involved in this business. We loved our stay extremely. Our lovely casita (one of 5 casitas) was just perfect! Music and AC greeted us at 110 F!! The casita's décor is exceptional, the view just incredible, our bed so comfortable! We spent 4 nights & every breakfast Kati made was just delicious and so wonderfully prepared and presented. Breakfast is brought to the room however there are tables in the courtyard to enjoy one's breakfast. Gianni gave us a very detailed & interesting tour (included in our reservation) of his property that he his very committed & very proud of thru all his hard work- this included also a barrel tasting. This small estate winery & B&B is off the beaten track and still conveniently located to things (10-15 mins. to downtown Paso- 40 mins. to Cambria). We will be definitely back and in the meantime be sharing about our wonderful getaway with friends and family - encouraging them to also have such a great experience. read more

I booked this place with airbnb. It's a little pricy, but I definitely enjoyed my stay. The view from the porch of the room over the field with grapes hanging over my head was beautiful and relaxing. There isn't a lot of light pollution, so you can see the stars. Also, they do have coyotes howling at night. Our stay came with a free tasting and a free merlot to take home. There's a lot of wineries nearby and it was a decent drive to Hearst Castle. I love that the climate is a little warmer here than Napa and Sonoma, which makes for sweeter wines. read more

Kati makes breakfast every morning(great French toast) which was delicious. Great location, many wineries within range of the B&B. We were scheduled to stay two nights however due to a change in our plans we were able to stay a third night. Our friends have been coming to Wild Coyote B&B for years. This year they invited us to come along to celebrate New Years and do some wine tasting throughout the region. What fun. We enjoyed the large room casita, decorated in Southwestern and American Indian themes, with thermostat controlled fireplace (I loved it), a deck with a beautiful view of the hills of vineyards, the sound of coyotes howling at night, the spectacular breakfasts Kati conjured up for us and delivered to our room every morning--all of it with friendly service and fun tasting. Over priced. They refused to give us fresh towels. The toilet was loose. We called the owner. He was unsympathetic . They charge for Wi-Fi. The tranquility and view are marvelous. Diane is a hoot. If you need something, better hit her up before she leaves for the day. After that, it's just you and the coyotes. We visited the winery last year and poked our head in one of the rooms. Decided to come back up to Paso again for an anniversary celebration and booked 2 nights here. A-Ma-Zing place. We stayed in Pueblo Wed and Thu nights and had the whole place to ourselves! Kati's breakfasts are excellent and the location is close to all the wineries back on Adelaida road. The 5 rooms are all together and I wanted one of the king bed rooms but also an end unit in case of noise (turned we didn't need it!), but there's no online map. So here it is: going back in order from the tasting room, they are Hopi, Pueblo, Navajo, Acoma, Zuni, hot tub!! WiFi is free, but why would you want it? Love the quiet, watching soaring vultures in the afternoon and hummingbirds right off the private patio. Gianni and Kati are wonderful hosts and very personable - she delivers the breakfasts herself. We've stayed in 5-star hotels, bures in Fiji, and treehouses on the Big Island and this is right up there. Love this place! read more

The in room coffee was also very tasty. We are not usually fans of smaller venues, preferring the service and amenities of larger properties, but this place changed our mind for sure. My GF and I stayed at the B&B here and really enjoyed it. The rooms are large, well appointed, and well maintained. There is a nice patio area, but it was winter when were there and a bit cold to hang out outside. The breakfasts are the best I have had at a B&B and delivered to the room every morning. I liked the southwest motif and even the tipi out front. Not traditional to the Paso area but fun all the same. One of the reasons I like B&Bs is a chance to meet people, the owners and other guests and that was not happening here. The rooms are far away from the owners home and there was no inside common area so in the winter there was nowhere to go to meet folks. Usually breakfast brings everyone together but with room delivery that was not going to happen. Maybe in the summer people will eat outside in the common area and meet there. One owner was busy with winery operations while we were there and we only had a chance to talk with him when we were checking out. The other delivered the breakfasts she was busy dropping off and did not have time to chat. I really would have liked the chance to interact with the owners and find out more about the winery operation. read more

As our 5th trip to Wild Coyote, it continues to be a great base of operations on the central coast. The rooms continue to be well prepared and maintained, the Southwestern motif very pleasant, and Sean (new from our previous trips) is a great host. The meals were very nice though be prepared to wait a little if there are more than 2 in your party. We suspect their kitchen area is small, allowing them to prepare only 2 at a time. However, assuming you enjoy the company you are traveling with, this is a good time to plan your day. Upon arrival your room is waiting for you with soothing New Age music playing on the entertainment system in your room, quite fitting for the New Age atmosphere they evoke with adobe, vigas and luminaria. The wines at Wild Coyote continue to mature and the current crop is the best we've had. Wild Coyote is highly recommended for the more discriminating traveler willling to pay a little more for a great experience, quiet ambiance, and an out-of-the-way location that is actually quite close to one of the best wine areas in the US. Heck, they even throw in a bottle of wine in each room. read more

We were a party of 6 that stayed at the Hill House this weekend. We had a fantastic trip to the Paso Robles region as we do every year. This was our first year to actually stay here, we've visited the winery several times before. When making our original reservation, we were told that it was $450 a night for this 3 bedroom place and told that it was an additional $100 for a 3rd couple. When we questioned this, the owner had insinuated this may be negotiable, not sure what he meant but went ahead and made our reservation. When we arrived on Friday, Sean the tasting room host was absolutely wonderful, friendly and engaging. We have encountered Sean before and he is a great person to have working for the winery. Our check in was flawless and we found the house to be beautiful, clean and nicely decorated. Off to a great start for the weekend. When we awoke on Saturday morning at 630 we found we had no hot water for showers. We decided to wait until 800 before we called trying to take the owner and his family into consideration. He arrived in less than 30 minutes to address the problem, spent some time trying to figure it out and stated it was good to go and should be ready for showers in about 10 minutes. We waited for a bit and still no hot water, after an hour we called the owner back in to check it out again. He worked on it for a bit and finally managed to get it going. By this time it was after 1100 am so we got a very late start on our one full day of our trip. Decided not to let this get us down and went out enjoying Paso Roble wineries for the day. Great time! Upon check out, Sean once again was very helpful when the owner came in. We approached him in regard to the statement that he would work with us on the additional fee for the 3rd couple and brought up the fact of the hot water issue. His response was that his head was wrapped around bottling and that he would address it later in the day and let us know. We were fine with that. We received a call later in the day from Sean advising us that the owner had told him to bill the full amount. Obviously discouraging and disappointing as we felt we were inconvenienced by the hot water issue and led to believe that the additional fee was negotiable. Not really the best way to treat customers. We were looking forward to staying at this property again, but after this treatment, we will not be doing business with this winery in the future let alone stay there again. We expected to be treated better. read more

This was my first visit to Paso Robles and my boyfriend found this place online through Trip Advisor. I had such a great and welcoming experience here. We spent one night in the Pueblo room and everything in the room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The decor and furnishings were clearly carefully planned. We did the free tasting that is included with the stay and there were 10 different varieties to taste, some of which were quite unique. The Zinfandel Port is amazing! There was a bottle of Merlot included in our room and a gourmet french toast, sausage, and egg breakfast was delivered in the morning. Staying here felt luxurious and relaxing, plus the staff were all extremely friendly and made us feel very comfortable. I even bought a t-shirt as we were checking out. :) read more

Great weekend get away. The room Diane the tasting room was so helpful in locating a dining spot in town. The winery is off the beaten path which makes for a quiet retreat. Our Casita was amazing. After being out for the day, the jacuzzi felt so good with a canopy of stars and a cool breeze. The view from the patio was down the vineyard with a slow moving fog. Made for a beautiful spot for coffee. Our breakfast was delivered to our casita on time and hot. We will be back soon. read more

Stayed at Wild Coyote for 4 nights to celebrate our 30th anniversary. What a wonderful place to stay! Beautiful room, beautiful view, great wine! We had an incredibly relaxing time, which is just what we needed - the tension just melted away the minute we walked into our casita. Kate made delicious breakfasts each morning which she brought to our room. Sean works in the tasting room and was very helpful with recommendations for dinner venues.
