The location couldn't be better--just a short stroll to incredible restaurants, wine tasting rooms, and cute boutiques. The house itself is beautifully maintained, with a perfect blend of classic charm and modern luxury. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, from the plush bedding to the high-end finishes in the kitchen and bathroom. It has a boutique hotel feel, but with the warmth and privacy of home. I recommend relaxing on the porch with a glass of local wine after a day of exploring. It is peaceful, stylish, and spotlessly clean. The hosts are amazing too! I highly recommend this vacation rental for anyone looking to experience the best of downtown Paso Robles in comfort and style!

I was just a guest, so I can't comment on things like wedding coordination or catering (the food was good, but I don't know where it came from), but as far as I could tell, everything went swimmingly. The property was lovely, very California wine country, with tree-laden terrain and gorgeous views. The ceremony was held outdoors, overlooking the surrounding area from a high vantage point, while the reception was in a covered area set up with long tables and a dance floor. It was all really nice and elegant. Temperatures dropped after sunset, but there were blankets on every chair. I always want a blanket, so I appreciated this detail greatly. One thing to note if you're not a dog lover (which I absolutely am, so actually, my experience of this was positive) is that there are a number of ranch dogs who roam the property, including a party dog named Pandora, who lured several guests into games of fetch. The happy couple included their adorable dog in the wedding, so I thought the dog-friendliness worked out quite well. I'd say to count it as a big plus if you're a dog person, and a small minus if you're not. We had a blast celebrating our friends' wedding at Windwood Ranch, and would recommend the place heartily if you're looking to get hitched in Paso Robles. I believe you can also glamp here as well, if you want to spend a few nights taking in the scenery.

As other reviewers will tell you, they don't give a second thought to breaking contracts and leaving a bride high and dry on the eleventh hour of wedding planning in favour of a more lucrative offer. If you, like me, are a person in search of a respite from the daily rigours of life and looked to idyllic Paso Robles for their thermal healing springs and world class wine, I hope to save you the headache and possible heartache almost guaranteed with Woodwind Ranch and suggest you look elsewhere for your holiday destination.

The amenities were so thoughtful and Natalie spoiled us with fresh baked muffins, and a like breakfast in the morning.. the farm is super quiet and there are a few walking trails nearby with views of the valley and a place to truly relax. We took our E bikes. Pet Natalie's suggestions, we rode them to a Ecluse winery, Royal Nonesuch winery and Austin Hope. A great place to bring bikes, highly recommend it. She was able to get us a couple comp tastings, and the people at these smaller wine were just fantastic and so personable. The barn when it's available would be just as nice if you had two other couples to spend the weekend with. Three nights was perfect.

So glad we stayed here! We had a lovely drive down from San Francisco, saw the elephant seal beach,…read moregawked at a heard of zebra, and swooned over the lush wine country before this neighborhood seemed to pop up right out of nowhere. It is nestled in to the hillside on the west side of Paso Robles and therefore avoids all of the track houses of the east side and is a truly unique home. I was very pleased to have access to the two car garage. Our explorer fit in there just fine and it was nice knowing that it was locked up safe and sound at night, although I doubt it'd be a problem if you slept all night with the door open any how. When you walk in it is immediately clear how spacious this home is! The ceilings are vaulted and there are plenty of windows. The bedrooms are also all nicely sized. There are two kings and a queen and they all fit in the bedrooms with plenty of space: no sardines here! The furniture is in great condition, which is important to me. There is a living area, dining area, family area and barstool area. It was nice to just spread out and hang out wherever but I really preferred to be outside on the porch! There are some seats out there on the top floor of the home and it was awesome to just sit out there in the morning and drink my coffee and watch the deer! It also felt very private because they were not kidding when they decided to call it Oaktop Terrace. You are literally in the trees and it is wonderful! The backyard is great too. There are deer that come by and it is great to watch them. They have a deer fence though so it was great to see them and know they weren't going to get at you either. We grilled out back a few times and ate out there too. The weather was perfect for it. Everything was really nice about this home, but it was the tiny things that made it perfect. First, the wifi and cable were great to have. I could have worked from here but nah I was on vacation! Also, the hosts have stocked this place with anything you could need. Don't bother bringing anything for the kitchen because they have all the dishes, forks, cups, utensils you need. There was a coffee maker and toaster. There's a jet tub in one of the THREE bathrooms. They even put luggage racks in the rooms. There was a washer and dryer to use. The towels were all new and I think the sheets were too. We even walked to downtown to get some lunch one day, we walked again to get some ice cream. It was nice to have the car but we didn't really need it until we went wine tasting. Speaking of wine, this place is just a 5 minute drive from so many wineries. We went to our favorites: Le Cuvier, Tolo, and Tobin James. Once we picked up some bottles we went back to the house, sat on the porch and just enjoyed the peaceful times and the wildlife. I even saw my first bluejay! This would be a great house to get for wine or beer festivals because it could accommodate a few couples with plenty of space to spare and without stepping on each others' toes. So, sorry for the long post but I just wanted to share this gem. It was the perfect, relaxing end to our Cali vacation. You won't be disappointed here! We will definitely be back and we will bringing some friends with us.

The pricing on this two bedroom unit is certainly affordable for multiple people-- two couples,…read morefamilies etc. and certainly beats renting multiple hotel rooms. While described as a condo, and references made to the Craftsman structure, it is actually a back apartment walk up behind the owners Chiropractic office, which is housed in a Craftsman style converted single family house. Access is via the rear business parking lot, off of a rear alley and surrounded by modest homes and other businesses. The interior of the apartment is partially updated with very comfortable beds. The kitchen and bathrooms are the most dated with early 80's type tile. The kitchen counters were apparently built up and are unusually tall, perfect for a taller user, but would be challenging for a height challenged person. The location is within several blocks of the charming downtown square area. The apartment location on a busy street provides an early morning wake up call with the sound of traffic, but gets you up early soyou can begin your day in the surrounding ( short drive away) wine country.

RENTER BEWARE: Inaccurate description of amenities…read more Please beware that the list of amenities cannot be trusted and the owner of the property rudely fought back when asked about specific inaccuracies. For example, the listing and instructions stated that we are "welcome to use the Gas Grill." However, after many attempts to light it, we contacted the owner and he responded, "The grill hasn't worked for a long time. I'm going to remove it when I get help to haul it away." In his next response, he states, "PLEASE REREAD the description and the instructions, I state that I removed the grill a long time ago" (he obviously didn't remove the grill). Once I sent that message with his own instructions pointing out how he clearly stated that there was a grill, he ceased to continue any communication with us. Clearly, this is a deceptive tactic to claim certain amenities in order to entice more people to book. Additionally, although there were pots, pans, utensils, plates, and glasses, you will need to buy cooking oil/spray, salt, pepper, or any kind of other spices, napkins, and dish towels as well. These items were not clearly stated as something they do not provide until after we received the check-in/out instructions following booking the apartment. If we had known ahead of time that nothing would be provided, we would not have booked this location. The couch was extremely old and worn out with almost no cushioning left. The beds were also very old and had indentations from use over many years. While the location was ideal to visit wine country and there was ample parking and space within the living room and bedrooms, the lack of clarity with the amenities as well as the rude, confrontational, and abrasive attitude of the manager made our trip less than desirable. I've booked several rentals around the world through VRBO and other sites and have never had such poor customer service from a property manager. He clearly does not care about the welfare and well-being of his tenants. We do not appreciate a person who cannot honor their word and thus feel it is necessary to warn other VRBOers. We will definitely never book with this location or this manager again and would warn others from booking as well.
