Overall 4.5/5 stars…read more I wasn't expecting much. Yelp reviews were hit & miss. But it was the only place close. The entrance is a bit long and the carpet is a bit worn. But inside has got to be the cleanest restaurant I've been to-ever. Even under the table legs were extremely clean. We ordered hot & sour and egg flower soups. They were both good. I like my hot & sour quite hot & sour and this was mellow but delicious. For entrees, we got chow mein with the crispy noodles on the side and a side of white rice. The other was a Combination Dinner number 8 with pork egg foo young, with some to friend rice, sweet & sour pork and fried shrimp. The food must have gone from the wok to the plate to us in seconds because it came out super hot. Everything in the chow mein was super fresh, cooked perfectly and beyond delicious.I was told the other plate was good, too. The fried rice had flavor which is a nice change. Usually it's just has a bland brown sauce and little of the fried flavor you want. I definitely recommend trying Szechuan Chinese Restaurant.. I would love a place like this near me. Portions were good and prices were fair. Food was really good, service was super good and ambiance was ok. The carpet is dingy at the entrance and they had some boxes and supplies sitting out which didn't bother me at all. It's real and a good place to eat and that's the most important to me.

The menu threw us a little at first, but the staff more than made up for it. They walked us through the options, suggested dishes, and helped us figure out the right portions for our group instead of just letting us over-order. That kind of attentiveness at midnight says a lot. The space is small and clean with a handful of indoor seats -- not somewhere you'd linger, but exactly what we needed. And the food was genuinely good, especially considering we were ordering from a limited late-night selection. If you're passing through and hungry after hours, this is a solid stop.

Not sure what to expect and with zero people in the restaurant, we trusted the Yelp reviews and proceeded to order a takeout meal. I'll just say that the food has a depth and complexity not found in most American Chinese restaurants (Jade Dumpling excepted). The dishes are still American style (to my uninformed mind), but ELEVATED, as they like to say on TV cooking competitions. Prices are reasonable if not very fair. I don't think anyone could be disappointed. Give them a go.

There wasn't enough flavor. I expected better after reading an article about them on Eater.

Wish there was a bit more chicken and veggies but overall the noodles were delicious and savory sweet with nicely cooked chicken, bell peppers, onions and mushrooms. I was about to drive out to Portland area to find it but Yelp help me find this place that was only 6 mins away. Thank goodness! On the outside, I wasn't sure if this place was open, but as soon as I opened the door, I see there were people dining and the hostess greeted me right away. I informed her I wanted to do take out, so she handed me the menu. I was impressed that they had some dim sum items to choose from and was thinking this will be the best surprise for my daughter! I ordered some basics and the century egg and pork jook (congee). The wait wasn't long and the items were packed nicely. I wish they added some yellow mustard and shoyu to dip but maybe it's something I should have asked for. Overall, I'm am glad this place exists. I chose brown and it's not like traditional brown rice...it's much more delicious. It is tasty by itself without any sauce or seasoning. We came mid afternoon and I think we're the only people here. Our food still took a bit to arrive and the required time along with the heat suggests everything is prepared fresh. I loved it. The veggies were not over cooked. They were crispy! The pineapple is unfortunately canned but it's good. I like fresh better but canned is still good to me. I'll probably be back twice. Next time I'll have Pad Thai and then I'll have this orange chicken AGAIN because YES it's that good!!! If you find this review useful please VOTE!
