July 25th 2021 the two members that were working behind the gelato counter and behind the stick counter had the worst attitude ever. I wouldn't be surprised if it was due to racism. Cute idea! Lots of flavors to choose from. We each had something different. I had almond base dipped in caramel biscotti topped with dark chocolate crunch, coconut and coffee drizzle. One son had vegan raspberry dipped in chocolate topped with m&ms and white chocolate drizzle. Other son had brownie caramel brittle dipped in chocolate with dark chocolate crunch and caramel drizzle. Giving 4 stars because 1) its a little hut and seating is outside only..which wouldn't be bad unless you didn't know and its pouring buckets when you arrive 2) flow could be better..i.e. needs a better exit than the entrance you came in. 3) lots of choices could be overwhelming. They could benefit from a suggestion board. We didn't need one ..but some people dont know what to pair with what and could use some help. read more

Stopped by here due to the cute setup (it's in a shipping container!). I was very pleasantly surprised by not just the friendly service, but also how tasty the popsicles were! We got green tea matcha and orange creamsicle. The green tea matcha was so rich and creamy - it tasted just like a honey matcha latte! And you can actually taste the matcha flavor - definitely the best matcha popsicle I've ever had! The orange creamsicle was great as well, with bits of real orange mixed into creamy vanilla. The gelato was in my opinion kind of subpar considering the wait time. The line was wrapped around the street. I liked the atmosphere and presentation, a shed like hut in the middle of one loudon definitely gave it a summer vibe. Not sure if I would go again though. read more

If you really really have a sweet tooth, then this place is for you. I give it a 3 star just because you get to choose which ever flavor gelato you want and there's a lot of flavors! On top of that there's a variety of toppings you get to choose 3 toppings for your gelato! They have a few flavor dips that you can also choose. It's picture worthy don't get me wrong lol. I loveeee ice cream but honestly after a few bites it's overly too sweet. I couldnt finish it so i personally think $6 wasn't worth it. Another place that has jumped on the "build-your-own" train but with popsicles. Pretty gimmicky and, while it seemed like a fun concept, it was poorly managed during my visit there. It operates in a shed-like storefront in One Loudoun and had four associates working the line so it moved rather quickly. There was no menu of the popsicle options to browse before approaching the counter, and once you finally have a chance to see the options offered at the counter, you must choose quickly without holding up the rest of the line. My 3-year-old couldn't decide until after we ordered popsicles and were at the toppings section (a good 7 seconds after getting our popsicles), so when we asked the associate who did the toppings to get another popsicle, he continued to complete our order with furrowed eyebrows. The total for 2 plain (mango and pistachio) popsicles and 1 dipped (s'mores in chocolate) with sprinkles was $18. The tables in the common seating area in front were sticky and covered with gelato, there was trash on the ground, and the ice cream cone-shaped trash cans were filled to the brim. You'd think that the staff would take some time from behind the counters to clean up the area but considering they could barely crack a smile to say thanks, I'm not surprised. Sorry, but $6 for a mediocre popsicle covered with sugar and pissy service doesn't add up for me. If the staff were friendly, I wouldn't have minded as much. You can get a better quality dessert and service with a smile a couple blocks down the street. read more

on one of the hottest days of the year i made the trek to fantasticks! hellooooo heat wave. fantasticks is basically a high end paleta shop. maybe i am spoiled by south american prices but these were very expensive ($5) before toppings (an additional $1.50). our total was about $35 for four...yes, it was a fun experience and a treat for the eyes but too expensive for a daily treat. i appreciated they nice section of flavors and variety of toppings and the assembly line that makes it somewhat interactive. there is no seating so you have to take your items to go. there is an ample amount seating right outside though. this would have been OK on a normal day but not OK during a heat wave. things got melty and sticky real fast. the shop is also really tight inside (think: single file line) and there is only one door. there should be a door at checkout so you don't have to awkwardly scoot by the other people ordering. overall, a fun experience. just not sure if i will be going back any time soon. read more

This is such a fun late night snack! The gelato is as good as you make it, as you craft it from the bottom up. First, you pick your flavor of gelato, then you pick up to three toppings, then you pick your dip flavor, and then you pick your drizzle. Mine was really rich, but very delicious. I picked a tiramisu base with a chocolate dip and white chocolate drizzle. My husband picked a smore base, with a chocolate hazelnut dip, and white chocolate drizzle. This location is in one of the cute little pop-ups in One Loudoun. There is no indoor seating or anything so plan accordingly. This place was okay. The concept is you pick your Gelato Bar and then add toppings. I asked what people really liked. She said the really good ones were sold out. She named a bunch that people liked and I chose the strawberry. I topped it with chocolate coating, almonds, coconut and chocolate crunchies. To me the gelato was just okay. Seemed to be too many ice crystals and not enough strawberry flavor. I thought Gelato was supposed to be more creamy? My husband got the Cookies and Cream with chocolate and some other toppings and it was very creamy. I liked my husband's Cookies and Cream much more than mine. The concept is fun...just wished the product was a little better. I would be up to coming back and trying a different flavor if family or friends wanted to go but there are other dessert locations nearby that I would rather go to. read more

It was a hike getting to this place let me tell you. But the second I saw pictures of the ice cream here on social media I knew I had to try it. The place was not difficult to find just far from where I currently live. It's settled in a really nice shopping center and takes up very little room. You order any of their flavored popsicles and/or ice cream bars, get it coated in chocolate and then pick your toppings. I picked the rose ice cream bar with white chocolate coating and plenty of yummy toppings. I thought the bar was honestly delicious and I would definitely eat it again. The coating was thick and provided a nice mouthfeel and the toppings added a great crunch. I also was worried that the rose flavor was going to be overpowering but it wasn't at all. I didn't like how small the place was though, if it rains and they close the doors it is impossible to get in and get out. However, I understand that this place is a pop-up and that is to be expected. I also want to give them kudos for answering the phone. A big pet peeve of mine is when businesses don't answer the phone, especially pop up shops like this where people really need to know when their open if they are traveling from far distances to frequent the spot. This is honestly one of my favorite things that has come to Loudoun! It's so good and you can switch it up every single time. it does melt a little quickly with the heat but overall it's amazing. This isn't gelato. This tastes like if you let ice melt in half a cup of lemonade and then refroze the whole thing. However the worst thing about this place is that they steal from their employees. If you tip on your credit card they don't pay out those tips to the employees. The owner takes it. Cool concept, mediocre ice cream. Kids are super friendly. It really bothers me that the owners do not pay the kids the tips that are earned via the credit card transactions. These kids work in the heat all summer and are told "we do not know how to evenly tip everyone so we aren't paying the tips out." What kind of business does this to these high school kids? read more

Gelato is ok. However, the tip a customer leaves at time of purchase does not go to the kids working. They keep all electronic tips and do not pay them out to the employees working there. Beware! If you leave cash tips, the kids will get those. read more

sort of like a $6 fudgesicle dipped in a coating. they had such odd flavors, no plain chocolate and all the vanilla was out. no plain chocolate coating either, so i went with a vegan one. I chose coffee. it was very frosty inside, like a fudgesicle, not the creamy gelato i am used to, and I have had gelato in Italy, best ever. did not care for the tray they put it in as the pop stuck then later the tray did not hold the bits that melted into it. so... why not just scoop a dish of gelato and put toppings on that? why pay more for it on a stick stuck to a box? this just was not a hit for me and I think its geared more for a date thing to do? too pricey for kids. but, if you like strange flavors, this is for you, they definitely had that. but the price tag really put me off, and they want a tip too. spent $15 on two pops with tax and tip. read more
