When we met Jennifer for the first time at The Groves on 41, we knew instantly this was the perfect place for our wedding. We planned to have a winter wedding on our anniversary, so we knew we needed the option for an indoor ceremony.. And boy did it pay off. We had light drizzle the morning of and my wedding coordinator and Jennifer from The Groves made the executive decision to move the ceremony from the patio to inside in front of the roll up doors of their barn. It made for beautiful ceremony photos with the misty rain and trees in the background. After the ceremony we spent time in the misty rain taking pictures around their gardens. There are plenty of hidden romantic areas for photo taking, not to mention in the olive groves themselves. The rentable cottage made for ease of getting ready and a place for the wedding party to gather prior to the wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for the winery feel, or who needs a flexible indoor/outdoor venue. The grounds are beautiful and the ladies at The Groves are easy to work with and very accommodating. Thanks Jennifer for everything!

We visit Italy twice yearly and I can say with certainty you will NOT find more authentic italian meats and cheeses than you will at Alle-Pia. Their Prosciutto, direct from the source in Parma, Italy, is by far the best and tastiest you can buy on the central coast and their Copa, which they make themselves locally, is absolutely delicious. As far as cheeses go, their truffle pecorino is literally to die for. And anyone who tries Nduja for the first time will get hooked on it. I first experienced this Calabrian delicacy in Tuscany on pizza and was super stoked to see that Alle-Pia makes their own as it's extremely hard to find outside of Italy. Eric, who works there, is super nice and helpful and will always give you sample slices of whatever you're ordering. He also makes fantastic handmade crostini himself. And when Tess is working their (the daughter of the owner), I enjoy getting to speak some Italian with her. All in all I can't recommend this place highly enough to buy your authentic Italian products. Between Alle-Pia and Etto, we're pretty much set.

The boyfriend and I finally had the opportunity to try Etto pasta bar and we were not disappointed…read more From the moment we walked in, we were quickly greeted and for being our first time the kind person at the counter explained during lunch time, orders were placed at the counter and taken to your table. It was perfect timing, plenty of seating indoor and optional back patio seating with a waterfall. We sat inside and once again greeted by the friendly staff, water cups were filled and the lavender lemonade brought to the table. The table had extra plates, which was great because we were sharing our plates. We ordered an appetizer they had as a special(I forgot the name) but it was fried macaroni (not macaroni and cheese) balls with a pomodoro sauce. Beautiful presentation and everything complemented each other, definitely would get it again. We ordered Cacio e Pepe, the sauce was creamy, pasta cooked perfectly and seasonal pesto with walnuts and fresh basil, very good. Everything was delicious and we can't wait to comeback and try a different dish. We didn't get a chance to go to the store next door, but we talked about having a pasta night at home so we will be back. We felt welcomed by the staff and they were on top on checking on the tables. They also have a pasta tour so that's next on the list of things to do. Local or not, or if you love pasta give Etto a try and then go pick up some pasta and other goodies at their shop on your way out. Buon appetito!

My wife and I decided to try Etto Pasta Bar after reading the positive reviews and hearing others…read morein town raving about the food and service. We called ahead and were told no reservations were needed as they were not busy. We arrived about 1 hour before the lunch service was ending and there were only two other families in the restaurant and we were promptly told to select our table I was told that we had to place our order at the counter after we reviewed the menu. Our table had dinnerware and water glasses but no salt and pepper or other spices. We suspected they would be provided when we placed our order. I ordered the daily special - lemon cream linguini with salmon and my wife ordered the eggplant parmigiana (one of her favorite dishes). We also ordered the Caesar salad to share and the house-made potato chips. We both ordered ice tea drinks but had to request sweetener and when we did not receive any I had to retrieve some from the front counter. Our entrees were served within a few minutes and before our Caesar salad so we could not enjoy our entrees immediately. When our salad arrived I had to ask for a separate plate to share with my wife even though I had told the person who took my order that we were sharing it. When the salad arrived we had to ask for pepper and Parmesan cheese to season our salad and were told they did not provide croutons with the salad. By the time we got to our entrees they were lukewarm. The eggplant parmigiana was served in a small dish and lacked flavor. The lemon cream linguini also lacked flavor and the salmon portion was very small. At no time during our meal did our server check on us to ask us if we needed anything or whether we were enjoying our meal. We did notice the servers chatting in the corner while the customers were dining and appeared to be ignoring the diners. We did not finish our meal and boxed up the potato chips (which were delicious and plentiful) and left the restaurant without any acknowledgement from the waitstaff or the front counter person. I think management needs to train their waitstaff on their customer service. It wasn't as if they were busy with other customers. One more thing: since it was lunch service and I had to order our meal and pay for it before we were served I left a generous tip which, in retrospect, was not earned since we were completely ignored during our meal. I suppose I should have mentioned it to the staff but there was no one around when we left the restaurant except the three waitstaff who were still chatting in the corner. Needless to say, we will not be returning to Etto even though we live in Paso Robles.

We started with the meatballs and wedge salad--both were so good--and then followed it up with the rossa pasta with sun-dried tomatoes pesto and burrata. Every dish had layers of flavor--not just good, but the kind of "wait... what is that?" in the best way. Everything felt thoughtful, balanced, and really well put together. Sharing everything made it even more fun, and honestly, we left completely satisfied and already talking about coming back. Our server was the bartender, and he was very attentive, kind, well poised, and handled things very professionally. Happy hour cocktails a bonus. They also have a rooftop lounge which looks pretty sweet, but we did not venture up there today. But definitely something I would recommend checking out if you're in the area and you just want some appetizers and a cocktail head upstairs!
