So I was trying to wait til my full order got delivered before I left a review, but I've gotten like six emails about leaving one so here you go. I originally placed my order early January the first shipment got delayed a day or two due to weather. No big deal except it was missing one of the three items. I email support they get a replacement shipped and I wait. A week goes by and again the shipment gets delayed due to weather. It has now been two weeks since that delay and there has been no update still. At this point it has been over a month since I placed my order and I don't think there's any chance I will receive my full order and their policy is to not provide refunds. So I love me some moonshine. I was walking in the mall and saw the sign and I was instantly hooked. Ttthheeennn.....there was no moonshine. BUT, their chocolate and service made up for it. The variety of fudge options were amazing. The two young ladies that helped me pick the flavors knew how to help the customer and recommend good flavors. When I asked if the ship out of state and signing up for the rewards, I was sold. I definitely recommend this place. Now if they only had moonshine. And why I gave it 5 stars? I am a huge fan of dark chocolate, at least 70% because much of it is too sweet for me. Their Blueberry explosions snack bags are good, but sweet. The Bourbon black cherry snack bags are very good. Their dark espresso fudge is really good. But their dark chocolate espresso beans snack bag are pure "chocolate crack". I am not crazy about their truffles. I would buy the snack bags instead. I recently ordered more fudge and it tasted a bit sweeter than in the past. One of the things I liked about the dark chocolate espresso fudge was that it was not too sweet. I recently lost my husband and find that my tastebuds are off right now. I froze it and will try it again later. In the past it has been excellent. I have bought from vendors at Pet shows etc. Now I mostly order directly from the website and have been pleased with the product and the quick shipping. read more

I am honestly shocked at this place has such bad reviews. However; after going through them it's a little confusing if people actually visited this location or just the brand at a farmers market or pop up. I for one visited the location in the Montgomery mall second floor. Our group is killing time before our dinner reservation. We decided to come in here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised. At first I was sad to see the Godiva chocolate go but I am on board with the shop as well. The great thing about this shop is that the employee really wanted us to love everything we bought. We were able to try anything we wanted. Ultimately because of how friendly he was we bought a variety pack that we were able to customize our self. I personally like the Irish cream, and the nonalcoholic chocolate peanut butter. Other favorites were the orange and the spicy infused. We were even offered samples of the fudge, as someone who doesn't like fudge I can't really speak to how good or bad it was. Others in the group didn't seem to mind it, but did state that it was a little sweet for their liking. The shop is a little expensive, but if you're getting it here in there I don't see anything wrong with the pricing. read more

Please don't be put off by the price. The 10 pack is a great sampler of some of the wonderful flavors offered at this chocolatier. The moonshine used in the chocolate is not only a legally responsible amount but also illegally good! The fudge is also delectable. I had the peanut butter fudge and the creamy taste has a way of enveloping the tastebuds and encouraging you to eat 1/4 of the fudge in one sitting. Treat yourself! read more

This is a review of the shop in Montgomery Mall, Bethesda. It's very cold out so my husband and I went to the mall to get some steps in, but we got sidetracked by Chocolate Moonshine. Instead of burning calories, we shared a piece of espresso chocolate fudge. It was so creamy - very much like homemade. Some of the best store-bought we've had! They have a lot of other items and flavors of fudge that I'm sure is worth trying. read more

Very nice lady inside, but the chocolate truffles all taste the exact same. It's good chocolate, but again they all tasted exactly the same.

This cute pop up store is located next to Brio and Coastal Flats in Tysons. It is originally from PA, and yes I love locally unique shops. (The owner lady didnt even know what Yelp was so she kept looking at me suspiciously and asked me why I was taking so many pictures lol) These beautiful chocolate bars instantly caught my attention and I had to get some samples. They have a wide variety of flavor selections ranging from fruity ones to liquory and nutty ones. I tried black cherry, which was smooth and delicious, yet not too sweet. The owner lady told me that these bars are low in calories as it contains less sugar, but the fruit flavor was intense enough to make it deliciously sweet. I thought the 10 bars for $20 was a steal, as chocolate prices are really high these days and you pay over $2.50 on average for a piece of truffle. You get to pick your own flavors so it will make a great gift for others or yourself. I got one large box of 10 bars and a small empty box (50 cents) to share it with my dear friends. read more

Two and a half stars. This kiosk closed up after the Christmas season fizzled out, and I'm not sorry to see it go. Very pretty exterior painting on the chocolates, but most of them are way too sweet and don't yield enough essence of their namesake ingredients. Semi-runny moonshine centers, delicate shells. Blood orange was my favorite of the set of 10 the boo picked out, with an honorary mention to amaretto. That said, each artisan fudge bar makes for an easy sweet tooth fix to split between two people. read more

Extremely over priced for value and customer service sucks. Went to Sugarloaf Craft Fair on Saturday in Chantilly, VA and sampled one roll, then moved to the other side and asked to sample one fudge. The woman was so rude accusing me of multiple sampling which was absolutely not true. I was going to buy something but after that rude interaction and so many other vendors, I took my business elsewhere. I spend several hundred dollars at this show and you were not one of them nor will you ever be....I will take my business elsewhere with appreciative vendors. Suggest you fire you fire your existing show staff and start over. You won't be getting my business. But all my friends and co-workers in Tysons will know to avoid your business. read more

I did not experience Chocolate Moonshine Company at Tysons corner. However I did sample and buy their chocolate while I was at the Southern Women's Show in Richmond, Virginia, which is where I am from. Ever since then I have been raving about this chocolate. When you do a build your own, you get a custom fit of what flavors you enjoy. After I bought the chocolate I would eat it how they would give samples because that size is all you need to enjoy the flavor anyway. I would enjoy my chocolate with a glass of wine or after dinner. A sliver of this chocolate will go a long way and I made mine last. My personal favorites were the Moonshiner, Smoked Whiskey, Black Cherry Bourbon, Espresso, Sea Salt Caramel, and Tiramisu read more
