Great spot, really cute inside and the food was excellent, but I just wish there were more places to sit. I came in on a weekday and every table both inside and outside were full so I got my food to go. The breakfast sandwich is excellent, croissant is wonderful and I added bacon and avocado and they gave me so much avocado. So good!

Orange blossom eclair

3.5 stars Went there late in the afternoon, so unfortunately most of the pastries were already sold out. I ended up getting the croissant, orange blossom éclair, and hazelnut tart. The orange blossom éclair was definitely my favorite--it was light, refreshing, and had a lovely floral fragrance. The croissant was good, but nothing particularly memorable. The hazelnut tart was a little too sweet for my taste, and I wish it had a richer hazelnut flavor. I'd definitely go back earlier next time for a better selection!

Farine Bakery & Cafe is one of my favorite cafes to order breakfast as the menu is vast offering something for everyone, and the greatest perk is being able to place very large orders in advance Customers service is always impeccable at the Redmond location, I've only been during morning rush but I notice the team works together to get everyone timely served. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor dining. You can't go wrong with any of the selections as the menu includes a variety of leafy greens, sautéed tomatoes, many protein options, flaky croissants, and well crafted drinks. Farine never disappoints, I will definitely return and highly recommend!

Prolly the best pastry I've had around the area. Their Crème brûléen cruffin beats the croissants Ive gotten from Paris Baguette, L'Experience Paris and other places. Really want to make this my go-to place, but it's ridiculously crowded, we were lucky to have found a table but it was probably the most chaotic seating arrangement I've experienced after visiting 30+ coffee shops and bakery around the area. Their pastry is so good I'll prolly go back

Créme Brulee Cruffin(I've gotten this three times already!), Honey Lavender Scone

I've gone here a couple times now, and I love the quality of their pastries! Street parking can be pretty hard to find, which is a small downside. The cafe gets really busy in the morning, and indoor seating fills up quickly. There is outdoor seating with some heaters, though with how cold the weathers been lately, I prefer getting my bakery to go. I love the crème brûlée cruffin, and the lavender honey scone (also one of my first orders from here) is awesome! It's not surprising that the cruffin is one of their best sellers since it's pretty big and well worth the money. I also appreciate that they include tags for gluten free and vegan options, it'd be cool to see more food using both categories. During my most recent visit, I bought an almond berry cake (the only one that's vegan and gluten free), and I really appreciated the server asking me if I'd like the cake to be packed separately from my other orders. I've bought these pastries to share with friends and family, who've equally enjoyed the treats! Overall, farine is now one of my staple bakery spots in the Eastside!

Reached near closing time so could only eat the desserts. No wait time. Loved the orange blossom eclair. It was light, airy and citrusy with just the right sweetness. Will definitely come back for it! The crème brûlée cruffin and almond croissant were good.

Crème Brûlée Croffin

Got a crème brûlée croffin and iced hazelnut latte with oat milk. 5 stars for both. The crème brûlée filling tastes exactly like the real thing (without the crunchy top), and the latte was perfect, not too sweet nor too bitter. Only con was that there was practically no room to stand and wait for your food after you order, but that's nothing to complain about.

We were visiting, and were looking for a breakfast with Gluten Free options, and found this bakery. When we arrived, the bakery was quite busy on Friday morning. We went in, and it's one that you order at the counter, and then look for tables. When we looked at the menu, there were a handful of gluten-free options. There were some pastries that were gluten free but they were in the same cabinet with other pastries. So, we ordered a Farine breakfast, a GF waffle, a orange cardamom mocha, and a hot tea. Luckily we found a small table. The mocha was interesting - there's a piece of orange rind which added some citrus note, and a hint of cardamom added some depth to the mocha. The dishes were average. I think the pastries and some of the drinks can be interesting, but not for those looking for gluten free options.

Came here for bfast from out of town and saw this close to the hotel. Very nice presentation and plenty of seating. Staff was very nice. Belgium waffles were actually good. Better than waffles i had at a pancake house in the same town. Would recommend

Display Case

I had never heard of this bakery before, but their display of goods was too tantalizing to pass up. We walked in just to check out what they had, and what do you know, we came out with a couple of items.... Baguette ($3) - Three dollar baguette from a legitimate bakery in this area, when competitors are normally priced $5-$7? No way... after ordering one, I figured out why it's only $3 - it's more of a demi-baguette rather than a full size one. It has decently developed flavor and crust - I wish it were baked just a tad longer to develop more golden browning. As it stands, some portions of the crust are a bit too soft, making the baguette compress quite a bit while cutting into it. But it's not completely underbaked, so there are some good crustier areas. The interior has good flavor and the crumb isn't too dried out, although not particularly moist. It has a pleasing chew and is generally a good texture. It's not the best baguette around, but it's good enough for the price, for the area. (4/5) Creme Brulee Cruffin ($5.50) - There's no torched sugar on the custard itself, instead, it's mostly along the rim. It's difficult to tell the lamination quality due to the heavy filling compressing the dough. The filling is robust, nicely eggy and vanilla flavored. It's set well like a thick pudding. The pastry is otherwise pleasingly sweet and slightly buttery with a good chew and nicely baked crust. (4/5) I wasn't expecting to just walk across such a good bakery in downtown Redmond. I will definitely be back in the future to try more.

This is probably hands down one of my favorite bakery in Redmond Downtown. I've been coming here since it opened and have tried a myriad of menu items, ranging from food to pastries to drinks. They all excel, especially the pastries as I have a huge sweet tooth and they never disappoint. Also need to mention how freshly made everything is. The staff bakes everything every morning and will be restocking periodically until they run out. The croissants are also super flaky and crunchy. The location in Redmond can get pretty crowded depending on when you go, so plan to go before 12 pm especially on weekends if you want to snag some of their popular pastries, such as tarts or eclairs, otherwise they'll be sold out. The location is longer than it is wide, and it offers several tables along with outdoor seating. However, due to the unique structure (due to the building they're under) it can get pretty crammed on weekends, so plan accordingly when you visit. Overall, highly recommended!

Avocado Tartine, Pumpkin Brioche and Tomato Soup

I'm a huge fan of Farine! Their pastries, breads and sandwiches are to die for. Not expensive, super authentic and absolutely delicious. I've been to their Bellevue outlet a few times and tried the Redmond one, was amazing as always. The place is pretty and get busy, so plan accordingly. The ambience is great too. Highly recommend their eclairs, their seasonal menu, and the avacado Toast Tartine!

I had my dog with me so I needed to sit outside. She offered to do a to-go order for me and bring it outside to their patio when it was ready, which was so kind of her! I appreciated Jessica finding a way to accommodate me and my dog. Their outside patio is a lovely place to sit and is dog friendly. I had the corned beef hash and it was SPECTACULAR! The hashbrowns were griddled up perfectly, the corned beef was tender, the green onions and onions added a nice bite and fresh note, and the eggs were cooked as requested and added to the overall dish. The sourdough bread was well-toasted and I liked that it was buttered and came with an assortment of jams; my favorite was the marionberry. I also got a coffee that was nice and hot and they had Irish Crème creamers which was wonderful. Finally, they were nice enough to accommodate my request for a pup cup; which was so sweet of them! The prices are pretty reasonable too, IMO. If you're in the Redmond area looking for a cafe with diner vibes serving fantastic food with a smile, check out the Village Square Cafe!

(I haven't justified buying a whole cake for myself, but I truly want to--and am tempted to do so) The food is great and I'd love to go back. I went on a Monday, so it wasn't as busy as it would be on the weekend. The servers are kind, and you typically order from a QR code unless you're having a hard time (and they'll help you!). The breakfast sandwich was excellent, mostly because of that bread pillowy soft, fresh, and the kind of texture that makes the whole sandwich feel a little more indulgent than it has any right to be. The coffee cake was delicious, with great flavor, though just a touch on the dry side. Still very enjoyable, especially with coffee. But the real star was the chicken and gravy. Easily the hit of the meal. Rich, savory, comforting, and the kind of dish that feels familiar but still makes you stop and appreciate how well it's done. Also, not pictured: the chocolate peanut butter cake, which may genuinely be the cake of my dreams. Rich, decadent, perfectly peanut buttery, and absolutely heavenly. Overall, a very strong brunch lineup with thoughtful execution and some genuinely memorable bites. I'd come back for the chicken and gravy and that cake alone.

I've worked at a resort in Wailea for over 30 years and understand the challenges that come with accommodating larger parties. However, the way we were spoken to was, in my experience, one of the rudest and most unprofessional interactions I've ever encountered.
