The gelato is amazing here and I've stopped by on shopping trips so many times because I know I will never get disappointed. There is usually a line at the shop but it moves very quickly. I can only speak for the gelato since I haven't purchased their chocolates or coffee, but I'm sure those items are just as good. I always purchase the regular size cone with two scoops of gelato. Are you in the mood for Hot Chocolate while at Tysons Corner Mall? Venchi has got what you need. The inside of the cup is covered in a think chocolate. Then hot chocolate is poured into the chocolate lined cup. Whipped Cream is optional but how could we resist. The cup is small but the flavor is rich so it really is the right size. On a cold day this was a warm treat while walking out to the car. An added bonus was the very friendly sales person who seemed to really enjoy making and decorating the top of the cup with sprinkles. Venchi is known for their Gelato which looked really good as many people were ordering various flavors. We will have to go back and try Gelato. I would pass this gelato store hundreds of times at Tyson's Mall and there would always be a line out front. I would always tell myself I need to try it out some day. I'm so glad I finally did. I love their vegan flavors the most as it doesn't take like a fake fruit powder it taste like they have a puréed fruit blend when making it. I am only rating their coffee here. I was told they serve amazing coffee in Italy, so I went and tried it here... I saw their setup had a decent grinder with plenty of beans and a small espresso machine. As I watched the employee make my coffee, I noticed that she put a capsule inside the portafilter. I asked if she could make me my coffee with fresh beans, but she said they changed their machine recently and no longer use fresh beans. They only keep them for decor. This was very disappointing and misleading as I do not drink capsule coffee. read more

Venchi has some of the best gelato we've had so far, and to have it conveniently located in the mall is a plus too. You can sign up for their rewards program to get freebies. Always a treat coming in there, and we usually get a cup of gelato where you choose the outer layer (like if want it in crushed nuts for example), and ours was topped off with a little chocolate coin. We usually get the 75 percent dark chocolate that's sinfully delicious, soft, rich, creamy, but this time we tried the 80 or 82 percent dark which actually was a bit too much. They had many flavors. I chose the pistachio and tiramisu, and they also include a piece of chocolate on top. The gelato is very delicious. I would love to try their fruity flavors next time. I really have nothing to say, but this isn't a store! It's a Stargate that takes you to Italy from Tysons Corner and gets you the best Gelato ever! This is the best Gelato in the DMV AREA!! Mango is my favorite!! Small store, so you have to take your Gelato and walk at the mall! I really wish they could have open another location somewhere else in the DMV , Café style with seating area because I know they will be amazing! I've tried the espresso, and it was amazing. Came here to get some gelato with friends and the line was pretty long. I figured it must be pretty good given the line and I had time to spare so I waited. I got a regular cup which comes with two flavors, so I chose caramel and stracciatella. I've really been on a chocolate kick lately so I wasn't interested in the fruity flavors. I got the piece of dark chocolate on top to seal the deal. Of course you can sample the different flavors to see what you like best. I thoroughly enjoyed my gelato as it tasted very rich and not overly sugary. The added piece of dark chocolate really didn't much for me and I actually could've gone without. I was so thrilled to hear that this Italian staple came to the Northern VA area. I remember when I first tried it in Italy & it surpassed all of my expectations of any gelato I've ever had here in the U.S. Though a small selection of gelato flavors here, you're sure to find a flavor that you will enjoy. My friend told me about this place and every single time I walk by it there's a huge line around the corner. I always thought 'worth it for gelato?' It was a Tuesday so there was no line so I decided to check it out. I tried the tiramisu, and a biscoff flavor which the lady recommended. I also just had to try mango because I've been on a mango kick recently! I don't even have words to describe the mango gelato. My eyes rolled back and I sighed 'omg' this is too good to be true. It tasted like Italy in a cup! So of course I had to get it with the chocolate cookie on the bottom and the cookie on the top. The inside of this place is the definition of luxurious and not your typical ice cream shop! I will say it is a bit pricier for what you're getting. For a baby scoop it ended up being about $10. Welcoming and kind customer service. Go when it's not busy and you'll feel well-taken care of. Smells great in there and THE GELATO IS INSANE. I was literally shocked at how good it was. Creamy, the flavors come through perfectly, it's indescribable. High quality product. The milk chocolate medallions on top of any cone are a good advertisement for me going back this week and buying a whole bar of their chocolate. Definitely would never do that at Godiva, but I don't harbor any guilt about spending my money here. Prices are what you pay for, when all's said and done. Haagen Daz storefront isn't much cheaper, and the mall iteration isn't that memorable or flavorful compared to Maple Street Vienna and the pints from the store. My go-to is the pitaschio and hazelnut. Hazelnut is heavenly - a more subtle Nutella with a punch of tangy chocolate at the end. Pitaschio is sweet enough to balance out the nuttiness. The staff tries really hard to mold the gelato into those super tiny cones, I do feel a bit bad. The cones (basic ones) aren't anything special, so to save time and worries about someone knocking it out of your hand in the Tysons throng, just get a cup. Unless you want to try the upgraded decorated cones - which I will - just in a large size instead of a skinny regular. Good business model. Also, how classy is it that you pay up front depending on the size and toppings AND THEN the scooper scoops your gelato in front of you. Like, how chic. Where is the Crema??! read more

This place was packed and being the gelato lover I am, I had to give this place a shot since Venchi operates in Italy itself. The process was quick- it was hard to decide which flavors I'd like. I got a small cup with half mango and half cremino (cocoa and hazelnut.) The mango isn't extremely sweet, but it's incredibly refreshing and balanced out the very sweet and indulgent cremino. I tried a sample of their coconut which was very sweet and delicious as well- I recommend that to try. I definitely would come back to try more flavors at Venchi. The most melt in your mouth and soothing Gelato! I have had some pretty wonderful Gelato here in the the U.S. but as far as texture goes was the best. They had a lot of different flavors to choose from, so thank you for that. The service was not great, and they pretty much are snobby especially if they think you aren't buying anything. On the weekends the lines are ridiculously long, passing the superdry...I work in Tyson's, so i told myself i would stop by when they have no lines on a weekday. Anywho i like that there is a chocolate vs. Gelato line, that way you're in and out if purchasing chocolate. Gelato takes forever and i was the only customer. Although the options were great, the actual cost versus product ratio was absurd. I paid $11 for two tiny scoops on a tiny cone dipped with nuts... they didn't even explain i could do that until i was done ordering...and I had to ask about it from the displays i saw. Considering how much you're paying for artesanal Gelato their customer services needs an upgrade. Hate serving Gelato and you suck at it? Venchi is the best gelato in Virginia. The shop is conveniently located inside Tyson's corner mall Infront of Macys. I used to see this store passing by always full of people and used to think I'll try their Icecream/gelato one day. Last month in March it was my first time and let me tell you this there is no stopping after that. My favorite flavor is pistachio gelato here.
